so tomorrow is my boss's last day before she retires and i'm going to miss her so much so i decided to make her a set of poppy coasters since she loves flowers 🥹🥺😭

i followed nengurumi's free youtube pattern "crochet poppy flower tutorial" (youtube link in the replies!!) with some of my own modifications for the coasters themselves, and i freehanded the basket to hold them!

i used more of my sadly dwindling stash of k+c cotton yarn for the poppies (once again, rip joann's 🥲🥲🥲) and i used some hemp twine i had laying around for the basket!

After seeing that one where the neighbors are introduced to some "modern" things...it makes me think just how would they react to video games...

Aside from games on your phone, they would probably love them! Julie especially.

Video games

★ It would be tricky finding a system to play on. But stranger things have happened in Home. One evening you might find a small, scuffed up, handheld system in the drawer to your bedside table. Neatly wrapped in gift paper. With no clue how it got there.

★ Perhaps you spoke about your love for video games. And the next day Eddie delivers you a strange package with no return address. Like Home itself wanted you to have a piece of the world you were familiar with. Either way, its best not to question it too much.

★ Frank's favorite genre is puzzle games. With platformers coming in as a close second. Think Tetris or Hollow Knight. He sees video games as a way to challenge his critical thinking. Along with being fun entertainment.

★ Animal Crossing is the only thing Poppy plays. The older GameCube version is her favorite. It's easy for her to get lost in the game's daily tasks. And she finds it quite relaxing. But If one of her villagers moves away, she feels like she's losing a friend.

★ Flashy or violent games would be a no for Eddie. Preferring warmer titles such as Undertale or Kirby. Show him something scary and he's cowering in a corner. Any of the FNAF games would break him. The jump scares cause Eddie to leave the room.

★ Simulation games like RollerCoaster Tycoon would be Howey's favorite. Spending most of his time designing layouts and tweaking the coasters to be just right. If he played an rpg, he would probably just sell all his items. Searching for anything that could be valuable and not making any progress in the story.

★ Sally would adore rhythm games. And so would Julie! With the two playing Just Dance together. Though this leads to a little competition over who can get the best score. As such, Sally insists on playing where everyone can see.

★ Pet simulators are Wally's favorite. Nintendogs could keep his attention for hours. Playing it late into the night and getting caught by Home. Like a child caught by a parent. Usually, Home just hides the DS from Wally at bedtime.

★ Home cant play, but he likes watching you play. Occasionally peering over your shoulder to see what you're doing. Little Nightmares and other horror games get him worked up. Slamming a door loudly whenever you die.

I love Doey to much in Poppy Playtime, he has definitely became one of my favorite characters and a comfort character! I also love his theme song! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I also love how this chapters story is, it really made me feel a roller coaster of emotions at the end for all the write reasons.

Roller-coaster Ride

Tuk was over the moon! Her birthday was nearing each day and she couldn't keep silent about it. She would happily remind anyone who is willing to lend an ear. For tuk is turning 9! A big number for a big girl. This time however, she knows her birthday will be different since it will be her first birthday to celebrate in the Metkayina clan. While that is awesome, she does miss celebrating it with her best friend in the whole world, popiti. 

Popiti and tuk, while being a year apart, shared the same birthday. It will be weird and kinda lonely without her to enjoy their day. 

Though tuk knows that popiti feels the same way, they will do their own best to celebrate it in different parts of the world with each other in mind.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TUK!!” the whole sully family shouted in glee. Tuk squealed and giggled to her heart's enjoyment. Everyone gave her hugs and kisses, giving her blessings and so much more. 

Already the day began with a great start, neytiri cooked her favorite metkayina meal, kiri and spider gave her new clothing to wear on her day, lo’ak did her hair surprisingly, neteyam gifted her new coral beads to add to her collection. 

Jake however, was saving her gift for last. Tuk already knows it will be an awesome gift. 

“Lets go tuk, tsireya has a gift for you too” kiri tells her after breakfast. Her excitement never ending, tuk was quick to be the first to leave their home. Neteyam, lo’ak and kiri behind her as she makes a run for the shores. 

“Oh, hello tuk-oh my!” tsrieya couldn't finish her words and tuk launched herself towards the reef na’vi. Tsireya couldn't help but laugh at her stunt. 

“Happy birthday tuktuk” she managed to say. Tuk was smiling so wide she could sleep while smiling. “Thank you!” tuk replies. While it is rude to ask, tuk couldn't help but wonder what gift tsireya would give her. 

“I have a gift for you, but this gift is a bit on the other side of the island. I want to take you there with my ilu” tsireya tells her, tuk nods aggressively, words not enough to say she would love that. 

Tsireya grabs tuk by the hand and begins to make their way to the ilu pin, she gives a nod to the other 4 sully kids. 

Ok, tsireya distracting tuk is a go, time to prepare the rest of the surprise.

Mid day arrived, tsireya brought tuk back from their little adventure. Tuk managed to collect a lot of shells, many rare ones too! She was ready to share them with her family until she saw someone at the distance. Someone very familiar until it hit her. 

“POPITI!?” 

Without wasting a minute, tuk ran at full speed, ignoring tsireya’s words. 

She sees popiti doing the same, in the middle of the shore, the two best friends are reunited after a year of not seeing each other. 

“Poppy!! I missed you so much!” tuk cries out. Poppy being her bestie's nickname. 

“I missed you too ticky!” popiti replies with so much emotion in her little voice. They hugged each other so tight, scared to think this was a dream, that it was not real. But it was, it was real. 

“I'm so happy you are here! But how…?” tuk couldn't help but wonder. 

“Silly! Did you forget my dad came here? Uncle Jake asked if I wanted to celebrate my birthday with you and of course I said yes! So wala!” Popiti replied. Never in her life had she shouted a yes until Jake did ask. Tuk was so glad she did. Another year they can share their birthday together!

“Oh! And to make it better, tocky gave me this so we can watch it together!” popiti took something out from her little bag to show it to tuk. And boy did tuk gasp so loudly. 

“LILO AND STICH!?”

Tonowari and Ronal were hesitant and very skeptical of allowing the sully family use demon technology to celebrate their youngest’s day of birth. Even with thorough explanation and having an olangi na’vi vouch for them, they agreed. 

Tuk was so happy they were allowed that she desired to share watching the movie with the rest of the clan. To show them not everything is bad. 

Tisreya, thinking it was a wonderful idea, began to spread the word of what the sully’s call ‘movie night’. It captured everyone's attention. So when night came, the whole clan came together to watch this ‘movie’. Many children were very excited as they have never heard of moving paint or self vocal stories like how popiti described. 

“Alright everyone, please make yourselves comfortable and enjoy this lovely film” norman says as he pressed play to the holographic player. They had to bring the big one for hundreds to see. 

The logo plays out and already the metkayina kids were amazed. So much color in the air! And the sounds, how pleasantly interesting! 

“She knew they would like it” popiti whispers to tuk in her ear. Tuk giggled a bit before whispering back, “well yeah, I would suggest the same thing” . 

