Broken hearty nerdy black boy. Alright so boom… it’s Covid I’m in a long distance situationship that neither one of us could find the emotional time for. I mean the world was ending. Anyway the broken pieces cut me and I used that blood to paint up this masterpiece. I got to flex a little bit of my intermediate mixing skills while also telling a story. If you can’t tell by now all of these ideas come with a story.

Fall always been my favorite season…. Also s/o to Issa Rae, Lakeith Stanfield and the film the Photograph. Huge inspiration.

2 Frame Freddy!!!

This Video was a group project where I had the privilege to not only act but to edit as well. I love creating but my ultimate career goal is to direct. I love putting together stories visually. We didn’t have the most footage and the story wasn’t Shakespeare but we came together to create a beautiful piece of art.

An Oldie but a goodie. Sports content is by far my favorite to produce. My love for sports have been there since before I could remember, it was passed down from my older siblings. This was mock draft I did the research for as well as the graphics. I hit on a few picks, with the 49ers trading up for Trey Lance being my most prized pick. Mainly because I made the prediction before they traded up. I knew what type of coach Kyle Shanahan is and I knew he would fall in love with the Project QB from North Dakota State.

Ultimately I posted this for the art work.

RADIO! RADIO! RADIO!

This was a Voice Tracking Assignment we had to complete for class. The goals were to mix it ourselves, write the script, record and edit. I definitely could’ve worked on my levels during my talk breaks but I was overall pleased with the script and editing.

Videography! Videography! Videography!

I was honored to be able to work with these and hungry Disc Jockeys and Cincy Underground. Being that they’re a few years younger than me it was always refreshing to chop it up with them. Not only did they help me keep my ear to the streets they also helped me gain a new perspective on Hip Hop Culture. S/o to these young Gods. I love to see my peers winning.

RADIO, RADIO RADIO…

This here is a mock commercial I did for class. The goal was to write a script, add audio enhances then record and edit yourself. Looking back on it this script and the performance of it could’ve been a little more dynamic but overall I was pleased with the final project

Blue Monday by Annie Lee was the inspiration behind this shoot. With this being the first shoot that I had the control of the lightening with I wanted be able to tell a story with this one. My model Shakira did a great job at bringing out the ‘exhausted’ mood that Annie Lee painted. Which now that I’m thinking about might have been easier than I thought. She’s a hard working self-reliant young black woman. Not only does she work full time she’s a creative in her own right. I admire her work and can’t wait to see how we both grown in this field.

I felt that Mr.Benjamin because on this day I felt big. I mean colossal. S/o to Weezy. This was 3 shoots in a I finally felt comfortable behind the camera. And that comfort went a long way to making this shoot possible. A lot went wrong this day from having to change locations 3 time, to not having models show up. But I had my camera and a muse so me and Natera made it work. She was so patient with all the sudden changes and we eventually formed a nice friendship after this.

Friends from College is more than just a canceled Netflix show. It was the inspiration behind this shoot. This was my first shoot, and we approached it with a lot of Riesling and just vibes. As you can tell I was still learning how to adjust my lens, some shots are out of focus but I did most of my work in the editing stage of this shoot. I remember the excitement I had once I got to the dinner table and uploaded these pictures to my computer. I turned on Big Sean’s ‘Dark Sky Paradise’ and the direction of my editing took form.

Again thank you to my model Emmanuel Jackson. Here’s a terrific photographer in his own right. I can’t wait to grow in this creative space with you brotha. One.

Avant Gardiste

Avant Gardiste is french for 'trendsetter' or 'unorthodox'. My fake artsy ass was trying to be deep and make a connection to Kobe's european upbringing but forgot he lived in Italy and not France. Either way the shit sounded cool so I stuck with it.

This playlist is for the trendsetters, the weirdos, the pocket chain gang, the Hot Topic hotties, the answers that have yet to be questioned, the worms and the Mambas.

Alright so boom... little backstory I've always feel like I lived my life in the margins. Steady fighting off with I feel is expected of me because of factors i didn't choose, all that one shit right. The ones that get it get it. So growing up I formed a strong connection to these artists and athletes that live outside of the margin because they were the manifestation of what I wanted to be... Black and Free.

The playlist is broken up into 4 Acts.

Act I- The Innocents (The Party-Starting 5)

The songs in this Act speak to the ignorant confidence of adolescence. Knowing your responsibilities and expectations without that pressure consuming you because you have the rest of your life Little Nigga...right?

Act II- The Enlightenment (Zealots of Stockholm-Titanic)

Act III- The Heart (Urn-What Can We Do?)

Act IV- The Man (Sweatpants-Lost In The World)

The songs in this Act speak to direction and decisiveness. The Man that'll put little niggas on their backs if he get called Little Nigga. The Man that knows that he knows nothing but know what he have.
