Not really an update?

Hi! So yes, I am horrible person. This blog honestly hasn’t been active in a really, really long time. But uh, I woke up today, and apparently there’s 20 of you guys now? I’m honestly really sorry.

It’s only one night

Sorry it took so long for me to upload again! I have no time management skills lol.

The comments on the livestream are brutal. You can’t help but freeze as you read every single one of them. Things like, “they don’t deserve Wei Wuxian” and “In a few months they’ll have divorced”. You’ve always considered your marriage to Wei Wuxian a rather touchy subject, seeing as it was an arranged marriage. Both your parents and Jiang Fengmian had been good friends, so they decided when you both were of age, you’d get married. But when you both became famous in the entertainment industry, the wedding was postponed until a few months ago. 

The comments kept coming in, and you didn’t know how to respond to them. Then the sound of someone opening the door to your room distracted you from reading the comments. Wei Wuxian walked in holding a bottle of Emperor's Smile. 

“Love! Will you drink with me?” 

You turn to face him. “I’m doing a livestream,” you say.

He immediately sets down the wine and pulls up a chair to join you. He starts reading the comments as well. 

“Tsk….people are still spreading these rumors?” He says, shaking his head. “My love and I get along very well,” He kisses you on the cheek, and you can’t help but smile. 

He’s had your heart since you were teenagers. But you know Lan Wangji most likely has his. The few times you’ve met Lan Wangji, you’ve noticed he doesn’t like you very much. If not for the arranged marriage, perhaps they’d be married.

“Drink with me?” he pleads, giving you puppy dog eyes. You sigh. You’ve never particularly enjoyed drinking, but it’s been a while since the two of you spent time together, so you agree. “Fine.”

Turning to the computer, you wave to whoever’s watching the livestream -whether it be fans or haters- and say, “Bye everyone, have a good night!” before ending the livestream. 

Getting up, you notice Wei Wuxian is already sitting at the small table in your room, pouring out two glasses of wine, so you sit down with him. 

As much as it pains you to say it aloud, you have to tell him. “You know,” you start. “I don’t mind if you date someone else,” He stops pouring and looks up. “No,” he says, to your surprise. “It’s a marriage, and I’m not about to be unfaithful.”

“But it’s an arranged marriage,”

“It’s still a marriage, y/n,” he says, looking you in the eyes. “Besides, you shouldn’t let their comments get to you.” He pushes a glass of wine towards you. “Drink,”

You take a small sip, but you keep pressing on. “I’m serious, it’s fine. I know you like Lan Wangji,”

He freezes in the middle of a sip and sets his cup down. “Lan Zhan and I…..we had a fight,” he says quietly.

“What was the fight about?”

“...I don’t wanna talk about it.” He downs the wine in his glass and pours another one.

He doesn’t tell you, but you know they fought over you. “Is that why we’re drinking tonight?” you ask quietly. He shrugs, and you take that as a sign that you should stop asking.

For a while, the two of you drink in silence, until you notice how much of the bottle you’re going through. “Wei Wuxian,” you say gently. “Wei Wuxian, you shouldn’t have anymore, this stuff is really strong, and you have work tomorrow.” You take the cup from him. He lets out a “Mn,” but stays sitting at the table with his head on his hand. Your heart aches for him. He’s always put on a mask, but when he’s had something to drink he starts to take the mask off, and you can tell that the fight’s hurting him a lot more than he’s admitting. You sit there with your hand on his hand, unsure of what else to do when he suddenly says, “Can I stay in your room tonight?”

You’re slightly surprised because in the four months you’ve been married, he’s never asked. But you know you couldn’t turn him down. “Okay,” You say. Besides, it’s only one night. But if only it wasn’t.

Hello anonymous who requested! I’m sorry it took so long to get this up! I was procrastinating with school work and at the last minute I had to do all of it I was busy. But here it is! Hope you like it!

Letting out a groan, Lan Xichen slowly awakened. Blinking away the sleep that clouded his eyes, he took a good look around at his surroundings. He didn’t know where he was, or how he even got there! The last thing he remembered was arguing with his sworn brother, Nie Mingjue. He didn’t even remember anything else! 

Perhaps it wasn’t a good idea, arguing with his sworn brother, as Nie Mingjue had seemed to be quite angry at the time. 

Suddenly, the glow of a candle appeared in front of him, interrupting his thoughts.

“Hello, Xichen,” a voice rasped. Lan Xichen gasped. 