First scene plays out in what looks like a long, big room. The title at the bottom read ‘Galactic Federation Headquarters: Planet Turo’. The scene expands to showing so many interesting creatures. Some tall, some short, some pretty and some funny looking. Though one was currently center stage. 

“Read the charges” a female creature said. Her eyes were oddly pretty, her voice that of an almost elderly lady, firm and strong. Clearly she is someone important. 

A really tall creature began to speak, “Dr. Jumba Jukeeba. Lead scientist of the galaxy defense. You stand before this council accused of illegal, genetic experimentations” 

This Jumba that is being accused had a set of 4 eyes. Oddly cute. He denies the charges, spouting none sense until the creation was shown. 

A cute little blue thing. 

“Aaaawwwwwweeeeeeeee~!!” many kids said in unison. While the little 626 creature was crawling all over its glass cage, it was deemed adorable to the young ones. 

“It's hideous,” ronal said in muttered disgust. She looked over to see tsireya liking the creature while ao’nung is trying to process what it even is. 

“He looks so squishy!” 

“I wanna hug him!” 

“He’s so fluffy I'm gonna die!” 

Many kids were starting to like the blue creature more and more. As the scene progresses, the creature said some words that were not known either in human or na’vi language. But it seemed vulgar enough to disgust many creatures in the film. 

“Captain Gantu, take him away” the female creature says as she walks away. 

“They are not gonna hurt him, are they?” one of the metkayina kids asks in worry. The little guy was too cute to be killed. 

“Shhh! Shut up and watch!” another kid said in a whisper.

Experiment 626 was a clever little fella. Using his spit, he managed to escape his enclosure by spreading his dna all over for the guns to shoot at. Chaos ensued, using his tiny body and super strength, he managed to escape the ship he was on and stole a red ship. 

“He took the red one…” 

The kids cheered, enjoying the chaos 626 was causing. 

Tsireya couldn't help but giggle, “he is so tiny yet so strong”. The action was definitely entertaining. 

“An ankle biter no doubt” lo’ak adds while munching on popcorn. He missed popcorn a lot. Ever since uncle norm came with good stuff, lo’ak was forever grateful to him. 

“Hmmm I guess this isnt so bad” ao’nung mutters. The film so far was so silly and loud, but the good kind. 

The movie goes on, this time the council lady was furious, demanding where 626 is going. Where the plot was very convenient, on planet Earth. The council lady sees the big blue areas and asks what it is. 

“Water, most of the planet is covered in it,” one of the creatures replied. 

“He won't survive in water, his molecular density is too great” 

“WHAT?! Booooo! Who can survive without water?!” another metkayina child couldn't help but shout. 

“True, even back at the forest we need water” popiti mutters. Tuk nods in agreement. Water is essential no matter the place. To live without it is like living without air! Ridiculous. 

As the movie continues, ninew cuddles with norm as she watches her daughter enjoying her day with tuk. Her other little one sleeping away in norm’s arms, this night was becoming a magical one. This movie, while not being her first time watching it, loves that it brings people together. 

Now if she can just secretly get her hands on a stitch of her own, life will be complete. 

‘Mahalo nui ia Ke Ali’i wanhine ‘O Lili’uani ‘O ka wo hi kuuuuu~’ 

Music begins to play, a whole new scene changes. From dark blues and tech to bright and colorful. Fishes were shown, varying different sizes and shapes. Just hearing the melody brought chills down on everyone's spines. 

Silly little fish was swimming while having something in its mouth, as it swam away, the crowded fish disbursed, revealing a little girl swimming in the ocean. The logo presents ‘Lilo and Stitch’. 

As the little girl swims up the surface, back to back changes to another area. Women wearing interesting outfits were beginning to dance with the song. 

“Ooooohh, they dance so pretty!” tsireya whispers in excitement. Her people dance differently but the way the women move, it feels a bit familiar. Kiri heard her and feels the same way. The dance is so elegant and smooth yet holds a form or power. 

The children were so enchanted with the dance, a few got up to try and mimic the dance. The parents saw this and couldn't contain their laughter. 

“They wear long skirts with leaves on them, I thought sky demons wear horrible clothing” Tonowari wonders. 

“It wasn't always like that. Back then, humans had so many interesting clothing to present their ways. This one specifically is Hawaiian. "Jake provides a bit of information. 

In the room where the dance was taking place, a man who is likely the instructor tells some young girls to enter the stage. He counted and there were 4, one was missing. 

“Oh lilo…” he mutters. 

The music rises with the chorus, lilo enters the area by the back door, still wet from the sea but wearing her own outfit. As if she was there from the beginning, lilo slips her way into her spot and dances with the rest of the little girls. 

‘He Inoa No Kalani Kalakua Kulele’  

The music and dance end. As if on cue, the little girls began to slip from the wed spots lilo left on the stage. 

“She brings a sandwich and a camera but not a towel” tuk comments to popiti. Her friend nods in agreement. “She could have dried off while running, leaving no mess or evidence behind”. 

The next part was something popiti and tuk love to see over and over. 

Lilo beating the crap out of myrtle. 

Violence isn't the answer, but in the sully family, its the solution. 

“Childrening indicating violence, how wonderful’ ronal mutters.

Spider was a very perceptive kid, always has, nothing escapes him. So when he was paying attention to the movie, he noticed some odd behaviors from lilo that oddly fit with all of his siblings. The odd need to do a traditional offering fits kiri, the need to punish ‘friends’ is something tuk would do, being impulsively violent is lo’ak, and enjoying the culture is so neteyam. Yet he can't help but relate more to stitch, in ways he cannot word it. 

Either way, he likes the night so far, a day to celebrate his baby sister and baby cousin. It also seems the adults of the metkayina are enjoying the film, amazed at the harmless demon technology. 

His eyes go back to the holographic screens, up on a house was a young woman running to get inside, music plays from inside the house. She tries to open the door but it seems to be stuck. 

“Lilo! Open the door lilo!” 

“Go away…” 

Inside was lilo laying on the floor with a dull miserable look as music plays from the little box. The door being nailed shut prevents lilo’s older sister from getting in. 

“Leave me alone to die….” 

The older sister tries to warn lilo but the little girl only increases the music to block out the sisters voice. 

Kiri couldn't help but laugh at Lilo's attempt to block out her sister. She can recall a handful of times tuk tried to ignore her when she was upset. Will even sing  out loud just to not hear kiri’s voice. The sister dynamic is something that seems to be shared throughout the universe it seems. 

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!”

“Run lilo! Run!!” tuk shouted, getting into the movie. The CPS visited didnt go well, as soon as ‘Mr. Bubbles’ left, nani gave lilo the meanest glare she could give. It was a chase to the death. 

Lilo had to fight grossly to escape, hide in the washer before getting caught. Tuk and Popiti remember how many times their parents had to chase after them for some silly reason or another. 

This part however, nani clearly had enough of lilo’s antics. 

