Sometimes I feel myself getting stuck in a CAS rut and a lot of my sims end up looking very similar. I’ve seen these types of click and drag generators often as writing resources, or as silly games to predict the “future” and thought it might be interesting to tailor it and incorporate it directly into the sims so I’ve thrown a quick one together. Everything is still quite open-ended so it’s all up for personal interpretation, it’s just a push to get you started. 

*Note: I included alien and vampire under gender. If you get one of these options, feel free to drag again until you get male/female to determine the gender, or choose it yourself. Like I said this isn’t set in stone and is more for inspiration than hardcore rules. If you don’t have the vampire pack, just pull a different result. No biggie.

By no means do I take any form of credit for this idea, I’m sure it’s probably even been done on simblr in the past, I just wanted to throw my hat in the ring and thought I’d share it with all you lovelies as well. x

SIMS 2 DEFAULT DATABASE: AN ORGANIZED EMPTY FOLDER ARCHIVE SO YOU CAN KEEP TRACK OF YOUR DEFAULTS

I’ve been wanting to remove my standalone CAS custom content for a while now and only use defaults but unfortunately I was never really able to keep track of what I had already and hadn’t replaced.

So I made this empty folder archive to help you organize your defaults. The way the folders are organized mirrors the the Sims 2 Default Database homepage, and I included S2DD’s provided catalog thumbnails in their respected folders.

Tarot Storytelling Challenge

I’ve been a little obsessed with the aesthetic of tarot lately, which i’ve been channeling into D&D, so i thought…why not bring it over here? SO here’s the basics. This challenge is based on random draws and everything is open for interpretation- there’s no set rules for this challenge. I made this for myself, but if anyone else wants to do this, feel free! Addendum that this is not REAL tarot, i don’t KNOW tarot, I’ve just been researching for D&D and thought i’d move it here. :D

So essentially, at the start of your legacy, you make 4 draws. These will affect your legacy in different ways throughout each generation. Then, for each individual gen, you will make 3 draws: heir, spouse, and conflict. 

Its up to you to tie all these together to make a story for each generation- there’s no set rules per generation, as long as you tie the cards into your story in whatever way your think necessary. 

General Rules:

The only cheats disallowed are money cheats, except for storytelling/picture taking reasons (making a house look decorated, for example). 

This story doesn’t have to be berry, but i love berries and will be playing it so. Generation 1 starts with a pure color, so all one shade. Anything else is up to you. My color scheme will be darker colors + jewel tones.

Stick to the draws you get. It’ll be more fun that way, i promise. If you don’t like the card you get, read up on it here. It might mean a lot more than you think. 

How to draw cards: each card has a set number, so you can use a number generator- I’ve linked some below. If you have a tarot deck, you can use that. We’ll be using the minor and major arcana, and splitting the minor arcana into the four suits. Or, you can take a regular playing card deck, substituting a joker into each suit to make it an even 14 instead of the 13 regular decks come with. (the one “missing” is either the prince or the princess, as there’s ace-10 and a queen and king, then the jack for prince or princess, and joker for the other.)

Generation 1 starts with your founder experiencing (or waking up from) a weird dream, that they don’t remember. The dream is detailed below, along with all the rules for drawing cards. I recommend following along and writing down what you get as you read, just to get you in the mood and have everything organized!

✨ smol pocket camp tips: ✨

want to pick your fruit but lack inventory space? no worries, just leave the fruit on the ground and pick them up when you need them! they will sit there until you need them!

pick up your shells! they spawn slow and most villagers request them daily! the faster you pick them up - the faster the timer will start again!

shake all the trees! any trees that don’t grow fruit have a small chance to drop bells! so shake every tree now!

if you have linked your Nintendo account, go to more > my Nintendo! they give extra stretch missions which give out leaf tickets, clothing, and lots of bells!

best place to spend your newly found leaf tickets? extra crafting slots! it’s best place to spend them - more space equals more crafting duh!

before inviting a new villager to visit your camp - make sure you’ve finished all the requests or talked to all of the villagers at your camp. camp requests reset after you invite a new member!

always help people out with digging - you get bells in return for helping out! ya free bells!

certain crafting matarials are hard to get, such as cotton and preservatives ! it’s always best to have villagers at your camp who give out these items! rex for example gives out cotton :-)
