i absolutely love how fireheart is described as handsome in the allegiances and no one else. i can imagine whenever somebody would call firehearts name, they would be blinded by his face card. like the second he turns around suddenly everything is slow motion, cherry blossoms are falling behind him, there are sparkles around his face, there’s a huge heart behind his head, careless whisper is playing. everyone else is just like wtf??? why is there a pink backdrop all of a sudden?? and firehearts just waiting like :)??

Ok, but

is Jax genuinely developing psychosis or something?

why would he ever have the idea to shoot and eat his circus-mates without something genuinely going wrong in his head at some point?

^^^^ this is not normal behavior from anybody, like its fucking hilarious but genuinely you can't say that there aren't any signs of him losing it in the circus.

He has shown reckless tendencies when it comes to the other characters in the show by pushing them into danger, injuring them himself, simply threatening them, or just clearly not having any care for their safety.

and this specific part of his behavior is all because of the fact that:

this information obviously has been given to us since the very first episode, but Jax is the only person in the show that abuses this fact to directly "harm" the other characters with the mindset of "nothing matters anyways" since nobody is gonna die from anything but abstraction. This stands against any moral that everybody has, you shouldn't hurt people just because they can't die, but Jax has dealt with this for so long that he's abandoned it; I don't even think he gets real pleasure from it, I think it's just him trying to make something happen, to feel something- or feel ANYTHING.

He's let go of a human moral that keeps people stable and sane just because nothing matters, which means he's slipping away his sanity even faster than any of the other characters.

Jax also has a habit of "breaking the fourth wall" and I put that in quotes because I'm not sure he can even see the fourth wall, he might very well just be talking to actually nothing like every other character thinks he is. Although he is based off of cartoons where they break the fourth wall a lot so that might be a thing he just naturally can do- which would only be worse for his mental stability, being able to constantly see people outside of the circus watching him and the people around him. Which could be also why he was SO upset at being put into the maid dress, since you guys ARE FRREAKSSS.

Probably weird idea, but for angst imagine if whenever Meta Knight was alone with Susie, he kinda…disassociates. And he only snaps out of it when someone else enters the room, or she leaves. Like sometimes she’ll try to snap him out of it herself, and either he never responds, or just runs from her.

So since it’s Juneteenth, I feel like it’s the perfect time to bring time to bring up how badly this fandom treats black characters.

Specifically starting with Licorice Cookie, since not only is his blackness often overlooked if not outright denied. And in the occasion that it isn’t, it’s often treated as a joke. (DISCLAIMER: I am not a black person but just a bystander who has witnessed all these issues unfold over the years, and I’m deciding to speak out on behalf of my black friends who have helped me put this thread together)

While many characters in cookie run do have dark brown skin, none of them are as undeniably black-coded as Licorice and Poison Mushroom. For his cultural references to hoodoo/voodoo to the full on Micheal Jackson inspired costume for B.A.D4, and even as blatant as the Licorice hair that’s similar to dreads and twists, he is UNDENIABLY black. And this is where the main issues start to arise from the fandom, because to this day I’m still seeing people either white-wash him in art and remove his BLACK hairstyles.

Despite Licorice Cookie being visibly not brown or dark brown of dough color, he still had more black coding than majority of other characters. Which in turn, makes him black. Now let us actually talk about some of the main issues other than whitewashing that I’ve seen happen with this character.

Starting with how he was IMMEDIATELY replaced as a tumblr seximan upon people realizing that he’s black. To people having a bit too much fun calling him ugly and insulting him to the point where some of the jokes feel less like jokes and just feel like racist. (While I do enjoy bullying him as a joke I know that there’s a limit to those jokes and lines that should never be crossed)

While he is a villain, a lot of people are very eager (if not too eager) to joke about him being brutally hurt, killed or worse under the excuse of being a villain. This is especially eyebrow raising when you consider that other COD don’t get that type of treatment in terms of jokes.

This gets to the point where I have seen MULTIPLE drawings of him being hung. This shouldn’t even exist and the fact that it does shows how little people care.

Another thing I want to add is that the reason people calling him “ugly” in masses is becoming less and less of a joke is because ppl dont view nor conprehend that black people especially black nerds or “losers” can be attractive to others and they dont think they deserve the same amount of attention as the others.

Why am I posting this?

Because I know I have a lot of young people following me, and because over the past few years, I've seen a shocking amount of anti-gay rhetoric in MY comment section. Of my Steven Universe fancomic. An extremely lgbtq-friendly show.

So what gives? My best guess is, I have a very wide following, and a lot of these readers and pretty socially insulated in conservative spaces that don't allow them to explore the concepts of the other side of the argument.

I'm not about to judge children on the environment they were raised in... but I'm also here. I'm a part of the environment. And I'd like to offer some perspectives.

now that the switch 2 is out i just want to remind everyone NOT to pirate games and NOT to mod their consoles. please give the billion dollar company 500 dollars for the console, 80 dollars per game, and 20 dollars for the privilege of playing a game you already own.

absolutely DO NOT mod your 3DS, which is actually very easy to do. do NOT go to this subreddit that keeps an up to date guide on how to mod your 3DS and will provide community support if you need help. if you don't want to risk your own 3DS, absolutely DO NOT go to etsy or ebay where you can find already-modded 3DS's for about $250.00. absolutely DO NOT support these modders and small business owners who restore these consoles and who are trying to make nintendo games as easily acceptable as possible. yes I know it's tempting because this is half the price of the switch 2 (or free if you choose to mod it yourself) and you'll be able to download every single 3DS, DS, GBA, SNES, and NES game ever made as well as DSiware and 3DSware but PLEASE think of nintendo PLEASE support the billion dollar company they just want what's best for you!!!
