Lmao when I first conceived Yours Truly, I also imagined Corrin to have grown up with long hair then chopped them off once she left Wammy's. And when they see each other for the first time in years, it sets up a contrast between one who has changed physically and one who hasn't.

Additionally I thought it would be funny if Corrin gets attached to Near's new long hair and Near's like "You see how fun it is yet you deprive me of the joy 😒"

I think you mentioned once that Near likes his partner to have long hair, so what do you think his reaction would be if one day suddenly his S/O, who has always had long hair since they met, decided to cut her hair without telling him and simply appeared in front of him with very short hair, like above chin height?

Near's a little bit disappointed to lose one of his personal favorite sources of stim (and an additional excuse to touch and be close to you) but he's got plenty of other interests to keep him occupied. Because of his tightly-controlled, insulated environment throughout the story, I've always interpreted him as a person who isn't fond of big and sudden changes. Showing up one day with ultra short hair would probably be jarring and his first reaction might not be what you'd hoped (less-than-enthusiastic even for him, staring, a thoughtful hum that sounds a touch skeptical). Still, once the initial shock wears off, he compliments it earnestly. "It suits you." Tidy, flatters your face, accentuates your neck. Near has an appreciation for aesthetics. Particular short cuts might grow on him more than he expected. A lot of people really, really enjoy the feeling of freshly buzzed hair. If you've ever had something like a fade or undercut or sidecut and couldn't stop petting your own skull, you know what I'm talking about.

Two questions with this:

1. When tf did Diavolo found Passione? It must have been after he knocked up Donatella Una but also before Bruno Bucciarati joined 8 years prior. So he really expected people to believe he formed Passione between the age of 0 - 7 🫠?

2. How did he reconcile or even begin to explain the differences between Diavolo's policies and his own? 😭

Like can you imagine Giorno in those early meetings with the remaining higher-ups of Passione after what was essentially a secret coup d'état?