“Why didn't you wait at the school?! You’re supposed to wait there! LILO! Do you not understand?! Do you want to be taken away? Answer me” 

“NO!” 

“No you don't understand?” 

“NO!” 

“No what?!” 

“Nooooooo!” 

Lilo flops onto the floor making incoherent words. 

“Ugh, you are such a pain,” nani says in stress. 

While these are words neteyam would never say to tuk or any of his siblings, he feels for nani. Being the oldest sibling carries a big responsibility, almost borderline of parenting. Even harder with very stubborn siblings. The need to scream into an empty cave just to let out a bit of steam is also something he secretly does. Funny enough, it is something Nani seems to be doing now. Screaming her anger while muffling it. Lilo doing the same.

“H-hiiiieeeeee…” 

Sitch and lilo finally meet, of course scaring nani and the animal shelter caretaker. Despite both adults being very repulsed by his looks, lilo was convinced stitch was the one for her. 

While lilo believes the heavens bestowed her a loving friend, stitch was only using her as a flesh shield from jumba who located him. 

Something jumba was quick to figure out. 

“Using that little girl as a shield, THAT IS LOW EVEN FOR YOU!!!” 

Stitch sees it as a win, even dares to show a vulgar move. Something that upset jumba very much. 

“What a naughty one!” A mektyina child says, he could never dare do something like that. That big guy was right, that was low. A very low blow. 

Stitch barks like he has seen the dogs do, warning lilo and others. But before the adults could see, plekly managed to shove jumba away from the view. 

“Bad dog, barking at nothing” the caretaker scolds while praying water at stitch. Something he very much despises. 

“You can't shoot and you cant be seen. Look at you! You look like a monster! We have to blend in, "Plekly told Jumba. This made many heads tilt. 

“Is that how the avatar bodies were for? To blend in?” Ninew asks her husband. Norman nods, “yup, as much as we could. To be more in touch and be closer to you all”. Well closer they did. Ninew satisfied with the answer continues watching the movie. 

“But how? Would they try to look like humans too?” rotxo ask. Oddly it will be reversed this time. Aliens trying to look human rather than the other way around. How will it be possible if the movie is not showing the technology the humans use? 

“Well this movie is over a century old, perhaps such things didn't exist at the time” tsireya suggests. 

It seems the more logical reason.

“WHAT ABOUT OHANA!?” 

“Ohana?” many of the metkayina repeated themselves. 

“Dad said ohana means family. Ohana means family, family means…” 

“No one gets left behind…” 

“Or?” 

“Or forgotten” 

“ohana….I like that word” tonowari compliments. It sounds like and tranquil. 

“Its a nice word…not sounding so stupid like the other human words” ronal agrees. 

Tonowari noticed there were some words he never heard other humans speak, but when the characters in the film use different words, those unfamiliar, it brought some form of familiarity. What they mean and context, tonowari liked those words better. 

Ohana becoming his new favorite. As family is everything to him. 

“We are ohana right popiti?” tuk asks her greatest bestie in the whole world. Popiti smiles and hugs her, “forever ohana, to infinity and beyond!”

“Nani….nani…”

Nani woke up from her slumber to see lilo and stitch in her room with a record label. 

“Look” was all lilo said. She adds the claw of stitch onto the vynl and opens his mouth. Clear, loud music began to play. Lilo opens and closes his mouth to show it really was coming from him. 

“Oh that's so cool!” ao’nung whispers. It was a silly thing, but made him wonder how that even works? Perhaps humans have something like that? 

Though the plot moves on, bubbles making his return, stating that nani lost her job. 

“Well uuhhh…you see I just quit that job. You know the hours are just not conducive to raising a child-” she stopped mid sentence when stitch just threw a book at bubbles face. 

“Hahaha! Again again!” tuk clapped her hands. The random acts of violence are very amusing to her. 

Bubbles clearly was not pleased with the new ‘puppy’ lilo has. But put out the expectations. 

“New job, model citizen. Good day” with that he leaves. 

Thus another montage began. Between nani trying to get a new job, and lilo trying to teach stitch how to be a model citizen. 

How does that go? 

Fruits being punched in, glass breaking, and kissing a random old lady, even causing enormous panics at the beach, it was a very long day. 

Lilo tried her best to make sure stitch became a good model citizen, using elvis as an example. Nani does her best to persuade anyone with her resume in hopes to get a new job. Yet nothing seems to come so easy. 

Until…..

“What are they doing???” rotxo asks. 

David, nani, lilo and stitch began to use odd looking boards to use for the ocean waves. 

“Oh that is called surfing, it was an awesome sport to do for the sea” lo’ak answers. The waves rise and fall, David and nani going through them looks so much fun. 

“Sa’nu, sempu, we must try it sometime! It is suitable for our ocean!” tsireya pleads. The movie just keeps on surprising her with so many things. Ao’nung and rotxo also like the idea of ‘surfing’. It looks easy, so it shouldn't be so bad. Right? 

“I wouldn't be too excited…” ronal points their focus back on the screen. 

Like usual, jumba just had to ruin the moment. 

By snatching stitch from Nani's surf board, it made her lose balance. Things got dangerous quick when stitch grabbed lilo and unintentionally dragging her with him under water with jamba grabbing him. 

While a close call, bubbles saw it all. 

“Oh no….” 

 Stitch learned the truth, lilo and nani once had parents. A complete ohana. 

“Thats us before…it was rainy and they went for a drive” 

A picture of nani and lilo with their parents when they were alive. Happy and when life was good. 

This tugged on all mothers' hearts. To know her and nani had to learn how to live without them. With no one to guide or make sure they are well. Ronal, ninew, even neytiri cant imagine that on their own kids. 

“Our family is little now and we dont have many toys. But if you want, you can be part of it” lilo says, wanting stitch to be part of her life and end her emptiness she feels. 

“But if you wanna leave….you can…” 

Lilo isn't one to contain someone who isn't willing. 

Stitch says nothing, he grabs the ugly duckling book and leaves from the bedroom window. He makes the short journey into the jungle. Opening the book right at the page where the little duckling says ' I'm lost’. He repeats those words, hoping for someone to find him. 

“B-but he had a family with lilo and nani!! He has to go back! They were his family!” 

“Yeah, lilo welcomed him into her life!” 

Things got a bit emotional for everyone. 

“Ah dang it…” tuk and popiti felt tears ready to fall from their eyes. 

“Oh gosh…” not far from them was kiri also ready to cry. The ugly duckling is a story that will always make her cry, even in this movie she can't get away from it. 

Jumba and plekly were washed up after another failed attempt to capture stitch. Even the alien council woman has had enough of their constant delays. 

“I have lost patience with you both! Have you captured 626 or not?!” the council woman demands to know. 

Plekly couldn't form a word, not knowing how to properly answer her. 

“Ooooooh he is in big trouble!” a reef child says. 

“Big big trouble!” another chimes in. 

“Big is an understatement, poor little skinny thing” a reef parent whispers. 

“Consider yourselves fired! Incompetence is nothing short of despicable!" with that the call ended. Jumba heard everything. If the council woman is no longer hovering over them, this means they can forget the disguise and do whatever it takes! 

