i love people who love, may it be petting a street cat or hugging a friend or admiring your partner or going down on a person. It just warms my heart. there isn’t a piece i drew that had multiple people in it that didn’t have love inside it in some shape or form, no character of mine can truly be happy alone.

i finally did a background without any funny brushes this time because i forgot💔 i miss using 3d brushes, laces, diamonds, grass etc on clouds

i don’t know how to draw heads in perspective or kissing so making this was a nightmare

at least i fixed the heads because i accidentally skin wrapped her hair but it’s still off💔

this was just an excuse to draw aang and korra

completely in a mighty 40 mins or something this was a glorified sketch because i realized Aang’s pose (and hand obviously) was wring halfway through and my batter way on 10%

both are my children btw,

you know every single avatar? yea they’re all loved and nurtured by me in this weird AU and all of them have perfect childhoods and their conflicts don’t deal lasting psychological damage to them.

this one doesn’t have a history tbh, i was too fixated on modeling my ocs but i didn’t wanna do anyone than what i have done but my brain needed that ‘doing art rn about something i LIKE (no art homework allowed)’ happiness so i decided that this should be my next pretty drawing, made a part of the lineart too stylized so i remade the whole thing in it

think of it im so absolutely screwed about the homework she threatened to make me retake the whole year if i didn’t bring this one in and in 5~ days i did 35% of what i needed to do and i don’t even know if i did it correctly

I need a gun because how is Katara not winning by a landslide

Katara helped Raise Korra, train her in her first element, incorporating not only combat techniques, but also valuable skills and aspects of their culture like healing. She went on to oversee Korra's training even after she graduated to the other elements, and when she saw that Korra was losing steam, she intuited that Korra needed to leave. She encouraged her to do so, and I know that meant a lot to Korra. Especially as everyone else insisted on handling Korra and trying to control her (even with good intentions), Katara was the one who encouraged Korra to take her destiny into her own hands.

Katara : Aang's time has passed. My brother and many of my friends are gone. It's time for you and your generation to take over the responsibility of keeping peace and balance in the world. And I think you're going to be a great Avatar. Korra : [Hugs Katara.] Thank you. Katara: [Close-up of Katara's face, still smiling with her eyes closed.] Goodbye, Korra.

Katara was there from day fucking one, and her and Korra's bond is a treat to observe. Its also so visible in how Korra carries herself, her values and opinions, that Katara had a huge part in shaping the person Korra is. They're both confident, strong women with a firm belief in their ideals, and a burning desire to help others.

Korra: But I couldn't just sit by and do nothing. It's my duty to help people.

And this is all not even getting into the fact that Katara helped Korra walk again, healing her physically and starting her on her mental health journey. Without Katara, Korra wouldn't have even been able to make it to Toph!

And this still remains one of the most powerful scenes in the entire Avatar franchise to me. It is such a wonderful crowning of Katara's core character traits- hope and resilience. That stubborn, unyielding faith in the good in the world and belief that things will get better because you will make it so- this scene reminded me why Katara is my favourite character in atla, and how important she is to both shows.

This scene is also so wonderful about Korra's character, and I know so many people struggling with mental issues resonated with her here. And I know that Katara's words meant a lot to them, as they did to me and to Korra.

Also, I just adore that Katara's necklace seems to have Raava's pattern on it, it's just such a cool detail and it really makes sense for these two to be symbollicaly intertwined in Korra's story.

And not to discredit Toph, because there is some merit to be found in her time with Korra, and it is ultimately what helped Korra heal. But also beating up a 20 year old for a few weeks, not too long after said 20 year old was paraplegic seems like a steep price for a few nuggets of wisdom.I also have personal gripes with how this part of the show was handled but thats neither here nor there.

idk why its that long tbh and yea i gave her pants for a second and lace+dimonds were used for texture. Yesterday when i drew this it was an incredibly boring day, tuedays js suck tbh. And one of the music classes had a concert but unlike like every other concert of the same type (end year) we weren’t allowed this time even though they had space :(

Notes about this single panel from her 'dream reality':

The guy: He is the guy who in the beach episode invited Azula, Zuko, Mai and Ty Lee at the party. At the balcony scene, Azula tries to flirt with one of the guys (though I don't remember which one and she doesn't seem to remember either) but the guy gets scared (his loss) and refuses her. With him being there it means she has a good reputation and social life.

Uncle Iroh: You can see he is present as well, we didn't see a bond between him and Azula but now we can see Azula wanted him in her life. Iroh is complimenting her, calling her "The conquer of Ba Sing Se" meaning in this reality she did conquer Ba Sing Se as in the canon, thing that Iroh couldn't do. Iroh was also the one who gave her dolls as a gift, nothing wrong in that if he didn't gave Zuko weapons, very inappropriate but it shown how he saw Azula and Zuko.

Ozai and Ursa: Both of them are sitting together, this means they have a good relationship, this means Ursa was never abused or had to leave the castle. In Azula's dream reality her parents are loving each other.

Zuko: There is a lot about him. He doesn't have a scar, meaning he never had an agni kai with his dad, the scene where Azula seemed so happy... she wished it never existed and her brother remained with her. Zuko says AZULA killed the avatar SINGLE HANDILY, again, Zuko was never thrown away so he never had to "Regain his honor". He, as everyone else seem genuinely happy for her.

Ursa: Beside the fact that in this reality she has a good relationship with Ozai, she is also loudly complimenting Azula, she genuinely looks proud of her.

There is a lot more going on but I think you got the idea
