Hey guys….Sorry I haven’t updated in a while.
I started a full time job recently, in my field of criminal justice, so it’s been hectic but fulfilling!
I go back to grad school in August, and my goal was to work on the found father series with Sidney.
I recently had to break up with my boyfriend, long story short he was a drunken idiot and said things to me that hurt.
I’m a bit hurt right now and am trying to process, but I will continue this series. Just wanted to update everyone :)

oh my goodness the love I’m getting for the most recent Sid chapter is amazing thank you so much!! I love writing my delusions into a fanfic, praying it comes true😊😊😊
As to the older men situation at work…another man (who is nice and like a father) told them to stop making me uncomfortable and that if they bothered me again to go to him
Who knew good men exist 🤣🤣🤣🤣
anyways…does anyone want to talk more about Sidney FaceTiming his nonbiological kid after winning four nations because he wants to share the happiness with her??

Safe and Sound - Sidney Crosby x Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y/n gripped the steering wheel tightly as she drove back to her apartment, her vision blurred with tears. The pit in her stomach hadn’t gone away since lunch.
A group of guys in her grad school classes—had been staring at her again. Their lingering eyes, the smirks, the way they whispered to each other as she passed by. It made her skin crawl.
She hated how it made her feel. Small. Exposed. Dirty.
Her phone rang through her car’s Bluetooth, and she nearly jumped. Sidney.
She sniffled and wiped at her cheeks before answering. “Hey, Sid.”
The second he heard her voice, he knew. His voice softened instantly. “Y/n, what’s wrong?”
She let out a shaky breath. “Nothing, I’m fine.”
Sidney didn’t believe that for a second. “Y/n,” he murmured, his voice full of concern. “Talk to me, sweetheart.”
She bit her lip, her fingers tightening on the wheel. “It was just—in class, some guys… they were looking at me. Like—like I was—” She couldn’t even finish the sentence.
Sidney went silent for a moment. When he spoke again, his voice was low, controlled—but furious. “They made you uncomfortable.”
She nodded, even though he couldn’t see her. “Yeah.”
Sidney inhaled deeply, trying to keep his anger in check. The last thing she needed right now was for him to lose it. “Okay, baby girl,” he said gently. “Listen to me. After practice, I’m coming to get you. You’re staying with me tonight.”
Y/n’s breath hitched. “Sid, you don’t have to—”
“I want to.”
She felt the guilt creeping in, her anxiety spiking. “I’m being too much, I always need something, I—”
“Stop.” His voice was firm but still gentle. “You are not too much. You are never too much for me.”
Her lip trembled. “But—”
“No buts, baby girl,” he cut her off. “Here’s what you’re gonna do, okay? You’re gonna go inside, take a nice hot shower, and pack a bag. I’ll be there soon.”
She swallowed, her tears still slipping down her face. “Okay.”
“That’s my good girl,” Sidney murmured. “I’ll see you soon, sweetheart.”
They hung up, and as soon as Sidney put his phone down, his entire demeanor shifted. His jaw clenched, his fingers curling into fists. Without thinking, he grabbed his phone again and slammed it into his locker with a loud bang.
The room went silent.
Kris Letang, who had been nearby, raised an eyebrow. “Jesus, Sid. What the hell was that?”
Sidney ran a hand through his hair, breathing heavily. “Y/n,” he muttered, his voice tense.
Kris’s expression darkened. “What happened?”
Sidney clenched his jaw, his hands still balled into fists. “Some guys in her classes were looking at her. Making her uncomfortable.”
Kris exhaled sharply, “you going to be with her now?”
Sidney started to grab his keys and jacket, “yeah why? Should I not?”
Kris sighed and pointed to the door, and Sidney remembered he agreed to do a media interview.
He sighed, dropping his hands to his side and closing his eyes.
“I’m canceling. I’m going to see her.”
Kris whistled lowly while crossing his arms and leaning back in his locker stall.
“You’re one brave man doing this.” He added.
Sidney shot him a look before opening the door and walking past the reporters, all throwing questions out at him.
