The child is not even two pounds, he is in the intensive neonatal care unit. He is blind, may be unable to walk and he may not survive at all. Adriana Smith's mother, April Newkirk has affirmed that the decision to stop life support should have been the family's. The baby's name is Chance. Fuck Brian Kemp, I hope he gets sepsis.

i can't express how frustrating it is that it's been over a year since my friend ibrahim's (@aburakhiaibrahim) fundraiser was made, and he's still not even halfway to his goal. his sister in canada is waiting for him and the rest of their family to be able to come join them (their request for family reunification has been approved) but they cannot do that without submitting biometric information. which they cannot do from gaza, for obvious reasons - it must be done from egypt. they need money to be able to cross the border into egypt so that they can start the process of going to canada and finally, after so long, reaching safety.
the rising food prices in gaza due to israel's illegal, inhumane blockade have made it harder for ibrahim and his family to get through the day, too, because they can't afford food. ibrahim is tired. every time we talk, he tells me how afraid he is. it breaks my heart. he deserves the chance to finish college, to worry about the usual things people his age worry about. his family deserves safety and security, to wake up and not worry about food and if they'll survive the day.
his fundraiser is currently at $14,820 CAD out of their total goal of $30k CAD. if you can donate even the price of your favorite coffee, it would mean a lot to him. please, i'm begging. don't let his family down. if you cannot donate, please share this post. his fundraiser keeps losing traction which is affecting his morale. please, don't let him feel alone.

i do love to discover punk bands at shows and wishlist their stuff on bandcamp omw home and then i give it a full listen and it sounds like dog. say what u will about turnstile but they had it right when they said "you really gotta see it live to get it"
#eff#at first i thought it was cause i busted my headphones in the pit (didnt realize i had em on until they fell on the ground lol) and one#side doesn't work atm until i get the replacement part. but no i'm listening to the album at home. & it sooo pales in comparison to the liv#difference of not having the bass reverberate thru ur bones i guess... but oh my god please the mastering pleaaase.#still gonna get physicals on bc friday tho trust. or catch em when they come 2 Myyy Cityyyyy

if you want to materially aid palestinians undergoing genocide, please consider donating to the zahrat alhanun mutual aid fund. i personally am in contact with some of the organizers and can attest to the work they do. they're currently low on resources for the palestinian students and families that rely on them. you can learn more about ZAMA here! please share widely!!!!!

Father's Day means nothing to me: my own f*ther (now estranged) is a despicable man and forever polluted the concept of fatherhood for me. This year, however, I pay tribute to the Gazan fathers who for too long now have been going through the unspeakable. In particular, I think of Mohamed -- @save-mohamed-family -- whose entire extended family was martyred, and who is alone fending for three children trying to survive famine, disease, constant bombing, displacement, genocide, and unending grief. It pains me how little I am able to do for him and for Gaza, beyond donating and sharing fundraisers, but this post is not for me to dwell on my own helplessness. Instead I would like to say: if like me you don't have a father figure to honor this Father's Day, perhaps you can honor Palestinian fathers instead.
As always reblogs are very appreciated.
