The memories from years I spent living as a battered transient and as an abused wife were relentless for over fourteen years. The alcohol abuse was relentless with weekly blackouts and hallucinations. The late 1980s thru the mid-1990s were somewhat of a blur. There were years I lived as a homeless woman without memory of being a military veteran or having a past work history.

My first self-published book!  “If you tell a lie long enough, you will eventually believe that lie as your twisted truth. I feel relieved on one hand that the truth of my past abuse was served raw and distasteful, but horrified that the details of each tear, scar, stabbing pain of reality was unleashed and freed to stare me down with suppurate eyes. How does one digest rape for lunch, sexual assault for brunch and domestic abuse for supper?” (Excerpt from “Green Assault”)
