Don't worry! The only things that will be changed are aspects of herself that have held her back all this time. Her fear and suspicion of affini, the ingrained shame she has over her desires, her tendency to melt down and fawn whenever she does (or thinks she does) something wrong, among other things of that nature.

To put it simply, I'm not going to make her less herself. I'm going to help her become her best, and happiest self.

I'm going to have my system pumped full of powerful drugs soon, to prepare for my implantation. Which means this the last day where I'm… this version of me, I suppose. This has me feeling very reflective…

So much has changed for me in just a month. I was alone, I rarely talked to anyone, I had a body that made me dysphoric, and I was so starsdamned touch-starved. Now I have friends, a girlfriend, a Mistress… and I almost don't even recognize myself in the mirror. Even my own voice startles me sometimes. I'm so cute and girly now.

Do you know what's funny? Both Lilith and Avaline told me that they deliberately tempted me over to florethood. Apparently they and everyone else clocked me as a "giant seed" from the beginning, which apparently made Avaline's mother hen instincts act up. This, along with Mistress's hold on me from the moment I saw her… wow.

I never stood a chance.

Anyway, thank you all for helping me feel a little less alone and scared during my last days as an independent. In hindsight, creating this account was deffo a cry for help and, well… I got it, haha.

I watch them with Rebby (you remember Rebby right? Little red stuffed lizzard.. thing? Always on my bunk or in my arms?) But watching with another person is.. a different expierence. One I miss!

If.. you can get here my door is totally open for you. There is probably some Affini on your ship that'll be able to point you in the right direction. And they shouldn't give you any trouble because you have a destination!

Oh wow I've been really busy lately... I forgot I even had a net account like this. It was so far from my mind. Anyway hey, Maxi K. independent! Hope you all are doin' good!

I've been great honestly. I was away visiting with Carver and Moira (and by extension their mistress Inia Cal'rea) for some of my time away. Some other time spent practicing the songs Carver and Moira requested me to- honestly that's where most of my time has gone. I've been so into it Neren had to warn me that if I keep missing my class-zs she'll start giving them to me directly... that had the desired effect though so, if it works! Speaking of Neren, I talked with her about how she had been kinda directing my life and how I felt about it, she agreed to give me my space. She had this... look.. though. Like there was something I didn't know. But is that so much different from any other affini I've ever had to deal with? Moira even told me "-you're too cute for them to stay away long." Which- Moira is in the same group as Carver... and that is to say: older than me. Oh I should talk about her sometime shes so damned nice.. Ugh- they're great to be around but Carver and Moira both noticed that I feel a little funny when they bring up how much older they are. They've been doing that thing that florets do and making more physical contact with me. It makes my head fuzzy....

Me and Cyanus had a long talk last night. I was given a class-D and stars above people were not kidding about its potent effects. I spilled my entire guts out and then some. She knows everything now, and in excruciating detail…

I'm going to be a floret. It's official now, she's decided this. Oh stars, Lilith is gonna explode when she hears about this.

It's strange. I feel… relieved? Like the thing I've been fearing for so long is going to be over with? I'm still terrified of not being respected, of not being able to back out (commitment is scary), of being forced to experience distressing things. And I'm still an ancom who believes the supremacy affini have over every sapient species is wrong.

But at the same time… the thought of Cyanus always taking care of me, of waking up next to Lilith every day, of letting go of fear and shame… that sounds wonderful. Truthfully, I've been scared of the idea of my wardship ending because I don't want this to end. I don't want to be alone again…

Maybe… letting go will be okay if Cyanus is the one who catches me?
