Ya know how some people in the army get tattoos to represent their achievements in the army and such? I kinda like to think Kallus got a few of those. First one he got was when he graduated from the naval imperial academy with Jovan. It was Jovan's idea and they went with a few other graduates. Even after he and Jovan fell out, Kallus still stuck to the idea and got tattoos for other achievements like joining the ISB and such.

Of course he grows to heavily dislike them once he becomes Fulcrum and even moreso when he defects. Wearing short sleeve shirts is out of the question, especially around other people. When drinking with Zeb one night he mentions it and Zeb asks if he's planning on getting one for defecting, ya know, to continue the tradition. The idea does sit rather nicely for Kallus, so he looks into it and ends up commissioning Sabine for a design. The design ends up becoming rather popular amongst imperial defectors, who end up getting similar tattoos to symbolize their commitment to the Rebellion. I like to think this inspires Sabine to pick up tattooing and she becomes the Rebellion's tattoo artist

Reasons to buy (and love) the star wars rebels comic collection:

1. zeb's endearing fear of bugs

2. kanan and ezra's matching winter jackets

3. Them (no further notes) (Were they even trying to beat the couple allegations? Is this not egregious? they were not subtle. I miss them so much.)

4. ezra's clumsy totally-not-boyfriend that he meets on sato's ship

5. There is seriously so much stuff in here that adds to the show in ways you wouldn't even expect. every character is given so much love throughout this collection that it blows my mind every single time. there's an entire comic about the droid that chopper kicks out of the ghost in s1e14 and no I am not kidding. Sabine and ahsoka get to do a kickass mission together. There is so much in here for legit any fan of the series!!
