My favorite cold salad. From a small indian cook book I have. Fried chicken, heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozz, oregano and a balsamic glaze.
Cucumber diced with crushed peanuts, serrano chile, lemon juice, sugar, salt (of course), finalized with a tadka. (put the cayenne in a pile on top in the middle of the salad, heat oil till just about smoking then add mustard seeds to it and when all are done popping, dump it on the cayenne and voila! )