He made it out to the hallway, the voices echoing the more he walked further down the hall.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Y/n let the hot water run over her as she stood in the shower, her arms wrapped around herself. The apartment was silent, but her mind was anything but.
She kept replaying the way they had looked at her, the way their eyes lingered, the low murmurs she couldn’t quite hear but knew weren’t anything good.
Her stomach twisted, and she squeezed her eyes shut, trying to shake the feeling.
After she finished, she dried off, slipping into a pair of sweats and an oversized hoodie before grabbing her overnight bag.
She moved on autopilot, folding clothes neatly, tucking in her essentials. The quiet made everything feel heavier, but before she could get lost in her head again—
Knock, knock.
She froze. Then—
“Baby girl, it’s me.”
The tension in her chest eased just a little. She rushed to the door, unlocking it quickly. The moment she pulled it open, Sidney was there. And without hesitation, he pulled her into his arms.
Y/n exhaled sharply against his chest, her fingers curling into his jacket as he held her tightly. Sidney could feel the way she trembled, and it made his stomach ache.
“I’ve got you, sweetheart,” he murmured, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. “I’m right here.”
She nodded against him, eyes shut tightly. He didn’t let go—not until she loosened her grip first. When she finally stepped back, he glanced down at the bag by her feet.
She bent down to grab it, but Sidney beat her to it, effortlessly slinging it over his shoulder.
“Sid, I can carry it—”
“I know,” he said, giving her a soft look. “But I’ve got it.”
She sighed, but there was no point in arguing.
The drive to his mansion was quiet. Y/n stared out the window, her fingers fidgeting in her lap. Sidney kept sneaking glances at her, his grip on the steering wheel tightening. He hated seeing her like this—anxious, quiet, scared.
When they finally arrived, he helped her inside, placing her bag in the foyer before leading her toward the kitchen. Without a word, she hopped onto the counter, curling her legs up as she watched him move.
Sidney filled the kettle, moving with the same quiet care he always did when she wasn’t feeling her best. It wasn’t long before he placed a warm mug of tea next to her.
But instead of stepping away, he moved between her legs, his hands resting on her thighs.
Y/n sniffled, looking down at her tea. “Thank you, Sid.”
Sidney tipped her chin up gently, his eyes searching hers. “You don’t have to thank me, baby girl.”
She swallowed, her fingers curling around the mug. “I hate feeling like this.”
His brows furrowed. “Like what?”
She hesitated before whispering, “Like I can still feel them staring.”
Sidney’s jaw clenched, his hands squeezing her thighs protectively. “You’re safe now, sweetheart.”
She nodded, but he could tell the unease hadn’t fully left her.
So he leaned in, pressing a lingering kiss to her forehead. “I know you’re uncomfortable and scared, but I’m here now”
Y/n closed her eyes, letting herself sink into his warmth.
“I’m not used to this. To having someone like you help me when I’m scared or upset. I’ve always done it on my own” she confessed.
Sidney closed his eyes, bringing her head to his shoulder as he cradled the back of her head.
“I know baby girl,” he whispered. “But let me take care of them, ok? What are their names?”
Y/n’s head shot up, staring at him with wide eyes.
She chuckled and shakes her head, “no nope no. I’m not giving you their names. I can handle it myself.”
Sidney chuckled, letting go of her thighs and crossing his arms over his chest.
“Oh you can?” He asked, his eyebrows raising.
Y/n sat up straighter, matching his posture with her arms.
“Yeah I can. I can even take them on physically”
Sidney threw his head back laughing, uncrossing his arms and wrapping them around her.
“You’re lucky you’re cute” he murmured against her temple as he pressed a kiss to it.
And for the first time all day, she finally felt like she could breathe.
Hey, just wanted to send you a msg that you are so much better than those ogling creeps at work and just remember that how they act doesn't define you. Father figure Sid would want you to stay safe, stay strong and focus on everything you have going for you. Keep to yourself as much as you need to but when you have to interact with those ppl, show them what grace and kindness is! You're already somewhere else better off 💙
you’re so so sweet thank you 💜💜
they’re way older too so 😍😍 (I’m 22 and they’re older than 40)
But I appreciate this a lot !! People are trying to tell me “they aren’t making fun they think you’re cute” like even if that’s the case just say something to me instead of having your group of friends sit and stare….
