awww getting a little teary 🥹 my grandpa just sent me a photo of a certificate from an australian arts exhibition in 1925 where his great-grandmother earned a bronze medal for HER crochet 🥹❤️

how wonderful to know that people in my family who i never had the chance to meet loved the same crafting technique that i do 🥹🥹🥹

it's been hard af but i'm INCREDIBLY pleased with how she's turning out so far 🥹 literally only her head is done and i still feel so proud of myself 😂

GUYS OKAY OMG

firstly, pattern writing is HARD i've frogged so much work so many times, major accolades to all of you who write patterns frequently 😭❤️

secondly, my light dragon pattern is ACTUALLY COMING TOGETHER

like i'm not even done with her head and i don't have anything written for other pieces except the eyelashes, but it's already starting to look like her head!!!!!!!

i loved following crochetdollsbyfifi's light dragon pattern so so much it gave me the courage to try writing my own, and i think i underestimated how much crochet knowledge i've picked up over the years because even though writing the pattern is HARD, i'm still doing it!!!!!! i'm finding success!!!!!!!!!

after my pattern is all done (it's going to take me a long time lmao) i think i'm going to adjust it to make the other three dragons too :) but god i have NO idea how i'm going to go about making farosh's horn; i can make a flat lightning bolt but her horn is flat the other way and i really don't want to make a bunch of flat panels and sew them all together 😭 if anybody has tips for me on how to make a weird shape like that with minimal sewing i would love love love to hear them!!!!

I'm only saying this for your sake, but objectively, it's not a smart idea to bring politics into normal hobbies. You might lose supporters of your blog just because of your political stance, and that would be terrible since you're so amazing!! It's only a suggestion, but I really reccomend not bringing politics into anything.

okay i'm gonna tackle the pokemon crochet challenge thing

i'm gonna crochet the first 151 pokemon IN ORDER and i'll post pictures of them when i do!!! i've currently got patterns for about half of them (purchased from crochetcreatives.com) and i guess i'll see if they sell the rest of their patterns? or maybe i'll just take the plunge and try to write my own!

made a cubone for my coworker's birthday!!!!

i followed the "cubone pattern" by ami amour on etsy!!

materials used:

k+c cotton yarn in "golden coast", "cream", and a pale yellow i couldn't find the tag for

polyfil stuffing of some kind

safety eyes in 9(?)mm

and a tapestry/darning needle to stitch it all together :)

after working on her on and off for a few weeks, the light dragon is complete!!!! i loved crocheting this pattern so much i'm actually a little sad she's done now 🥲💔 BUT i can't be that sad because she goes to a loving home (my tattoo artist) on the 26th!!!

i followed the "Crochet Light Dragon pattern, Zelda TOTK" pattern by Crochetdollsbyfifi on etsy!!! i HIGHLY recommend this pattern guys it's only $6 you won't regret it, and the seller is so kind 🥹

lion brand heartland in "congaree"

lion brand basic stitch in "mustard"

k+c essentials cotton in "gold coast"

crochet thread in green

3/4" buttons in teal

a weight 3 or 4 purple yarn i lost the tag for

making progress on the light dragon!!!! she's SO much fun to work on, i've got gab smolders' tears of the kingdom youtube series on in the background while i crochet and it's genuinely my favorite thing to do right now 🥹 i cannot WAITTTTTTT to give her to my tattoo artist!!!!!! really the struggle right now is deciding if i want to give her to her on session one or two 😂

i'm following crochetdollsbyfifi's "crochet light dragon pattern, zelda totk" etsy pattern, and i'll post my colors list when she's all done and stitched together!!

THE PIKACHUS ARE DONE 🙌 just in time for me to give them to my coworker tonight for her birthday lol 😂

i think they turned out SO cute!!!!!!

i made these two following the "pikachu - crochet pattern" pattern by amandalynncrochet on etsy!! i worked both of them with a 3.5mm hook, safety eyes in 12? mm?, and k+c cotton yarn in: buttercup, red wood, black canyon, sequoia, golden coast, rose garden, and charcoal!

i slightly modified the pattern for the yellow one to give her the heart-shaped tail, and for the shiny one i crocheted his head and body together as one piece instead of two pieces to stitch together :)

i made this cutie patoot as a gift for my sister!! i love making these little koroks, i need to have an ARMY of them 🥹 and!! he came with a Great and Important Quest: since he was made directly based off of in-game korok colors and masks, my sister must now go into botw or totk and find her korok!! 🌱🌿🍃

(and here are the color charts i found on google!! i crossed off the masks i don't currently have patterns for, so if somebody makes them PLEASEEEEEE tell me!!!! i'll buy the patterns!!!!! i could probably make the long skinny leaf one on my own but i've never made a pattern before so we'll see lol)
