Spartacus and Marcus Crassus (show) appreciate blog because Simon Merrells hits all of my nonexistent thirst buttons with his performance.

I hate Simon Merrells for making me realize the EXACT type I had, and all my goddamn taste, in a show where he's a powerful, rich bastard.
It's always the strategic, cold-blood types with a lot of danger + well... them going absolutely soft and melting for the love of their life. I'm NOT over that ending episode 😭😭

I’m 4.1 seasons into Spartacus. Crassus has been onscreen 5 minutes and he’s my series favorite, the evil Roman fuck
I couldn’t WAIT for this Awesome Bastard

See grave concern give way. The city is taken, and I stand unscathed.

You're completely valid.
What is there to NOT love about the man?? (for his time anyway)
Spartacus Confession
I sorta have a little bit of a thing for Crassus. Is that wrong? I mean, yeah, he’s Roman and sort of screwed up (but then who on the show isn’t) but he’s kind of a good guy? Plus, he’s a bit of a hottie. Or it could just be my unbelievably bad taste in men and my utter attraction to bad boys and villains.

Sad that the apple grew into a rotten, green piece of shit.
Apparently some people are trying to ‘understand’ what Tiberius did.
What he did was to hit back at another man (a powerful one) by attacking a woman (who as a slave and a non-fighter is one of the most helpless people on the show) instead.
That makes him a vicious coward, and not another poor victim of Crassus.

Damn, do I agree with that sentiment.

the thing i love about war of the damned is that they’ve got me rooting for the romans because of this fucking dude.
like he’s the antagonist but you respect his intelligence and severity and then he’s suddenly passionate and actually three-dimensional and gets about as many steamy as all goddamn hell sex scenes as everyone else. a+ would perv over again.

The Patronage of Gaius Julius Caesar
In 65 BC, Marcus Licinius Crassus was elected censor with another conservative Quintus Lutatius Catulus (Capitolinus), himself son of a consul. During that decade, Crassus was Julius Caesar’s patron in all but name, financing Caesar’s successful election to become Pontifex Maximus. Crassus also supported Caesar’s efforts to win command of military campaigns. Caesar’s mediation between Crassus and Pompey Magnus led to the creation of the First Triumvirate in 60/59 BC, the coalition of Crassus, Pompey, and Caesar (by now consul in 59). This coalition would last until Crassus’ own death.