Whatever you do, do NOT imagine father figure Sidney Crosby FaceTiming you after his media scrum for four nations face off and you’re half asleep but answer anyways and you end up falling asleep halfway through the call. And Sidney is mid-conversation when he realizes and he stops talking and smiles so softly and screenshots this moment. He doesn’t hang up, because he misses you so much so he Carries on with his nighttime routine in his hotel room while you’re sound asleep.
Before he finally falls asleep, he whispers “goodnight baby girl” before hanging up and texting you the screenshot he took. He’s counting down the days until he sees you again in Pittsburgh.
Safe and Sound - Sidney Crosby x Reader
merry Christmas !! 🎁
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y/n was at her apartment, late at night doing some last minute studying. She has an exam in psychopathology, and for some reason it was a hard subject to study.
She tapped her pencil against her textbook, trying to focus on the words as she reads but she was unable to.
Y/n sighed, closing her textbook and leaning back against the pillows, closing her eyes as she rubbed her temples.
It was silent except for the rain hitting against the windows in her bedroom.
She turned her head slightly and looked outside, seeing the raindrops land on the window.
Her phone buzzed beside her and she groaned, interrupting her silence.
She sat up and checked it: a missed message from Sidney.
“Forwarded you information for the stylist! Let me know when you get it”
She sighed and dropped her phone, covering her face with her hands.
This is still so surreal.
A stylist? From THE Sidney Crosby?
She took a deep breath and sat up, swinging her legs around to the side of the bed.
She gripped the edge of her bed, closing her eyes as she felt the palms of her hands begin to sweat.
Oh fuck, not now she thought.
She breathed in through her nose and out her mouth.
Her phone buzzed again.
She turned her head to look at it from her Home Screen.
“Want to FaceTime later? Just got home from a team dinner”
Y/n groaned, standing up slowly.
Her phone started to ring this time, Sidney was already calling.
“Jesus Christ” y/n mumbled under her breath, rubbing a hand over her face.
She sat back down on the bed and answered.
“Hi baby girl” Sidney said softly. He was in his kitchen, making a post practice meal for tomorrow’s practice.
His phone was propped up against his salt and pepper shakers, she picked up on.
Y/n shrugged and sighed.
Sidney stopped what he was doing and leaned into the camera frame.
“What’s wrong sweetheart?” He asked.
Y/n looked up, but broke out in giggles as she saw how close Sidney was to the camera.
“Could you be any closer?” Y/n said through giggles.
Sidney chuckled and backed away a little, leaning on the counter by his forearms.
“Tell me what’s wrong, baby. Talk to me”
Y/n hated when he did that, because it always made her break down the walls she spent so long to build up.
“I just…have an exam tomorrow in a class that’s difficult. And then the night of assists is coming up and it’s just…” she trailed off and looked down at her lap, cracking her knuckles.
“It’s a lot on your mind, isn’t it sweetheart?”
Y/n nodded, feeling her eyes water.
She quickly wiped her eyes with her sleeves and sniffled. She could see Sidney tilt his head from the corner of her eye, something he does when he feels bad.
“Baby girl, look at me.” He whispered.
Y/n looked at the screen, her vision becoming blurry as the tears started to fall down her cheeks.
“It’s ok to be overwhelmed. I know it’s a lot for you and I’m trying my best to not throw all the things you deserve at you at once.”
She smiled and wiped her cheeks.
“Look at me darling”
Her vision was clearer as she looked, Sidney smiling and this time on his couch.
“Don’t worry about the stylist. We’ll take care of that when it gets closer so you can focus on your exam.”
Y/n nodded and hiccuped, thankful Sidney was talking gently to her.
He shifted on the couch, putting a pillow on his lap.
“And your exam? You’ll do great on it. That’s a class you have an A in, right?”
