There is one short-term solution I've randomly discovered just by trying something, for those who might be interested (copy/pasting the comment I've posted under this post):

1/ find out which terrain is causing the bug (i.e. the terrain lot takes forever to load and never does OR the terrain lot you just settled got your surrounding lots to appear as they originally do after loading a different lot - these are just 2 examples!)

2/ back up your save file, the "Slot_xxxxxxxx.save" version (example of location: C:\Users*YourComputerName*\OneDrive\Documents\Electronic Arts\Les Sims 4\saves)

3/ turn your save file into a .package file (just rename it adding .package at the end of the file name)

4/ open it with sims4studio

5/ look for the terrain lot (try and recognize the thumbnail)

6/ copy the instance of the lot and paste it in the sims4studio filter bar

7/ delete every single file sorted out that includes the instance of the lot

8/ don't forget to save before closing the sims4studio

9/ turn your save into a .save file again (remove the .package you added before)

99% of the time it resets the surrounding view and the game lets you get back to the now empty lot again. please remember this is my own experience and that's how I saved my legacy I've been playing since.. 2020! did it several times and managed to keep playing it to this day. of course this is such a SHAME it hasn't been fixed yet and that we must find solutions on our own to try and enjoy playing… but this can be a trick to avoid losing SO much of your time and efforts. let me know if one ever try. if you already know this, do you think I missed a step, or doing something wrong or that I should do differently? I'm all ears.

UPDATED for FOR RENT EP + no CC! Added the maintenance stuff in a special room. There is a total of 7 units! I've also changed some swatches and added some very VERY minimum stuff to settle in the empty units, such as toilets, bath, sink and radiators. Get creative for the rest, and don't hesitate to tag me to show me your creation or if you play there!

3 LITTLE APARTMENTS ✈︎ Del Sol Valley

hey guys! it's been a while since i haven't build anything. here is the build of the day that i almost made CC free (i barely believe it).

well, i needed a very small apartment for one of my sims who is going to leave her parents and move in with her boyfriend. they just had a baby.

unfortunately, there is no flat in Del Sol Valley and this is one of my biggest regrets. so i rolled up my sleeves and started building my own apartments beside the highway.

as i want to develop one trick i've been thinking about to get a real estate loan without mods, i built 2 other flats for neighbors imma select later.

this should be 100% functional. if you find anything wrong please let me know.

hey guys, this might be the 2nd or 3rd post about my Melrose Place recreation, I might be spending 2 years on it, but there is something new today: I'm remaking it with the less CC possible (like 3-4). and I'm furnishing it as well! Ofc the For Rent EP inspired me and there is about 10 units available in this build! there is only 2 units 100% finished for now tho. more to come VERY SOON. (ps: sorry for the white line, yes it's taken from build mode and not playtested yet but it will be as soon as this will be over).

CARRIE B Apt (redo) origin id: mcbethstudios dl: SFS

In a desperate attempt to clean my mods folder (iykyk), I have deleted all the cc objects I could have. BUT I forgot I spent so much time furnishing this apartment (original post here) so I set my cc up again just to replace them by maxis objects... After 2 days, I almost succeeded in this, meaning I kept a very-tiny-little-few cc in it. Luckily, they're not terribly heavy and can easily be replaced or deleted. So here is my version of this apartment that sticks still in the mind of some early y2k teens/young adults, Carrie Bradshaw's, which I gave a little more life thanks to a little more colors and mess ♥ Hope you'll enjoy it.

Some technical points that matter: - The SFS file contains all the rooms + a plan to place them. - The apartment is 121 Hakim House. - The 9th room that completes the full apartment is yet optional. - I've changed the windows compared to the original apartment tks to the T.O.O.L. If you're not familiar with this, you can check this tuto by Simlicy. With the dec'2023 update, the windows should appear correctly when the room is placed... lmk?♥
