Across the Spider-Verse is beyond spectacular

Proud of myself for actually figuring this out before Paradox forms were announced and before the games came out.

The moment I saw the names of the two new Professors in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, I understood the theme of the new games.

Professor Sada. Pasada means ‘Past’ in Spanish

Professor Turo. Futuro means ‘Future’ in Spanish.

This is only back-upped by how they’re dressed and by the new Legendary Pokemon names and designs.

If you have a chance, watch Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop.

Whether its something strong, like love, or a random thought that crosses our minds, we sometimes forget how to express our feelings. This movie was a reminder to let ourselves feel and to allow those emotions to be known by others, especially those we care about. It also helps to remind us that our imperfections are an important part of us that make us who we are.

It’s a story that has been done many times; the blossoming love of two teenagers. However, the colorful and expressive backgrounds, amazing environmental design, playful soundtrack, comfortable slice of life aspects of it, and the endearing story about two people helping each other overcome their insecurities while working together to help someone else all felt incredibly heartwarming.

I also loved how the main ‘mystery’ had a good setup and a beautiful payoff. Pay close attention to the backgrounds.~ Nothing too complex, but it is a very cute story!

Will be watching it again at some point, and you should definitely watch it for the first time (or give it a rewatch) when you can.

So I finished watching Invincible a while ago and I decided to rewatch the show because it was that good. On my second viewing I noticed this detail. SPOILERS for Invincible by the way.

We all know about the brutal train scene that leaves Mark broken, right?

Well, when Mark first appears as Invincible, full on costume, happily soaring through the city, the song they used is called ‘Broken Boy’ by Cage The Elephant. This is the first lyric in the song:

I know it is a very minor thing, BUT... I’m losing my mind over here wondering if this was a coincidence or a fully conscious decision made by the creators of the show.
