Doctor Sawyer who reunites with his kid

Okay well don’t you just have the funniest family history!!

What happened was, when Sawyer found out he got his gf/wife pregnant(or jst a random lady idk😭) he was very mixed about it. Yes, he had thoughts about being an actual father, he knew he couldn’t help raise a child..in an orphanage WHERE THEY TURN THEM INTO TOY MASCOTS MIGHT I ADD?

So he was saying this in the kindest way possible, he was like

“No thank you.”

And she was like,

“Okay you ############, you’ll never see your child ever again then.”

And then she broke up or divorced him and took you into her custody, raising you as a single mother.

As you grew older you obviously wanted to know more about your father, but all she’d say was that he was a deadbeat and chose his job over his family. Which, you could understand her frustration but I’m reality, you wanted to know more than what he did wrong. What was his job? What’d he do that was so important? Was he a cat or dog person?

So once you were in your rebellion era/chapter/point in time(teenage years) you decided to dig deeper into the whole situation and go through everything your mother had owned to see if you could find any clues about him.

A few pictures of him and your mother were all you found but one photo had something you couldn’t miss.

It was him in a scientist coat with a name tag that said “Harley Sawyer, scientist of Playco.” Playco? Like where Huggy Wuggy came from, where Poppy Playtime came from? He worked there?

Honestly you’re kinda like a horror movie protagonist because the next thing you had planned was to go to Playco.

“20 bucks you won’t do it.”

“Bet.”

Boom. Now you’re at Playco, and searching for your dad. You eventually heard about the rumors of what happened to all the missing employees there but you couldn’t care less, all you wanted to know was how your father was. Or to know if he “died” with those employees or not.

And that’s where the start of Chapter one begins<3

Everything was normal(well as the chapters go), you “killed” Huggy Wuggy, you killed Mommy Longlegs, Catnap, Miss Delight, then you meet Doey. You think he talks and babies you way too much. “But you’re still just a child.” Plz shut up bro-

Then returning back with Poppy, she and Doey talked about the doctor, and they mention the name Harley Sawyer. They want him dead. And they want you to kill him, obviously you said you wouldn’t do that. Because you’re just the sweetest lil son/daughter ever<3

It’s not like you’re about to tell them that he’s your FATHER. They’d probably would also not like to know that also but anywho. You decided to not let your pride down and reluctantly agreed to kill the Doctor.

So much for being the sweetest ever.

But oddly enough, you’ve actually haven’t seen the Doctor or talked with him yet, only his minions Baba and Yarnaby.

Walking down the hall you used your Grabpack to open the door, you walked through it and suddenly felt something grab you. It was a robot figure with their head as a TV and it grabbed the back of your shirt, holding you so you had to face the voice that was speaking to you.

“Out of all the beings in this world it had to be you that has ruined these creations. My very own child.”

“Huh..?”

“You’ve grown so much from last I saw you, which, was when you were a mere baby. Yet I can’t help but feel angered by your presence here.”

“You're her husband? You’re going to kill me?”

“I would if it was any other child scurrying around this facility like a rat. I have no shame. Yet, I’ll let your mother do that herself. She’s treating you well, yes?”

“Mhm.”

“Good, now leave. Do not come back, and leave Poppy and Doey behind you in your life. Pretend this was all a dream. Goodbye Y/n.”

The last thing you saw was the robot throwing you out into the hall and the door slamming shut, that was awfully awkward. You smacked your head in realization to everything, how he openly admitted that you were his child. And how you couldn’t think of anything meaningful to say.

But should you listen to him?

General [Platonic] doey x player reader

Every time I type Doey it turns into Dory which makes me cry

I think despite whatever age you are he’d be like an older brother figure towards you, wanting to set the best example and prove that he’s responsible.

Like how if he notices you’re pushing yourself too much, whether that be physically or mentally by Poppy or yourself. He’d step in and demand you to take a well earned break.

Never goes too in depth about what happened to the orphans in the past of Playcare, even if it’s somewhat tmw he’d rather you not feel guilty or worse for not coming back sooner and potentially saving the children.

If it went his way, then you wouldn’t need to leave the Safe Haven at all. He takes the initiative of being a role model for you so technically if he was being responsible. It’s mean you could just spend time with all the experiments in Safe Haven because leaving is dangerously rash.

If you ever feel ill or are hurting somewhere on your body, prepare to be pampered good lord-

Snacks(the ones he has), water, plushys, toys, comfort, you need it and he’ll go get for you if he can. He’ll even let you wear his hat if it makes you feel better.

He’ll make sure that you’re always looked after, whether that be Kissy or Poppy making sure you don’t get into danger while he’s gone.

And when returns he’d playfully say, “Hopefully you didn’t miss me too much pal!”

He’d definitely be down to do anything fun with you, no matter your age! If you were on the younger side he’d be more animated about it(and would probably let you win.) But if you were on the older side he’d be more competitive and serious about it.

Overall generally just like an older brother figure❤️🧡💛🩵

Doey with a reader who is a perfectionist

Big dough man was, well obviously learned about you from Poppy. She told him how perfect you were. How you did everything perfectly and without flaw.

He was quite surprised but also intrigued by you because Poppy never really gave him such a high stander for anyone in the facility.

