Just came across your blog and I just can't with such cute lil HermitCrafters. You are amazing and love the little details in each plush. Had to send you this before continuing to look through the rest of your posts. I do also have a question. Would it be okay to reference and take maybe heavy inspiration from your work? I'm not all that good at crochet but your stuff has me wanting to return to it and see if I can make some of my own Hermits though I don't think I would post them. Sorry this got a little long but yeah. I really love your work
Thank you for the lovely message! :D
Details are honestly my favorite part of the creative process. It is kind of like magic how the basic doll shape takes different forms with various embroidery stitches, felt details, rhinestones, and other stuff (nailart decorations are truly one of the best additions to my ever growing craft supplies stash lol)
As for your question, I'd say go for it. I'm heavily referencing the original MC skins myself, so it would be silly of me to act like no one else should do what I do. I'm sure you'll add your own twist to those characters. So pick up your hook and have fun!
hihi!! i actually use a bunch of different yarns, depending on what i need them for. the main are Elian Mimi, Elian Nicky, Gloria, and Merino (Czech), and also Hit from Schoeller+Stahl (German). I do have some other random bits and pieces for particular projects. There's also a few very random yarns from my mom's old stash that have long lost labels and I'll probably never be able to source them again if/when I run out of someday.
(I like to think that with every doll I make and send out into the world, people get a little piece of my home country :D)
hello! I love the plushies that you crochet, and I was wondering how you do the hair! It looks really good, but I can鈥檛 quite understand how you did it! Thank you!
hello! there's really no mystery behind it, just simple chain and single crochet, and then hoping for the best with the length :)