“Now we do it my way!” with a new amount of excitement to finally get his hands on the chaotic monster he created. 

Tuk is reminded of spider and lo’ak how they fail at the most simplest tasks. Like following an order. Like the joke humans love to repeat amongst themselves, ‘you had one job’. 

With no one else to take in the missions, a new enemy has entered the frey. The giant grey alien, Captain Gantu. And he won't waste a second to redeem himself and gain back what he lost. 

Morning came for stitch, he awakens with the little hope still in him. Hearing some movement, he anticipates for the moment. Have they come for him? 

Yes, just not in the way he wants. 

Jumba was there to take him back. 

“Why does that fatso ruin everything!?” A reef child screeches in pure annoyance. 

“OI!” her parents scolds. Though it is true. 

“Always arriving in the worst times, he should stay in that prison where he belongs” ao’nung huffs. 

Stitch feeling scared he steps back everytime jumba steps forward. 

“W-waiting…” he says. 

Jumba wants to know for what. 

“Family…” 

Now it came to jumba. Little stitch thinking he had one of his own. 

“You don't have one, I made you” jumba said to stitch coldly. 

“Jumba may have made stitch but he belongs to lilo and nani! They are his family!” tuk states, popiti and the other kids agree. 

From what every na’vi understands, family is more than just who created who, and blood lines. Family is those who are close, safe, and together. 

Stitch tries to argue back, that perhaps he could have one but jumba quickly shuts that idea down. 

“You are built to destroy. You can never belong” 

“But he does belong….” tsireya whispers. In her eyes, stitch can be taught to do more, be more than what jumba made him to be. 

Before jumba can convince stitch to come with him, Stitch makes a run for it going back to lilo knowing she can protect him.

“Stitch?” lilo looks surprised. He came back! 

But it was the silence before the storm. A huge four eye guy walks into her home and begins to shoot everywhere! Another round of chaos began, but this time lilo and stitch worked together to fight him back. 

At the cost of her house. 

Plates were being thrown, ceilings crashing down, insults back and forth. 

“They are ruining it! OH this is bad bad!” rotxo couldn't stress it out even more. Even if they are fake aliens, they are completely reckless! Soon there will be nothing left of lilo’s home. 

Tensions were clearly rising, some biting their lip, others can't stop swaying their tails, many holding their breaths. 

“Nani is going to lose lilo….” ronal has come to the conclusion. Being told not to leave lilo alone she did, and it resulted in an absolute catastrophe. 

Plekly couldn't even do much with just being a skinny guy! 

While the car is being thrown, lilo had to make an emergency call to Mr. Bubbles. 

“Aliens are attacking my house” she says with full seriousness and honesty. 

“Oh good, my dog found the chainsaw” she leaves the phone and runs away. But plekly was quick to take her and run out of the house the second he heard a rising alarm. 

Jumab tossing a clogged gun back and forth, forgetting it was about to explode until 

BOOM! 

Once there was a loving, fun warm home, and now there is nothing. 

As if things couldn't get any worse, stitch revealed his full real form to lilo. His anatase and extra limbs. 

“You’re one of them…?” 

Everyone saw how angry lilo was. Shoving away someone whom she thought was her best friend, a new family member, is an enemy that caused so much damaged. 

But before any more movement could be done, Gantu appeared silently and was quick to launch a net. Capturing stitch and lilo in one go. 

Gantu not caring if anyone sees him, makes his way to his ship as nani was the unfortunate one to see him. But also see lilo was captured. 

“Oh this is bad bad bad! What can she do! She is small compared to him!” rotxo was really getting into the movie. So was tsireya as they fear for the next part.  

While stitch was able to slip out from the glass cage, lilo cant do what he can and was taken away before stitch could even try. 

Nani, having no idea what she just saw already knew it has something to do with the ugly blue evil koala. 

“Wait, she demands he talks but gets scared that he does? Humans are so weird…” 

Muttered comments here are there, but tuk can hear it all. They can question all they want, but the answers will be given in time. “I think she caused him brain damage” popiti comments, stitch may be indestructible but is he immune to injuries? 

While yes nani was repulsed, she was also reminded of the meaning of the word ohana. Being ‘persuasive’ as jumba tells, stitch managed to convince jumba and plekly to help him and nani save lilo. They are already fired, what is more criminal actions to the charges list? They literally dont have much to lose. 

Except for the little girl. 

“Woooooaaaa!!” 

The children, of all ages were once again in awe. Space ships flying in the air. Gantu’s ship was small compared to jumbas. 

“OH he most likely stole that one” spider said. The ship is too pretty for someone like Jumba to use. 

Seeing stitch free has clearly pissed gantu off, many kids chanting and cheering on stitch, 

“SAVE LILO!!” 

“YOU CAN DO IT STITCH!!” 

“BET HIM UP!!” 

“Abomination!” gantu says with disgust in his voice. 

“Stupid head” stitch replies with an equal amount. Ripping a piece of the tank from the truck he stole, the gas leaking into the lava causes a huge explosion. Helping stitch go straight towards gantu. 

“ALOHA!” 

It really didnt take much for stitch to toss out gantu from his ship and land on jumbas. Being quick he makes his way behind the ship to get lilo out. 

“You came back…” 

“No body gets left behind” 

True to it, he jumps back down with Lilo in his arms onto Jumba's ship. With gantu who looks very ashamed and embarrassed to be defeated. And just when things seems to be well, there is one last obstacle in the way. 

The council woman came. 

“Man, why cant everyone either go home or go back to space?!” 

Ao’nung rubs his face between his hands. He wants everyone to have a happy ending, is that too much to ask? 

“Nothing is that simple ao’nung” neteyam tells him. He has seen enough movies to know there has to be one last thing before reaching the desired end. 

They see as the council woman was clearly fed up with gantu, plekly and jamba, all failing to get stitch. Lecturing jamba how it was all his fault while still calling stitch his experimental name. 

“Stitch” he corrects her. 

Council woman needed a few seconds to process what he said. 

“Can stitch say goodbye..?” he asks. Seeing how well he speaks, the council woman allows it.

“Yes yes yes! Prove yourself stitch! Don't let her take you!” kiri and tsireya were being so still, seeing as stitch showing he is more than how the movie began. 

“Who are you…?” the council woman asks. 

Stitch proudly saying, “this is my family. I found it all on my own. It's  little and broken but still good. Yup, still good” 

Awe’s were everywhere.  

“He finally knows…” tonowari smiles, the little fella has learned so much. But sad to know he has to say goodbye to those who welcomed him in. 

“Lilo didnt you buy that thing at the shelter..?” Mr. Bubbles reminds lilo. Then it clicked on her mind. Lilo was to show the council woman the legitimate adoption paper with a stamp, accusing her that if she takes stitch, it would be stealing. 

“Oh that is right, so she must follow it right?” Ronal wonders. Rules and discipline is something everyone follows. Seems the council women is no different. Clever move. This pleases the council woman and allows stitch to continue to live his new life with lilo and nani. Now under the galactic federation protection. 

