((twas a day in i think 2010 or 2011, when young 11-year old danni was trying to watch her anime on youtube in 3 parts when something called vocaloid kept popping up in her recommended section. she’d seem people on ff.net and deviantArt rave about it, so she finally gave in and picked two at random. they were monochrome dream-eating baku and servant of evil.

i was instantly hooked.

it’s probably the interest ive stuck with longest. i still pretty actively keep up with the latest voice banks and big songs. i’ve actually stuck with mothy and the evillious chronicles since i listened to servant of evil all those years ago. anybody who knows me on discord can testify how nuts i get when theres a new album. and yes i cried at the heavenly yard release. also ichika art in fgo when.

so yeah, 8 years on and im still a huge fuckin weeb for vocaloid. to the shock of nobody))

im gonna cheat here and list a few.))

honestly there’s tons i would love to see in canon. more sengoku era figures in general, more scottish figures that aren’t scathach and her cash-cow clones. just to name a few. but grainne o’malley stands out a lot. love me some badass ladies who took no shit.

as for one i dont want, aside from ones ive made ocs of and grown attached to, three come to mind. naotora ii, hatshepsut, and ranmaru mori.

fiction versions of naotora in genera i have…mixed feelings on. senbasa’s feels generic strong lady with a soft spot, koei-tecmo’s is adorbs but also my city now. i dont really have a ton of faith in fate to not go down the boring or super waifu routes.

hatshepsut would probably end up as sakurai-written ozy wank. i love ozy but also…no wank pls. let her be her own woman. the one i always looked up to as a child.

ranmaru would end up gross tr*p jokes. he was a beautiful warrior who devoted his life please dont resort to pandering for the astolfo and d’eon fandoms.