“Da-ge?”

“Yes, Xichen?”

“Da-ge, why am I tied up? Don’t you think this is overreacting?”

“Why should I release you Xichen? You know how I get at times….yet you still chose to argue. This is your punishment...dear.”

Xichen gaped in shock. Did Da-ge just call him...dear? As in the term of endearment used for your significant other? Did his Da-ge really feel that way towards him?

“Could you loosen the strings a bit then?” He asked. “The strings are starting to dig into my skin,” 

Nie Mingjue let out a humorless laugh. “Xichen, I am not dumb. I know you will escape given the opportunity,” The candle was suddenly in his face and Nie Mingjue leaned in closer, allowing Lan Xichen to notice his eyes were still red. “Won’t you?”

Xichen repressed a sigh of frustration. Nie Mingjue had never lost his temper at him before, and this situation had escalated far beyond his control. Plus, his Da-ge -considering what he had said earlier- most likely harbored romantic feelings towards him. He was most likely not going to let him go. 

Xichen shifted in pretend discomfort, and let out a fake hiss of pain. Perhaps faking would convince his Da-ge he was really in pain? 

Unfortunately, Nie Mingjue ignored him. Giving up, Lan Xichen sat there, contemplating the situation. 

Nie Mingjue liked him in a more-than-friends way, and Xichen didn’t return those feelings. It wasn’t like he could tell his Da-ge that anyway. It would only make the situation worse. 

Maybe he could say that he returned his Da-ge’s feelings and possibly be let go? No, he couldn’t betray Jiang Wanyin like that. 

Jiang Wanyin probably doesn’t even like you that way, the voice in his head whispered. You should give up, and tell your Da-ge you like him too, it would probably get you out of here! But Lan Xichen couldn’t give up, not when there was a sliver of a chance that Jiang Wanyin could like him too. They had gotten rather close over the past months.

So instead, Lan Xichen ran his finger over the ring Jiang Wanyin had gifted him. 

“Here,” Jiang Wanyin had said. “Take this ring. When you’re in trouble, run your finger over it, and I’ll be able to find you, and vice versa.”

Lan Xichen had done all he could, so he decided to wait. Jiang Wanyin would come find him. Xichen knew he would.

Lan Xichen hadn’t realised he fell asleep until he heard shouting. 

“Nie Mingjue, let him go this instant!”

“What makes you think I will?”

Xichen heard Zidian crackle to life, but before Jiang Wanyin could do anything, Nie Mingjue threw him into the wall.

“Wanyin!” Xichen cried before he could stop himself.

Nie Mingjue looked at him, furious. 

“Don’t pity him,” he snarled. “Don’t even look at him. What good is he when you have me?”

Unable to control his anger, Lan Xichen turned to shout at Nie Mingjue.

“Nie Mingjue! This is too much! You are overreacting!”

“I’m overreacting? You think I don’t know about the rings? All I did was put you in here to keep you nice and safe. Why must you escape?”

“NIE MINGJUE! When you love someone you don’t lock them up!”

“Tell that to Qingheng-Jun,” He snarled, stepping closer to Lan Xichen. “But I can’t trust you not to escape anymore.” He pulled out a silver needle, glinting in the candle light. One of Wen Qing’s needles, Lan Xichen realised with horror, struggling to escape. 

“You’re mine forever, my love,” Nie Mingjue whispered in his ear, and the world went black.

Rules and Guide for requests

Since I’ll do requests, I suppose I owe it to whoever comes across my account to tell you what I’m okay with! 

What I will write:

and honestly, I will write whatever’s not in my “I won’t write” list

However I must warn you, if you request a F/F or M/M, there will be a chance you won’t be satisfied, because I myself am straight, but that doesn’t mean I won’t write them, I’m just warning you that they might not be as good as you expect

What I won’t write:

Honestly, I guess I’m pretty open-minded, and okay with most

but that doesn’t mean I don’t have things I won’t write!

That being said, I won’t write:

Smut/NSFW, because I’m just uncomfortable with it

Combat (because I’m just not very good, and I don’t think I’ll be able to write any sort of combat that people will be satisfied with. Just small fights are okay, but major combat is a big no no for my writing style)

Graphic Gore (a little bleeding here and there never hurt anyone, but I just can’t write graphic gore. I will start to feel nauseous)

Cheating (I just can’t stand infidelity)

Scenarios with real life people (Just makes me uncomfortable)