Stitch was staying for life. 

“Wait, what about the house?” neytiri asks suddenly. 

Getting lost into the actions and the wonderful outcome, to what the new found family would go to? Well  it was soon answered. 

Another song from elvis plays as stitch plays his ukulele with everyone working together to rebuild the new home. This time bigger to include jumba and plekly. New memoires are formed as it becomes the new normal. A new chapter in their life. 

Applaud breaks as many cheer. It was clear as day, everyone loved it. 

“Wow that was cool!” 

“Can we watch another movie!” 

“Tuk we gotta do this every time!” 

“Yes tuk! For all of your birthdays!” 

Can we do it on mine?” 

“Oh oh! Mine too please!” 

Kids gathered around tuk and popiti with many complements and questions. 

“I guess, but you guys have to thank popiti here since she brought it” not wanting to hog the spout light, tuk brought her bestie closer. Popiti blushed at the attention, not entirely used to it. 

“I guess, but really it was all thanks to tocky, without her, we would have never watched it” popiti replied. 

This made many kids curious, “who is tocky?” 

Tuk was looking out at the back yard from her bedroom window, wondering in deep thought. Hopefully popiti and tuk will like it, one of her favorites. 

“Tuk! Common! Or we are gonna be late for the movie!” hearing her parents down stairs, tuk was quick to go down and join her family. 

“Why are we watching the live action version? Won't it be the same thing as the cartoon?” neytiri asks. She never understood the purpose of the live remakes. Jake just chuckles, "originality is hard these days, also its tuk’s birthday and she chose this” 

“Heck yeah i did!” tuk cheers. 

They all get into the car to head for the theatres, as they make the drive, everyone chats away about how it will go. All the while tuk sits and listens, mentally giving her other half a good birthday blessing. 

Aaaaaaaaaand that is it for this one! I was planning to release it a bit later because I legitimacy thought it was gonna be released in june for some reason. So its out a lot earlier!

It was a good thing that I did not spend too much time at the gym last night because of course I had to wake up and take care of Flora once again in the middle of the night.

Yeah, it's not easy, but I will say that the very sight of her, wriggling and demanding attention and care, is enough motivation to wake up at three in the morning and take care of her. Babies just have no sense of time!

But mama has to take care of herself too and that means breakfast. I'm up early enough for it any ways so why not make cinnamon oatmeal? It's easy and more importantly it is quick. You know how it is when sometimes you are just so hungry you want to eat as soon as possible? Yeah, that's how I'm feeling.

And while the taste of cinnamon oatmeal is tempting there is also another familiar feeling that I'm having this morning...

So I spent a lot of the morning in the restroom, as you can imagine, and barely ate and to get my mind off of what is going on with me I dive into work. Editing videos can be very distracting and its exactly what I need right now.

Yeah, I know, I can't run from it for long but just let me have this one day...

I'm all about distractions today actually and since it is Saturday it's the perfect time to sit down and watch a movie. Simder is our choice and wow it's just what I need! It's such an emotional roller coaster!

I can only imagine Flora old enough and watching it with her and her...brother or sister? Ah! I really don't want to think about the possibility that I'm pregnant again! I'm trying not to but...

"So what did you think?" I ask him as the credits roll, still with pregnancy on the mind but trying not to think too much about it because the idea of taking care of Flora WHILE being pregnant seems like a mountain that I can't climb.

"It was alright I guess," an expected response from him. "I'm not really much of a movie person."

"Uh huh, maybe we can watch a sports movie next time then?" He likes the idea of that while meanwhile I'm wondering how I will break the news to him.

The day goes on and soon I'm found soaking in the tub and contemplating life itself.

Okay, so yeah, I am expecting. I took the test before dipping into the bath because knowing is better than just remaining ignorant and trying to deny reality. I must accept it and now that I have I begin to think that it is better this way. At least Flora's little sibling will be close in age to her.

Actually, the more I think about it, the happier I am about it and I know Pascal will be happy to hear it. He did say he wanted another, which is easy of course for him to say.

The first person to know will be the smallest person in the house because she can't tell anyone at all! She's happy to see me too at least until I tell her she will be a big sister and then she's crying her eyes out.

To be fair, she just doesn't like being held for too long but hey this means she won't ever be spoiled as the only child at least! She's going to have to learn how to share at a very early age!

I spend time just playing with her until her little self gets tired and yawns and is ready for I hope a nice long sleep so that she doesn't bother Pascal too much.

Somehow, someway, I'll have to spread my love between two children. Right now, it seems impossible, but parents do it, right? Good ones do, I suppose. I don't want to play favorites after all.

I head to the gym because Marjorie had actually contacted me and asked if I wanted to hang out and after what happened yesterday, why not? I feel like yeah, she has some explaining to do, but maybe she just wants to hang out?

Of course the moment I step inside I'm not only greeted by the clanking of weights, the playing of some bouncy poppy music in the background, but by Marcus as well. He's working so hard that I can see the strain of his muscles and the occasional grunt. My plan was to just walk past him and look for Marjorie but the way he glares at me forces me to stop.

"Looks like you gained weight over night," he says with a scowl, seemingly ready for an argument.

"And chu are now more meaner," I say in passing and quickly avoid him. Thankfully he just laughs and gets back to working out.

Of course I find her in the yoga room doing warm up stretches.

I don't. That's not a phrase I've ever heard but before I can think about it she's continuing. "Here to work out too? You didn't get to get much in with what happened yesterday, sorry about that by the way."

"O-oh, it is good Marj, chu can't control others," there, that's good enough for me. Sometimes your friends have bad taste in men and it sucks but I can't live her life for her. "Chu know, he say something about me when I came on? He said I gained weight over night."

"You know Frida," she starts in that tone that hints that she should probably not say what she is thinking about saying. "You HAVE gained weight."

"Marj," I say low, warning her not to go down this path, but she is going.

"Marcus is a good man, he means well, he just thinks being honest about things is the only way to go and honestly, you've gained weight. That is a fact by the looks of it."

I'm not sure what to say to that or if I should say anything at all. Defensively, I want to announce that I'm pregnant again, which would explain the weight gain, not that it needs to be explained, but I'm too shocked to say anything at all.

"Frida, I'm sorry I didn't mean-"

"No, chu meant it! Bye, Marj," and I'm not sure if this is a final goodbye or not but right now I just can't continue a relationship with her. It is one thing to defend him, that I understand, make excuses for him. I probably would do the same for Pascal, but it is another to agree and also insult me. I draw the line at that. I have way too much going on in my life to deal with people like this!

There are so many fabulous authors writing Eruri fic at the moment, I've only got through a fraction of my to-read list. Here's a few of my recent favourites though.

Charon by @flourchildwrites I love sci-fi fics. There have been a few fabulous ones in the Eruri fandom over the years and this intriguing story is right up there.

shattered dreams and broken souls by JustRaven I've been following Raven's gorgeous Eruris on ice fic for ages, so I was thrilled when it updated recently.

