So I had some asks done on my Hawaii blog and honestly rekindled me wanting to draw them a bit. I figured I'll post the sketches and preliminary thoughts for responses here at least!

Decided to draw a piece for @askqueenmoon simply because I love Nightmare moon, and I like drawing others interpretations of a Queen Moon! I hope you like what I did your Majesty!

So, bored at work and decided to (finally) draw this boy again. This pony was one I adopted along with a bat pony and I instantly got a Lord Beerus and Weis vibe off the two. Naturally, I'm not following up with it. Interitus is a God of Destruction. He's honestly happy go lucky and just overall seems a bad match for the role, however his power is tremendous and he does take pleasure in what he does. The bat pony goes by the name as Caducus, and has been training ponies like Interitus for Millennia. He's a very serious and down to earth pony that treats everything like business, however Interitus has been able to loosen his demeanor into a less serious tone.

Draw this!

Yo! Can someone out there draw this scene? I play DnD with my roommates, and we had an encounter after breaking 2 Orcs out of a hidden jail area. Bit of backstory, we’re in the middle of a war with orcs. We’re attempting to defend a city from onslaught Orc attacks. The point we were at is the Orcs had backed off to regroup and begin seiging again, however, they’re leader, War (yes the horseman) had sent demon spawn into the town to weaken and distract us. One of the locations we stopped at was a jail that from what we could tell had no one in it. Well we found a hidden compartment that led to a basement that held two Orcs. After talking with them, we find out they’re pirates that were captured right before the war started and they were kept prisoner due to potential allegiance. We have a half-orc on our team and we find out that his father was apparently the captain of the Orc Pirates. After making they’re acquaintences, we leave the hidden area to be greeted by a crap ton of guards. They recognize “our leader” and begin questioning us on why we broke out these Orcs when one of the soldiers was shot by an arrow from some invading orcs. Queue initiative and this where I want to little scene to begin.

As a party, we decide that we are best to arm the two orcs and hope for the best in their aide in this fight. The DM is joking around before rolling to hit saying things like “Oh, well I’ve never even touched one of these before, I don’t know how this will go.” and the proceeding to roll a Nat 20 and almost killing an enemy. Keeping up with the charade, he states “I imagine you stick them with this pointy end” and he proceeds to do some sick spear moves before landing his hit. The actual PC party focuses the Bow user on the roofs since we’re mostly spell casters or ranged. Come around to our “inexperienced” Orcs’ turns again, they both land Nat 20s, and kill their respective enemies. The party is floored as we take care of the rest of the enemies.

Seriously, if someone wants to draw these “inexperienced” Orcs go at it, please do!

Queen's Moon and sun have had a major impact on Twilight's life from a young age. Queen Moon saw a lot of promise in the young unicorn with her exceptional skills in magic, and her pure unicorn heritage. She saw a Unicorn that one day could be fit enough for royalty. Queen sun on the other hand was still busy tutoring another student, Sunset Shimmer, using herself as a primary example of what pride and arrogance can do to a pony. Twilight was always kept under the watchful eyes of the Sister's personal guard, her brother, Shining Armor. Since Twilight was always in the castle being groomed for royalty, and Shining was always there keeping watch over his sister and the queens, he never had a chance to meet the lovely Princess Cadence. During Twilight's training, she was not only taught to master and control her great magic, she was also trained to be as regal and elegant as any princess would be. Queen Moon wanted to right the wrongs of her and her sister, and saw no better way to do so than to train a fresh new princess and use the past to show what Jealously, ignorance, pride, and even arrogance can do to those in power. Once Queen Moon saw twilight ready, she ascended her to the position of Princess of the Evening. Being that Twilight never had any interaction with other ponies, she never really learned of the power behind friendship, therefore, her magical abilities are still very stunted. Later on, through interactions with princess Sunset and her friends, she will learn the powers of friendship, but that's for a later time. 

Sunset and Twilight ascend to Princess status at different times. Twilight is literally groomed to be a princess and once she has achieved that status, as deemed by Queen Moon, she is promoted to the rank of Princess. This, after hours of study about princess duties, honing her magical prowess, and working with Queen Moon, is bestowed unto her after about 10 years. Sunset on the other hand, has to go through the tasks of learning and discovering the powers of friendship, and go about mastering them to achieve her rank. Once Sunset learns and discovers fully the magic of friendship, she is promoted to Princess, where she will continue to study and train. This is when Twilight and Sunset officially meet, and work together to use this newfound magic.

I’m trying

I’m trying so hard to make a comeback and get back into drawing. For the last few days, since I got my new tablet, I have made the attempt to do a drawing to post. Just something off of a sketch I did at work, however, My SAI does not want to save at all. As soon as I select anything from that menu, save, save as, export, it immediately freezes up. I have no idea why it’s doing this and it is really frustrating. I’m trying though, and I hope to have this figured out within the next couple days.

I’m finally feeling like my old self, and it’s super frustrating that I can’t just draw without risking it being gone forever.
