 HOW MANY DAYS, WEEKS, MONTHS had it been since Obi-Wan had come under his care? How many arguments had there been? How many smiles had been exchanged? How many times had he encouraged Obi-Wan? How many times had Obi-Wan encouraged him? How many classes had they attended in total? When had Obi-Wan started calling him dad, and when had Qui-Gon fully accepted him to be his son?

For the moment, he didn’t care. Obi-Wan had brought a joy, a LIFE back into his home that had been lost the moment he was forced to observe Xanatos’s retreating silouhette. It was as if suddenly, he remembered how to smile, how to love, how to be HIMSELF again. 

And all that spurred so much thought stemmed from the young boy’s earnest chirp of HAPPY FATHER’S DAY, DAD.

Bringing his towering form down on one knee, he put his hands on Obi-Wan’s shoulders and SQUEEZED gently, smiling broadly. “Thank you, son. Thank you.” He promptly pulled the other into his arms, his smile unrelenting. No doubt his thank you was much DEEPER than in acknowledgement of a holiday formality: it was all his heart, all of his GRATITUDE toward EVERYTHING his son had given him as a gift, including his mere presence in their home.

Okay, but y'all should post a 👌 on the dash so I can comment one of my favorite things about your blog.

No one's looking. Not a soul. They're alone in their little corner of the hangar, armored men pacing about as they prepare for space flight. Rex slips a hand underneath Obi-Wan's outer robe, massaging soothing fingers into the small of his back. "Almost ready to depart, sir."

                    At this point, he doesn’t even NEED to lift his eyes to see if there are others. He trusts Rex so entirely. ( His paranoia has become that of his lover’s -- something worrisome to consider later. ) Still, he casts a vague glance about, just a moment, before glancing toward the armored captain. Obi-Wan’s back arches at the contact, so odd to be disturbed by the mundane feeling of cloth and plastoid separating their skin. He lifts a hand against Rex’s shoulder, a thumb finding its way into the joint crevice between the plates of armor.

                     “ Everything is prepared, I take it? ”

What is better than receiving kisses from a loved one? Likely receiving twice the amount from two handsome clones, one nuzzling into the crook of his neck and the other, a softer, gentler man peppering kisses across his lips. Twice the love. Rex is just feisty.

                    One alone makes a compelling argument – but two can completely win a war when working in tandem. Obi-Wan had made it as far as getting out of bed, a challenge in its own right, and into his trousers before he’s assaulted. He doesn’t even manage to reach for his tunic by the time he feels soft, sleep-warm skin press on either side of him. He’s POSITIVE Rex is the culprit and sent Cody to do the dirty work; they both know neither of them could ever deny Cody.

                    He had hoped to enjoy his morning meditation under the rays of the new sun, but by the way Rex’s hands slide up his bare sides and Cody’s gentle nuzzle against his nose, the Jedi realizes this is a dream that simply won’t become a reality today. HE SUPPOSES HE’LL LIVE. Casting aside any attempts to continue dressing, his hands rise to Cody’s jaw, drawing him closer as he leans back into Rex’s chest.

                    “ All right, all right – you win. ”

patting his back when he did well, petting his hair when he’s upset, getting his attention by touching his hand, helping him up Every Single Time he fell down/sits down, dusting off his robes, kissing his head Whenever he gets close enough, hugging him when he returns from battle

obi-wan your child is tactile, you need to give him affection and contact enough of that emotional constipation