Solace by ondvind A beautifully poignant canonverse post-ACWNR fic that makes me nostalgic for the early days of the fandom.

the best worst thing by @huxandthehound A lovely little short, sweet, colleague AU by another of my favourite writers.

call it dreaming by theorchidinthecanyon The record shop fic. I love everything about this fic and the playlists are just the icing on the cake.

Listo by drowsycricket One of my favourites from last year. A really original Circus AU where Erwin and Levi are trapeze artists. I became slightly obsessed with the trapeze videos posted at the end of each chapter to demonstrate the tricks.

Now let’s get the story straight. Poppy. Oh yes that word that echoes through one persons ear, right to the next. But how did she manage to become one of the controversial people that now has a million streams globally?

That’s a question we’re going to answer today.

It seems like a lot of people are heated. More heated than anything else that Bad Omens themselves have been experiencing in this delusional roller coaster of drama for the past few decades.

But why Poppy?

Moriah or Poppy as her nickname developed fame over YouTube. Spilling fame doing nothing but making videos of herself, involving quite a lot of YouTubers along the way.

Though her career was launching, a lot of people seemed to not like her due to various reasons.

Now that she’s with Bad Omens and frontman Noah Sebastian, it seems that she has started a whirlwind of chaos and drama.

But why?

Let’s start with the most popular and most listened song VIOLENCE AGAINST NATURE.

Since it’s mainstream people have been listening to it, and taking their own opinions on it. But it seems the farther it was to promote Poppy’s new album it seems like it was a way to get poppy in the spotlight.

Take it as alleged because we will never know about it.

But back to poppy 😃.

Some say she’s a mediocre artist just searching for attention. Which I agree with the most.

But with Bad Omens that’s something completely different. Front man and lead singer Noah Sebastian chose to write a song and have Poppy play the lead verse and chorus of this song.

But why?

Easy. Ever since their OST DEBUT for their comic book series came out, they chose to and yes chose several and various artists to collaborate with. This included We Are Fury, Erra, HEALTH, and many more.

But something about Poppy stood out than most. Her vibrational voice that just kept people guessing for more. Yet, the outcomes and situations now have escalated more into chaos than anything else.

Now that she drove back to the social media and social platform of fame once again, it seems like she’s leaning more on Bad Omens than her own personal album.

Why?

To promote her albums, so she can get the spotlight she always wanted. Although I highly hate this. To say.

But why Noah Sebastian?

Does she have something that she likes about him? Or is it just to get Noah’s fame and attention? More so to get it away from Bad Omens. Causing a whirlwind of controversy.

As for many of us we know Bad Omens didn’t get the easy fame most people would expect right away. Not until their third album “THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND.”

Came out.

Millions of streams and over 165 streams on Spotify, with a golden record now on hold. It seems to me their 10 year contract with Sumerian Records that somehow Sumerian made them more attracted to the public audience in less than a week.

Now with Poppy being involved and involving herself with Bad Omens seems to be causing a lot more problems.

To the extent where Bad Omens might be blocking fans due to the extent of hating on Poppy more than anything in this world.

So is it really a PR Stunt?

To me it definitely seems and looks like it.

But why are fans heated over such a popular figure and now public figure? Noah Sebastian?

It’s an easy answer. Because people are taking it way too far and personal that it seems as if they only want Noah’s face on every cover except for Poppy.

Either way this has caused rumors on them dating whether or not this is true, Poppy made and asked her way towards the metal scene.

This wasn’t due to dating Noah Sebastian.

She wants the same thing as Noah. To be famous. So where do these fans have against it?

Easy.

She’s just not built for it.

It’s driving people insane, to where they’re just sick of seeing Poppy’s face all over the place. Whether or not it’s with Noah, or herself alone.

Noah’s New Potential and “New Partner”

Now this leads to people even saying that they’re excluding the rest of the band. Including Nick Folio, Nicholas Ruffilo, and Jolly or Joakim Karlsson.

In which RockSound included a magazine with just Poppy and Noah on the front cover.

Now that’s a whirlwind of fucking chaos. From various people stating that the band is breaking up, to Poppy and Noah dating.

Listen. I’m just here to spill the tea here. Noah and Poppy aren’t dating. She wants clout and attention.

She doesn’t even know what she’s doing. Which is oddly ironic considering this mediocre woman finds and slithers her way to fortune.

But anyways.

Personally, I think it’s just complete nonsense and waste of time.

Raining Storm part 1

What’s that? AO3 shut down so no bedtime fics? (For those of us on/close to EST at least) Well fear not! Have a small groppy part one fic in the meantime! (Full disclaimer my writing is rusty 😅)

Branch knew he was a paranoid troll. He'd had more than enough public panic attacks to acknowledge it was a problem. But knowing you have a problem doesn't equate to fixing it, which was his current predicament. He already knew that a strong storm was going to blow in. The weather announcer called it, and he and the other trolls could sense it in the air even when there wasn't a cloud in sight. He checked to see if his Bunker openings were secure, checked his walls and floors for maintenance so the place wouldn't flood, checked his piping, his rations, and finally went on one final patrol to also remove or secure the traps he kept around the forest. Poppy had spotted him and tried to invite him to some party he couldn't remember and after a back and forth argument he finally convinced her to leave him alone. He also made sure to remind her to keep the party short because of the approaching storm but he wasn't sure if she paid attention. 'She could still be out there' a jolt of fear went down Branch's spine as he almost spilled the tea in his cup. A splash of it made it to his fingers holding the cup and he hissed in pain and put it promptly onto its coaster. 

There was no way Poppy was still out there. While singing during a storm was something he could definitely see her doing she wasn't so reckless as to do it during a particularly bad one at night, right? He imagined what it would be like to see her as she sang during the thunderstorm. Something loud and fun maybe in time with the thunder. Even though the notion of her out there with a musical number was bizarre enough it made him crack a smile he still couldn't shake the fear to go up and check on things. Something. Maybe it was nothing?

Branch groaned in frustration and got off the couch. Clearly he wasn't going to be able to relax until he checked on things on the surface. He went over to the supplies room to grab a few items and weapons but on his way to one of his other entrance routes he saw his goggles on the table. He had recently made a new pair that could make things visible at night and yesterday a final touch of water proof sealant around the rims so as to not have them be damaged in water. 'No time like the present' Branch thought to himself as he grabbed the goggles and put them above his head. He pulled on a leaf poncho, double checked his supplies, then went through the hatch that led to another part of the forest. This was one of the ones he used when he just wanted to patrol the perimeter and it took less of a risk of getting found by other trolls. Thankfully Poppy seemed to only know his default entrance. 

