A collection of fanart sketches I’ve done for some of favourite guilty pleasure series, featuring my ocs Clover & Casper. From Left to Right - Clover & Ais from Touchstarved - Andrew Minyard from the All For The Game trilogy - Asmodeus from Obey Me & Casper.

I love that sketch of Clover & Ais. Idk how I did it but it’s got so much movement in it and it feels like I can actually hear Clover laughing - or maybe that’s just me being sappy for my OC lol. I need to draw all these characters more, they are a lot of fun to doodle.

Um Howdy Y’all! Just wanted to say a big thank you for the love on this piece. Touchstarved fans really love this boy (for good reason we love a polite but potentially unhinged man)

I’ve got some more touchstarved art coming down the line, mostly Oc & Oc x canon stuff. But y’all liking this so much makes me want to finally get around to drawing a full piece of my best boi Ais - so look forward to that eventually!

A gift illustration I did as a Christmas gift I did last year for my best friend of Leander from the Touchstarved Demo. I’m a huge fan of dating sims & visual novels and this demo was one of best ones I’ve played. Me and bestie played it together and I’m dying to play the full release when it comes out! She picked Leander (obviously lol) while I’m an Ais man myself. The art is honestly gorgeous and I wish I could emulate it better than I can.

“Captive Angel”

Another bit of fanart - Asmodeus from Obey Me & Nightbringer. I only played the first Obey Me and didn’t get too far through the main storyline but Asmo really captured my heart. If I need a pretty character for a sketch I tend to use him lol. At this point I should just make him an oc since I haven’t been keeping up with the lore or games.

This piece in particular was a doozy to work on! The main figure is all done on basically 1 layer and took me 3 full days to finish, from initial sketch to final render. It was a lot of fun to render the musculature and skin. It felt like a very detailed life drawing, and I love doing nude life drawings. The pose/composition was inspired by Daniele Accosato’s viral Box n.1 Amore Rapito sculpture. They’ve done a whole series of statues similar to this one - maybe I’ll do some of my other favourite Obey Me characters as the other statues someday.

Some random character doodles I did recently. I was just playing with colours and trying to loosen up my process after a while without sketching.

I really like how the skull-guy turned out, maybe I’ll make them into a sticker or something to put on my laptop…

“Mr. Glitch”

I realised I forgot to post a full version of my pfp mentioned on my last piece - so here he is!

This glitchy guy was a character I drew a lot of for my personal branding assignments at uni and kinda became a bit of a mascot for my art. Especially since I don’t really like posting my face outside of self-portrait works.

He doesn’t have a proper name yet so if anyone has any good suggestions, lemme know! I’m really stuck for a good one rn.

“Just a Little Bit Longer”

Another retouched older piece - this time a bit of vent art I did in my last trimester of my bachelor’s degree. I had just had a short film I was directing cancelled and was up to my neck in deadlines, assignments and artistic burnout so I need to let it all out a bit. Contrary to the vibe of this piece, I did have a lot of fun in my final year (despite its many, many setbacks) and was very much looking forward to graduating. But getting there did take too much out of me in the end.

Here’s to better working habits in the future!

Fun fact: This is the piece where the inspiration for my little glitch mascot in my pfp came from.

Yeehawgust 2024: Greener Pastures

Saddle up, folks! We’ve got greener pastures on the horizon, because it’s time for Yeehawgust’s 6th year this August!

Yeehawgust features daily art prompts as well as alternative weekly prompts, for those of us who are a bit slower on the draw. Don’t draw at all? No problem! Submit any art at all, be it illustration, comics, writing, fanfiction, photography, embroidery, sculpture, music, or whatever other creative endeavors you might enjoy. All skill levels are welcome, and this can be a great opportunity to experiment with new styles and techniques. 

Maybe you love media like Red Dead Redemption and Fallout: New Vegas, or classic westerns like The Magnificent Seven. You might enjoy the genre, and you’re looking for a chance to make a cowboy AU and put your OCs in chaps and your blorbos in a Stetson. Heck, maybe you just really want to draw horses. Whatever your reason, you’re welcome to join in, pardner!

This series is close to my heart. Watching the anime 3 years ago reignited my love for creating art & inspired me to go back to art school, and I regularly re-read the manga. I’ve never encountered a character I related to as an artist much as Yaguchi.

In honour of the live action movie coming out worldwide next month - Thank you Yamaguchi-sensei for creating such a wonderful series that captures what it means to be an artist so intimately!

Dialogue is taken directly from Volume 1 of the manga.