She nodded and smiled, loving how he remembered.
“So if you WERE to somehow not do so well, it wouldn’t tank your grade too much.” He said.
Y/n hadn’t thought about that before. She was too focused on wanting to be perfect, NEEDING to be perfect.
“And I know you want to be perfect in everything you do for school. Because you think if you’re not, it’ll prove that monster right. But it’s not true, baby. No matter what happens on this exam, you’ll still be an amazing student.”
Y/n had began to cry again, this time from being emotional and relieved, relieved that someone understood her and didn’t get upset with her.
“But I’m so used to-“
“I know what you’re used to baby. And it breaks my heart that you’re used to always having to be perfect for your father. But I’m not him. I love you no matter what sweetheart.”
Y/n hiccuped again and smiled. She felt a little bit better, the dread no longer being present in her chest.
“Thank you” she mumbled.
Sidney smiled and leaned back against the couch.
“Now, go take a shower and watch something on Netflix to relax, ok? Text me when you’re out of the shower and in bed.”
Y/n nodded.
“If you need to, you can also take your anxiety medicine. I know you don’t like relying on it, but it can help sometimes”
She shrugged and got off her bed, grabbing her pjs.
“Ok I’ll take some. Have a good night Sid” she mumbled, walking into her bathroom.
Sid hung up, and y/n set her things down on her sink.
She turned the shower on and tuned up a playlist.
She was ok.
maybe it’s bc I’m sick right now
But don’t imagine father figure Sidney Crosby coming home after a tough loss and finding reader on the couch, curled up under blankets with tissues everywhere because she’s sick and didn’t want to bother Sidney.
Sidney’s heart breaks as he kneels beside her on the couch, brushing away a strand of hair and feeling her forehead with the back of his hand and she’s burning up. So he takes his suit jacket off and slides one arm under her knees and the other around her shoulders as he Carries her to her bedroom. She stirs a little, making Sid freeze as reader snuggles deeper into his chest and mumbling something incoherent but it’s about how she knows he played his best.
Sid’s eyes water and kisses her forehead, frowning at how hot her head feels and instead of carrying her to her bedroom, he takes her to his bedroom and plays her down as he changes out of his suit and into more comfortable clothes. He then grabs her medicine and an ice pack and sets up the humidifier for her. Once she’s settled he helps her sit up and gives her the medicine to take.
Reader drops the pill accidentally and whimpers out because of how tired and delusional she is, and Sidney tries his best not to laugh at her. He picks up the pill and helps her drink the water as she relaxes back into his arms, and mumbles a “goodnight dad” and it makes Sid stop, because that was the first time she ever called him dad since he became the father she never had.
Safe and Sound - Sidney Crosby x Reader
(I had to write my feelings out through this so enjoy the hurt/comfort)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They had lost. Badly.
7-1 to be exact.
And the one time y/n goes to a game, that happens.
Y/n waited near the locker room, since Sidney had driven her.
Her mind right now?
Panic. Pure dread and panic.
She hated being around angry people, especially men.
She hadn’t known Sidney too long, but she knows he’s not the best with losing.
Y/n looked up from picking at her nails and When he finally appeared, Sidney was expressionless, his jaw set and his gaze fixed on some distant point, ignoring everyone around him. She stayed rooted to the spot, hugging her arms close to her body, not daring to call out to him.
When he caught sight of her, he gave her the slightest nod, the only acknowledgment that he’d noticed she was there.
They walked to his car in silence, a thick tension filling the air between them. Y/n
kept her gaze fixed on the sidewalk, her fingers restlessly drifting to her lips as she chewed her nails, then dropped to her knuckles, which she cracked nervously one by one. She was careful not to glance in Sidney’s direction, knowing all too well how volatile he could be after a night like this.
“Thanks for coming. I’m sorry it…I’m sorry” he mumbled out.
He opened her car door and shut it after she got in.
She folded herself into the corner, trying to stay small as possible.
Sidney gripped the steering wheel tightly as they pulled away, the streetlights casting shadows across his face, hardening his expression further. The entire drive to y/n’s apartment was suffocatingly silent.
