      MAX STEPPED OUT FROM BEHIND THE BUSHES, ARMS RAISED. ‘ i come in peace. ’ if ravenclaw had any shot at winning this challenge, they would have to make some sort of ALLIANCE with the others. roxanne had warned him against the idea, but hufflepuff was just as weak without support, and no one liked a snooty GRYFFINDOR or an arrogant SLYTHERIN. not that max thought so              he'd suggested allying with LYSANDRA GAUNT, but that hadn’t gone down well within the team. so, here he was, staring down ERIN BURNE with his arms raised in surrender and a warming smile on his lips. ‘ i’m here to form a PACT with hufflepuff, no funny business. ’ he moves his arm slowly, extending it out towards her.

               ‘ the ball’s in YOUR court, erin. ’ cue a wide grin. ‘ what’s it gonna be? ’
