Homemade calamari
- fresh squid caps
- sliced into rings
-dipped rings in beaten egg
-breaded in gluten free Italian breadcrumbs
- fried in olive oil at 320-325 degrees until golden brown
-let rings dry on paper towel
Homemade marinara
- 1 can peel whole plum tomatoes
- a squeeze of basil paste
- black pepper
-white pepper
-chopped garlic
-salt
-red pepper flakes
- mixed with hand blender (I blended a little too much for my liking on this one)
Whole thing takes maybe 20 mins, the garnish is just for fun :) if you try it let me know how it turns out!