Her heart was racing so fast, her palms sweaty.
Stay calm, he’s not like the others
Sidney pulled into her apartment’s parking lot, putting the car in park and turning off the engine.
He turned to look at y/n, but she was still facing the window.
“Y/n?”
She closed her eyes, getting ready for his reaction. The one she always knew from men like him.
“What’s wrong, baby girl?” He asked softly, barely above a whisper.
That’s what broke y/n. The nickname, the softness in his voice, no trace of anger of frustration.
She turned her face away, trying to hide the sudden sting of tears that welled up in her eyes. But the tears slipped out anyway, and a quiet sob escaped her.
Y/n took a shaky breath, embarrassed but unable to hold it back any longer. “I didn’t want to make you even more upset,” she whispered, struggling to meet his gaze. “I just thought… if I stayed quiet, maybe you wouldn’t—maybe you wouldn’t take it out on me.” She hesitated, the words thick in her throat. “Like… like I grew up with”
Sidney’s brow creased, and he squeezed her hand a little tighter, his gaze never wavering.
“Sweetheart,”he said softly, shaking his head. “I’m so glad you told me this.” He looked at her, his eyes full of understanding and something else—something tender. “I would never, ever do that to you. That game… it’s just a silly game, and it means nothing next to you. You don’t ever have to be afraid of me.”
Y/n bit her lip, overwhelmed by the gentleness in his voice. The weight of her fear began to lift, replaced by a warmth she hadn’t expected. Sidney released her hand, but only to reach up and gently brush away the tears on her cheek.
“I don’t want you to ever feel like you aren’t safe around me. Not once, did I think about taking any anger or frustration out on you. You mean so much to me and I’d never, ever do that to you.” He said.
He kept his hand on her cheek, tracing small circles on her skin.
Y/n closed her eyes, tears falling down and onto his fingers.
Her heart softened as she looked at him, the remnants of her tears still fresh but her fear fading. Sidney stayed holding her face, waiting for her to catch her breath, his presence steady and reassuring.
“Thank you,” she whispered, her voice barely audible. “I just… it’s hard sometimes, you know? I’m still learning how to… how to feel safe.”
Sidney nodded, still holding her gaze
“I know. And I’ll be here for you, as long as it takes. I want you to tell me when you feel this way, okay?”
Y/n nodded, reaching to unbuckle her seatbelt.
Sidney took his hand off her cheek and grabbed her hand, rubbing her knuckles with this thumb.
“I’ll let you get inside and get ready for bed. Text me before you fall asleep so I know you’re ok?”
Y/n nodded as she shut the passenger door and headed up her steps to her door.
She turned back around and Sidney was still there in his car, waiting until she safely got inside.
Y/n let herself in, shutting her door behind her and immediately locking it.
She placed her back against the door and slid down it, bringing her knees to her chest.
She started to cry again, but not from being scared or waiting for that moment of pure terror.
But from relief. And shock.
Sidney had an opportunity to let his anger out on her, take it all out like she was used to. And she really thought he would.
But Sidney would never.
Y/n closed her eyes as she kept replaying his gentle touching to her face, his thumb rubbing her cheek and being so gentle with her.
You’re ok. You’re safe. And he’s safe for you. Let him in, y/n.
Safe and Sound - Sidney Crosby x Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y/n stepped out the lecture hall feeling a lot lighter than the previous night. She had finally completed her exam, and now she could focus on other projects for school. She walked to her car, the breeze heavy for an autumn day in Pittsburgh, with no sun and clouds. She turned her phone back on and got all the messages; some from her friends, some from a group chat, but there was on from Sidney.
“Good luck on your exam! Text me afterwards, I want to know how it went :)”
Y/n smiled as she stared at his text, not knowing how to reply.
She had never been asked these kinds of questions before, maybe from some past classmates after a cruel exam, but never from someone like Sidney.
She sat in her car, setting her backpack down on her passenger seat and shutting her car door.
Her fingers hovered over the letters, trying to think of what to say back.
