The scene in Been There, Done That when Xena wakes up and immediately murders Joxer before rolling over and going back to sleep is the epitome of what I love about the groundhog day trope.

Like please give me some insight into what this character is like when there are no consequences, that's like half the draw for me. Give me hilarity as well, because if a groundhog day fic doesn't have shennanigans what's the point? I want to see the character driven half out of their mind from frustration and boredom, taking advantage of their ability to predict exactly what happens, and again taking advantage of everything being erased the next day.

i'm such a big fan of laios using being well fed as proof that he's serious. like there's so many techbros & etc who will use not eating breakfast as proof that they're productive & just in general, the idea of being "too busy to eat" is getting more common (which is exactly what toshiro is doing here!) but laios is like. no. i'm so serious about this i'm thinking about what comes next. i'm so serious about this i'm making sure my body can do everything it can when i need it.

the fact that everyone in the party took care of themselves & carefully planned out their route & when they'd take breaks is what made them so successful. they always made sure to understand their limits

a weird thing is that we got waves of people going "who cares if its cringe or youre annoying! have fun!" but no one really learned how to accept the fact that some people will find you annoying or think your art or your work or posts or anyrhing sucks and thats ok. rather it just became a weird "if people think youre annoying theyre just morally bad. let people enjoy things!". like no i think this yes man only biome sucks and people are allowed to not like artstyles and shows and media and other things
