Also while I’m here, I wanna give a shoutout to probably the most nearly-canon Akane roleplayer ever: Mako aka akaneallupinyogrill.

Like, you have no idea how much effort she put into roleplaying her muse. She gave Akane so much depth especially her own backstory, she understands her character so well. Her Akane is laidback, gets along with everyone and is chill as all fuck, doesn’t even have a temper unless she’s provoked. Plus she got another muse which is kinda a genderbend Akane but serves as her lil brother named Akatsu, who’s also the sweetest bae ever and a huge suave romantic.

Call me biased, but I have never seen someone so dedicated to a muse like Mako with Akane, and it shows how passionate she is with Akane. Her characterizations are spot on all the time, and I’m not afraid to say that she’s about the only really dedicated Akane roleplayer I know here in this community, to the point that I feel like Mako is literally Akane (there’s a few times when I almost called her Akane). Hell, even her Akane cosplay looks amazing all the time too!

So yeah, shout out to the best Akane roleplayer that I have the opportunity to get to know of and care. I loved our interactions here with your Akatsu, and I love our interactions over at my Ryuko blog too. You’re awesome, and keep on being the real Akane. <3

~❁~ Upon hearing the door open, did the little one get ready to call her mother, informing her someone was hear, but that all stopped when the voice from the door spoke. She recognized that voice all to well. Why inform her mother of this when she could greet him herself.

So off she went, rushing to the door, greeting the man at the door with open arms, running to him, almost knocking him over when she hugged him around his waist. “Papa~! Welcome home~!”

She was well aware at who the voice belonged to and as much as she was glad to hear him again, she was actually quite annoyed at the male. With a small huff and sigh did she walk over to the front door where the small child was already hugging onto him as any child would with their parent. Just standing there did she look over at the other, with a look of annoyance as if she were ready to yell at him.

“Be lucky she got t’ ya first, Kazuichi. Now get inside ‘n close the door. Dinner’s almost ready.” her tone was calm but a dead give away she was still irritated at him, and he was well aware as to why this was. 

Once the door was closed and the male walked up to her, she continued to glare at him before sighing and softly smacking the back of his head “…really need t’ glue that crap t’ yer chest if ya keep fergettin’ t’ call.”

~☆~ "Heh... Eheh. Yeah. Maybe I should jus’ keep it in my toolbox. I always bring it and forget the damn phone...” He knew his wife wouldn’t react well to him not calling or texting at all. There wasn’t much of an excuse, either. He just was a dumb, forgetful fuck sometimes.

Then again, his wife knew that better than anyone. She’s known him like the back of of her hand since they first met. That doesn’t mean his inaction was excused. Besides, there was consequences to this being gone so long: The little one they had. Little Souwari was growing more and more by the day, and if Souda had a choice, he wouldn’t miss the sight of her growing up for the world. Alas, he had to keep bread on their table somehow. He knew from Akane’s past that if they struggled to make ends meet, they could still be strong, but as long as they had a choice, that wasn’t going to be necessary. Not one damn bit.

“Um... I have toys for lil’ Souwari. Also, a buddy from my travels.” He then gestured to the bird. “His name’s Charlie. He can really only say ‘hello’ and fly to my shoulder on command. That’s not bad for th’time I’ve had ‘im, though. Oh, and--”

As if on cue, the little guy squawked out the one thing Souda failed to mention.

“Hiya, sugarbutt!”

“...Um, he was also trained to say that. But it was an accident-- I think I got drunk and trained him to recognize yer face an’ say that-- I’m so sorry--”

~☆~ How long had it been since he had seen his family? Too long, far too long for his tastes. For all this time he had been working abroad, one item had always eluded him. His phone. To his recollection, it had been on the charger this whole time. Damn. Fortunately, he had thought about his absence beforehand, getting gifts for his little girl to celebrate his return: toys he had made for her himself. Also...

A little yellow Indian Ringneck he had named Charlie. The little guy didn’t quite like his cage so much, and in the time he was gone, Kazuichi had trained him not to fly off if he sat on his shoulder.

This should go well, then. Taking his keys in his free hand, he unlocked the door and knocked on it as he opened it.