“It’s over. I thought I did pretty well, thanks for asking”
She hit send and started her car, cranking the heat up.
Her phone buzzed.
“I’m glad it’s over! You studied so hard I bet you are going to get a good grade. We can talk on the phone later? I have some exciting news as well :)”
Y/n froze. Exciting news? From Sidney Crosby?
She started to panic. She put her phone away and pulled out of her parking spot.
Her mind was racing, a million different thoughts running through her brain. Ever since she met Sidney and he has taken her under his wing, his version of exciting news is different than hers.
To her, exciting news was getting a bonus on her paycheck or realizing she had enough money for gas in her bank account when she thought she did not.
To Sidney, exciting news was getting his 500th goal or getting to 1000 points, or getting a new suite made for his pregame walk into the arena.
Her thoughts consumed her entire drive back to her apartment. She pulled into her parking lot, grabbing her bag and shutting her car door shut.
Y/n unlocked her door, walking into the warmth and vanilla scented sanctuary.
She placed her bag down on the ground and within seconds, her phone was ringing.
It was him.
She took a deep breath and answered.
“How’s my girl doing?” Sidney said warmly.
Y/n’s heart fluttered at the nickname; his girl.
“Hi Sidney” she mumbled, playing with her sleeves.
“You finished the exam? How did it go?”
Y/n smiled as she moved into her kitchen.
“It was long and not as hard. I’m glad I studied and…”
She trailed off, searching for the right words.
“…I’m glad you had me take the break last night, I really appreciate it.” She murmured.
“I’m glad the break worked. You deserved it” Sidney said.
There was silence on the phone and y/n broke it.
“So you had some good news?”
Sidney cleared his throat, “yes! I do. Remember how I mentioned the night of assists last night? Well the schedule is set and it’s the beginning of February, and I’m bringing you along”
Silence. Y/n froze in place, putting her glass of water down.
“Me? The charity event? I thought that was for significant others and not random people-“
“Y/n. Stop it. You are not a random person in my life. You are family now. And, they changed the rules this year. We are able to bring family members that are not significant others. So I’m bringing you.”
Y/n sighed out, not in a frustrated way but more in a nervous way.
“I know it’s early and only December, but I wanted to let you know ahead of time so you can think about it. It is ok if you do not want to come, but I would love to have you there. I know Geno and you need to catch up on making fun of me, and you and Tanger need to catch up on the ridiculous reality tv shows that you watch.”
Y/n giggled. She moved to her bedroom and sat on her bed.
“I do want to come I’m just nervous is all. I don’t even know what to wear or what to-“
“Sweetheart, you have nothing to be nervous about. I’ll arrange to have a stylist choose your outfit so you have nothing to worry about.”
A stylist??? She didn’t have the money for that.
“Sid I don’t have the money for a stylist..”
Sidney chuckled on the other end, but it was a soft one.
“Oh baby girl you don’t have to pay for it. It’s on me.”
Y/n sighed, “Oh ok I’m sorry I just thought…”
“You have nothing to be sorry for, y/n. I think it’s so cute you were worried about having to pay for it, but it’s on me and you do not have to worry about a thing for this, ok? Let me take care of you.”
She picked at the loose thread on her blanket, and nodded.
“Ok, Sidney. I’ll let you handle it. Thank you” she said shyly.
“I’m glad that is settled. I’ll send you information on the stylist later this week. I gotta go to practice now, ok? I’ll text you afterwards.”
Y/n smiled as she continued to play with the loose thread.
“Ok. Have fun at practice.” She said.
“I will. But if you need anything, call or text me. If I don’t answer, call Tanger.”
She chuckled, “I don’t even have his phone num-“
She was cut off by a buzz, and Sidney had sent her his contact, labeled “Tanger”
“Now you do” Sidney said cheekily.
Y/n rolled her eyes and they said their goodbyes and hung up.
She placed her phone beside her on the bed and hugged her knees to her chest.
This was completely crazy; the she was invited to the Night of Assists with the Pittsburgh Penguins and would be going with Sidney Crosby.
