I really like this concept and I miss doing art trades with people online! I can certainly set aside time this month to polish up my OC refs, and take time out of my day to draw for people next month.

Caved in and bought Clip Studio Paint Pro on a monthly subscription. The good news is I get the first three months free, so I assume I can cancel before then if I don’t like it.

I have an older version of CSP Pro I bought from a one-time purchase several years ago but the program has had a ton of updates since then. Im curious to see how these newer features will affect my workflow.

My DIY case-bound junk journal is finally finished! I made it out of scrap paper, a cereal box, and old jeans. This took so long to make but it was well worth the effort.

I can’t wait to fill it with, well, junk!

Long overdue update on my junk journal!

I sewed together the signatures into a big text block, cut up a cereal box and glued scrapbook paper to it, then attached the covers and spine together with a piece of denim.

All I need to do now is attach the text block to the cover, and my journal should be ready to use!

Now that I’ve learned to embrace my more cringy side, I want to revive an old silly pastime I used to do on this site, and create side blogs dedicated to my ocs! This was something I really enjoyed doing but was always kind of ashamed of because of how juvenile it seemed. But in truth, I really like creating things for my ocs. Spotify playlists, Pinterest boards, Tumblr blogs, you name it. If it can be customized to fit someones personality and tastes, then I’m using it for my ocs.

I deleted all my old oc blogs not that long ago, not out of shame but because I just got overwhelmed with how many side blogs I owned. But I want to recreate them with my current oc lineup and with more creative urls too. So once I’ve done that, and once I’ve reblogged a few things on each oc blog, I’ll share them here : )

Art advice needed!

My current method of taking art commissions is starting to feel a bit too chaotic. I publish my portfolio and prices on a Carrd, take payment via PayPal invoices, set up a waitlist on Google Sheets, and communicate with buyers through discord or email. I kind of hate having to juggle several different platforms at once, so I’m looking for a method of taking commissions that��s more centralized.

Is Ko-fi a decent platform for this? I’ve done “commissions” on there before through donations, but I know they also have an actual commissions system, which I haven’t tried yet. Can anyone share their experiences taking commissions on Ko-fi? What should I expect or look out for?

I’ve also heard Vgen is the hot new place for artists to take commissions, with lots of safeguards and protections for both the artists and commissioners. I fear it’s a bit too professional for me though, and I don’t have a code to create an artist profile. I’m looking for something that’s more casual/beginner friendly.
