Wow this is such a unique and wonderful take on Sonilver! While I’m not the biggest multi shipper myself, I love seeing other people make art of different characters together.

Sonilver is kind of an underrated ship in my opinion! I think their personalities are so incredibly sweet and genuine with one another that makes for really fun character interactions.

I also agree with you on Silver just being so blunt and honest with people. I think that’s what makes him stand out from other characters.

thank you! I'm not a huge multishipper or anything, but my favourite is Sonilver and I also think Sonamy is cute. just look at Amy's hub world dialogue in Unleashed! adorable :)

as for my favourite qualities of Sonilver, I like how their qualities contrast, but are also similar in a way where it makes sense they would get along! Silver is very straightforward, as well as socially clueless in some regards, and these two characteristics can conjoin to create funny situations; for example, expecting people to believe him when he says he's from the future. it helps that Sonic finds this a very charming trait of Silver's, if you read their wallpaper cover story.

imagining this in a romantic context, him being very forward about his feelings for Sonic can end up being unintentionally flirtatious and a little too blunt for Sonic, putting Sonic on the back foot so he gets real awkward or flustered. my reasoning behind this is that he isn't a very affectionate person in general, most commonly displayed in his interactions with Amy, and these interactions also show his reactions to overt affection being levied at him, which is often awkwardness and aversion. additionally there are a couple moments where Sonic responds with shyness or deference at being complimented. so, that's my canon-compliant reasoning for portraying their dynamic the way I do :)

I also love seeing Sonic's rare, shy side come out with specific people since he's not usually like that and he's usually socially adept enough to put others on the back foot, so thinking about what circumstances make him act otherwise allows me to put him in ✨situations✨

as for what they share in common, they both are selfless and dedicated to positive change. with Sonic saving the present and Silver protecting the future, they help build a better and brighter world!

it's a unique scenario since it's such a rare pair and I'm basically trying to reason their dynamic based on their personality traits and what is shown in how they interact in the games. with what little is given, it feels a lot like unmarked territory that I'm trying to find the best way to navigate, but it's fun!