The wind howled and rain beat down mercilessly. Branch immediately put the goggles over his eyes and turned them on. He debated whether he should forgo the poncho to truly test the waterproof upgrade but ultimately decided to keep it on. At the end of the day he was out in the storm on a hunch. No need to go the extra mile. He checked a couple of traps that he already confirmed were secure with his list when he heard shouts in the distance. He swiveled his head around and his ears flickered to try and catch it. It sounded like a group of trolls. He went down on all fours to run across the forest and kept his ears open for the shouts. As he got closer to where they were he noticed it was on a cliffside. And it was Poppy's friend group. With no Poppy. He got up and ran to where they were and could hear their cries more distinctly. 

"POPPY DON'T MOVE OKAY!"

"STAY PUT!" 

"WE'RE GONNA RESCUE YOU OKAY?"

It sent a jolt of panic in Branch's body and he ran even faster towards them. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" Branch shouted over the raging winds. 

The snack pack jolted at the sight of him in his poncho and illuminated goggles. "Oh Branch it's horrible!" Biggie exclaimed "We were trying to pack up when the storm hit and just as we were nearly done a gust took Mr. Dinkel's hat! We went after it and just as Poppy managed to grab it the cliff crumbled under her! There were supplies there too and now we think she's tangled in them because she's barely moved!"

Dread pooled in Branch's gut and he moved the snack pack out of the way to get a better view of the situation. With some moving of the goggle's lenses he managed to spot Poppy. She seemed to have her leg caught wrapped around some sort of rope with random misalliances that made it impossible to move. 

"What's with the fashion faux pas?" Satin asked her sister as she gestured at Branch. Unfortunately for her Branch had very good hearing. 

"Night vision goggles!" Branch responded indignantly. Seriously, did everything have to be a fashion statement?

"Lemme see!" Smidge made a grab for the goggles but Branch managed to keep her away from his face. 

"Hold on!" He shouted as she continued to struggle, "I need to find a route to get down there!"

Smidge stood still for a second then nodded and let Branch back towards the cliff side.

He nodded in thanks and readjusted so he could see the edge and its surroundings. The water was obviously higher with the storm and it would probably only get higher and more dangerous. He ran against the cliff side and searched for a root that he could secure himself onto to get down there. The more he looked the more he realized that the fallen party supplies alongside the storm debris had created a dam that made the water rise higher. "Dammit," Branch whispered to himself as he tried to search for anything to help him get down there. If Poppy didn't die from this experience he was going to give her the lecture of a lifetime when this was all over. Who the hell risked their life over a worm's hat!?

He finally managed to spot a root a bit higher to where he needed to go but it was a gamble. And he unfortunately needed help. He gave a sharp whistle "SMIDGE!" she rushed over.

"FOUND SOMETHING?" She shouted over the wind. It had begun to pick up. They didn't have much time. 

Branch took his goggles off and handed them to her. "THERE'S A ROOT DOWN THERE THAT I NEED YOU TO TAKE ME TO! ONCE I GET DOWN THERE I'LL MAKE MY WAY TO POPPY. THEN I'M GOING TO TRY AND CLIMB EITHER BACK TO THE ROOT OR SCALE THE WALL. I NEED YOU TO BE READY TO GRAB BOTH OF US. THE WATER'S RISING FAST!" 

"GOT IT!" Smidge responded as she handed his goggles back to him. "TELL POPPY TO LIGHT HER HAIR WHEN YOU'RE READY OKAY?"

Branch nodded and turned to face her and the snack pack. "WHAT'S HE DOING!?" Creek shrieked as he watched Branch back up towards the cliff. 

"WE NEED TO SAVE POPPY! WE'VE GOT THIS!" Smidge responded. She grabbed Branch by the waist with her hair and lowered him down as the rest of her friends held her to be careful of the edge. He made it close to the root and after he grabbed it he tugged on Smidge's hair to signal to her to let go. Once she let go he adjusted to support himself on the root before he wrapped his hair around and lowered himself down. He had to jump to make it down to the bottom but while the debris sank briefly it supported him well enough that he had yet to be swept away. As he tried to inch closer to where Poppy was he slipped in the water. It wasn't as fast as it was before as the debris began to collect more at the end of the clog but it still managed to sweep him and he threw off the poncho so he wouldn't struggle as much.

It was closer to summer than spring but the water was still shockingly cold for Branch. He swam through the water as his body adjusted to the surprise dip. He fought against the current but his arm smacked against some wood which would definitely bruise later. The pain stunned him but he made a grab for another piece of tree and he grabbed onto it as it thankfully held and pulled himself up out of the water. Yeah, lecture of a lifetime for Poppy for sure. And her friends. He balanced much more carefully this time "Poppy!" He called out and she turned to him in surprise.

He pulled the goggles off from over his eyes "Branch!? What are you doing here!?" She asked in surprise. 

"Saving you apparently!" He chastised as he made his way over. The debris around him began to sink but there was enough surrounded around them that kept him from getting washed away again so he begrudgingly fell back into the water this time thigh deep. "Who the hell risks their life over a stupid hat anyways!?"

"It's not stupid!" Poppy squawked indignantly as Branch got closer. "Mr. Dinkels adores his hat! And how was I supposed to know the cliff was gonna collapse like that!? I wasn't even that close to the edge!" Technically she was very close to the cliff's edge, but the rest of the stuff that fell caught her off guard. She managed to grab at a root to stop her descent but when the supplies crashed onto her as well her hold on the root was ripped away from her as she fell.

"Why the hell were you even throwing a party by the cliff to begin with! Didn't I tell you there was going to be a storm later!?"

"Can we please save the lecture when we aren't in immediate danger!" Poppy yelled back exasperated. She was already done with this entire day. 

As much as Branch would love to release all the stress she's given him onto her she was unfortunately right. "I'm going to go see what your leg is caught on okay? Just try not to fall in." He slipped his goggles back on and after he double checked the night vision was still on he took a deep breath and went back into the water.

At this point he had gotten more tolerant of the pre-summer river and carefully made his way down as he pulled out a hunting knife. He saw where the banner was tied to Poppy's foot and swam towards it. She thrashed for a second when he touched her but saw the goggles and tried to relax. Branch still dove back up "I can see where you and the banner are stuck." he announced as he gasped for air. "It's gonna take me a bit to cut though alright?" 

"Right! Sorry Branch," Poppy responded with guilt for how she thrashed when he tried to help her.

"It's okay," Branch replied and even held her shoulder. "I'm gonna try to get you out of here. But don't move until I give you the all clear, I don't want you getting even more okay?"

The sincerity in his tone made Poppy choke up. As annoying as Branch could be sometimes he still risked his own life to rescue here. Since she didn't have any non soaked scrapbook material available she settled for a hug. Branch tensed for a moment but hesitantly wrapped his arms around her until he melted and firmly hugged her back. She wasn't sure if he hugged her back because she was scared or something but she didn't complain. Not when his hug felt so warm and secure. He pulled away and Poppy wrapped her arms around herself so she wouldn't chase his. "I'll be back okay?" Poppy nodded and Branched dived back in. Despite the fact she knew that Branch was next to her underwater and could literally feel him nudge her leg the fear and loneliness she felt before hand came back and she clung onto the thought of when Branch hugged her and wrapped her arms around herself even tighter to try and recreate the memory. 

Branch for his part dove back in with a new found determination. He analyzed what parts of the banner were stuck on her leg, along side some sort of string party decoration. He pulled out his hunting knife and began to tear at the banner. Not like she'd be able to use it anymore anyways. The string ended up being vine which was a bit trickier but he sawed away at it until it cut. He shot up for air then went back in to cut the other side of things. After some detangling and more cutting he managed to completely free Poppy's leg and urged her to move as he broke for the surface. 

"Okay, let's go." Branch pulled himself out of the water and turned to pull Poppy up as well. He grabbed her by her two arms and pulled her out. They fell on top of each other and the debris sank a bit but they managed not to get swept away. After he got up again Branch offered his hand to her and as she took it to get up, she hissed in pain and collapsed back down to rub at the ankle that was caught.

Branch immediately got down to check on it. Even after a feather-like touch Poppy hissed again in pain and shoved his hand away. When she realized what she did she looked extremely apologetic. "I'm sorry" she apologized, she was thankful the rain hid the fact she had tears that pooled and streamed down her eyes. This day just sucked. 

"It's okay," Branch responded as he took a step back. "You might have sprained it during the fall but I'm not sure. Let's just focus on getting out of here. Is it okay if I carry you?"

Poppy blinked in surprise before she nodded and with her consent Branch picked her up and swung her on his back piggy back ride style. The motion made Poppy giggle and she snuggled into him for body heat. "Uh... Smidge said to light your hair up when you're secure." Branch said unsure of how to react to how tightly she clung to him, or how she seemed to nuzzle into his collar. It made his face hot and while a little extra heat could do them both good it was beyond embarrassing.

"Right!" Poppy cheered as she seemed to recover her positive attitude. It was good she let go of the root otherwise she'd be in way too much pain to light her hair up, let alone help Branch. Her leg seriously hurt though. The debris shifted which made Poppy yelp and grip tighter onto Branch who tried to steady himself.

"Okay, we don't have time to look for another root so I'm going to climb up."

"With what?" Poppy asked in a panicked voice.

Branch took two weapons out that unhooked into, well, hooks. They were both about the size of Branch's arm. Both the blade, and the handle they flipped out of. 

"Woah," Poppy said with a small gasp as she watched Branch stick one into the side of the wall and use it to pull his way up. After a few hits they began to go upward and Poppy clung tighter. She remembered what Branch said about her hair and instantly lit it up so Smidge could see and extend it. If Branch would climb them out Poppy would help to pull. She could feel Branch's muscles flex in his shoulders and arms as he hoisted them up in the climb. The urge to talk to take her mind off the fear was strong but she shoved it down and focused on a hum instead. The sound and the vibrations she made in her skull helped sooth the stress that had built up since her fall. 

Branch grit his teeth in irritation as he tried to focus so the duo wouldn't fall to their doom but music tended to stress him out. Despite this he didn't tell her to stop. For one thing, he again, was a bit preoccupied, for another, he could tell by the melody and the tempo that Poppy used it to keep panic at bay. If it helped he'd endure so they could get out. 

Below, the debris shifted again and gave way to the flood waters. Poppy's melody stopped with a small gasp but she gripped him tighter and continued to hum. They definitely made it out in time. Branch could see the caked wall with his goggles but Poppy had to squint to try and make out her friends by the cliff side. A few minutes into the climb she could see a tuft of Smidge's hair stretched out. Poppy pulsated the glow of her light and with a deep breath, reached as far as she could. Smidge grabbed her and Poppy lightly tugged at Branch's arm "Smidge's got us! Get ready to be pulled!"

Headcanon for booze and drugs for Peter Lukas, Elias Bouchard and Simon Fairchild.

Peter Lukas: smokes weed mostly with Elias|Jonah not a lot though.Just enough to get giggly and feel chilled out and hungry. Sometimes smokes a cigar.

Drinks prefers single malt scotches the older the better, doesn't realize or think £1,000 is all that much to pay for good bottle of Scotch. When he gets to intoxicated to be comfy he goes into the Lonely, which sobers him up like a BIG COLD SMACK to the face. He doesn't get hungover.

Elias Bouchard| Jonah Magnus: in his long lifetime he's done nearly everything but stays away from hallucinogens cuz that's just asking for the Distortion to come and visit. As for drugs mostly prefers, cocaine and weed. Doesn't smoke as frequently as the real Elias but enjoys the floaty mellow hazy feeling of weed and can smoke A LOT. But Cocaine is his weakness, he has a coke nail and gets the purest highest quality nose candy (beholding side benefit) from his dealer who has been doing this for twenty years and can't quit.* Also a fiend for booze, the beholding gives him a high tolerance which means he can toss them back with the best of them. His cocktail of choice is a gin & tonic but no lime, with an orange twist and orange. bitters. There are some LIMITS though to the tolerance and getting cross faded as lead to him blacking out…and having SEARING STABBING PAINFUL HANGOVER. The Beholding shares all the embarrassing details of what he did the night before when legless. Now, note this he rarely lets his hair down and parties, like four times a year but when he does HE GOES HARD.

*his dealer can't quit because Elias will tell the police everything if he does. Poor man really wants too but well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Simon Fairchild: Also over the centuries has sampled mainly drugs but has found most of them boring or tedious. Doesn't like 'shoving things up his nose' or 'anything derived from the poppy'. What does he like? Well strong cocktails especially Aviation cocktails, he likes champagne and mimosas and he likes a nice wine. He also likes weed as well all strains, feels the mellow floaty apathy it produces in him… connects him with his patron more. As for that THE VAST gave him VAST tolerance… if he feeds it, if not he's sloppy after three drinks. Because he's MOTHER-FUCKING SIMON he does what he wants and just sort of chills and visits amusement parks to check out the roller coasters wink.

Sneak peek: Roller-coaster ride

Mid day arrived, tsireya brought tuk back from their little adventure. Tuk managed to collect a lot of shells, many rare ones too! She was ready to share them with her family until she saw someone at the distance. Someone very familiar until it hit her. 

“POPITI!?” 

Without wasting a minute, tuk ran at full speed, ignoring tsireya’s words. 

She sees popiti doing the same, in the middle of the shore, the two best friends are reunited after a year of not seeing each other. 

“Poppy!! I missed you so much!” tuk cries out. Poppy being her bestie's nick name. 

“I missed you too ticky!” popiti replies with so much emotion in her little voice. They hugged each other so tight, scared to think this was a dream, that it was not real. But it was, it was real. 

“I'm so happy you are here! But how…?” tuk couldn't help but wonder. 

“Silly! Did you forget my dad came here? Uncle jake asked if I wanted to celebrate my birthday with you and of course I said yes! So wala!” popiti replied. Never in her life had she shouted a yes until Jake did ask. Tuk was so glad she did. Another year they can share their birthday together!

“Oh! And to make it better, tocky gave me this so we can watch it together!” popiti took something out from her little bag to show it to tuk. And boy did tuk gasp so loudly. 

“LILO AND STICH!?”