He started searching for you, and eventually found you trying to escape from Yarnaby. He let you know of his presence quietly and lit a small fire to drive Yarnabys attention away from you so you could escape without the possibility of being harmed.

Once you finally came into contact with him he acted as he normally did, he still couldn’t trust you all that much but he wanted to believe in Poppy, believe her words that you truly were here to help(you weren’t, you just wanted to go home😐)

After some 1 on 1 time with you he started to notice the oddities about you as a person. How you wouldn’t let anything within your path be dirty, wiping even the smallest piece of dust off a toy whose life was long gone already. Or, how you’d restart a whole puzzle if you made a fixable mistake in the midst of it.

He thought your way of doing things was odd, I mean. He doesn’t believe making sure the chain is connected to the door perfectly is necessary. He thinks a lot of the things you do are unnecessary actually-

But the souls inside the toy just believed that those little habits were just small quirks about you.

“Safe Haven is right ahead..I’ll have Kissy show you around.”

“🙂, 😐, 😦, 😧, 😬.”

He noticed your reaction and gave a playful giggle towards it, mentioning how it wasn’t the cleanest because he didn’t have the time TO clean it.

You immediately offered to do it for him, it wasn’t that you were upset or angry with him, it’s just that you yourself couldn’t stay in a place so messy without wanting to bang your head against a wall.

He denied, of course. He didn’t want you cleaning after him and the others but you insisted. So instead of putting more attention to that subject, he switched it and brought you to Poppy where she’d speak more on what the plan was. But before she gives you more tasks to do, Doey suggests that you take a rest. “You’ve been working too hard and you’ll get too tired to do anything else,” he’d say.

Poppy, thankfully, was fond of that idea as well. She also told Doey it’d be best for everyone in Safe Haven to rest too(something they can finally agree on💀)

You were hesitant because since you’re down here already instead of where you’re actually supposed to be to be- cough cough home cough cough chapter 2 ending- and you just wanted to get all this mess fixed up as soon as possible.

But you had really no choice on the matter, you were afraid of going out in the danger again without a partner to go with. So just following what Poppy and Doey say are you best option.

Though while everyone was resting, you just couldn’t seem to do so yourself. You just couldn’t fall asleep somewhere so meet, not when someone could actually do something about it and clean it.

So that’s what you did, you spent the whole night cleaning and throwing trash away to the best of your ability. Even if something seemed impossible to clean because of how dirty it was you didn’t give up because it just felt wrongly to leave something imperfect.

You even took the time to wipe off any and all dirt off of most of the sleeping toys. Gently using a wet clothing to get them clean again.

Once everyone awoke the toys were pleasantly surprised to be cleaned, like they just took a “shower” but as a toy.

Doey was actually quite saddened by what you did, don’t get him wrong though. He appreciates it truly, but the result was that he didn’t get to help you and that you didn’t get a wink of sleep.

Matthew was the most worried about your habit of making sure everything’s perfect. He’d remind you that even if the thing wasn’t flawless that it could still serve its purpose. He doesn’t like when you insist on working on something past evening just because you don’t think it’s good enough, he doesn’t like that you don’t you’re good enough. In the end he’s try his best to reassure you that you’re doing the best you can in this situation, and that’s all that matters.

Kevin thinks your mindset is just plan unnecessary. Like, why are you brushing kissy fur until she looks brand new? She’ll get dirty anyway. What’s the point? He doesn’t see why you do the things you do, but once he gets slightly closer with you, he starts to get used to it. He wouldn’t find that concerning because he hasn’t talked to many actual people since he got transferred to Doey. He wouldn’t know what’s concerning and what’s not unless you were just psychotic. Which, you weren’t(maybe, who knows🥳)

Jack is more playful about the whole thing tbh. He thinks it’s funny how you rush around to make sure everything is in order. But he gets somewhat whiny when he asks you to draw a picture of Doey or Poppy and you throw a hissy fit because you drew an imperfect circle for the head, or it just doesn’t look like the Mona Lisa. He giggles when that happens, he doesn’t mean to but when you actually get really upset he worry’s and holds you hand, then tells you that you did good.

It was a peaceful day in Safe Haven(or as peaceful as it could be), which soon turned to nighttime and all Smiling Critters started to try and get rest.

You were currently on a little side quest to collect Kissy some new bandages for her arm because well, Safe Haven kinda ran out of them.

It was a quick trip but once you returned it seemed the whole demeanor changed, from bright and colorful, to dim and silent. You thought Safe Haven was cuter with only the fairy lights on.

All the other toys including Poppy and Kissy were sleeping in the small tents except for one.

“Hello Doey..”

Doey was sitting on the ground watching the paintings on the walls by all the other toys, he was clearly happy to see you were fine but seemed slightly solemn.

“Oh! Hiyaa pal, that was thankfully quicker than what I thought you’d be.”

You sat beside the toy as he explained what he was doing, “I was just looking at these drawings..you know.. These aren’t just paintings, they’re memories. And they’re cries for help, therapy for the experiments minds. It’s just depressing really, but you, you. Can save them, and I know it sounds hard and tedious but-”

He was interrupted by a small cool feeling on his arm, when he looked down he saw your hand resting against his doughy skin(that sounds odd).

“I think you need to rest too. You look after others too much, it’s sad.”

He’s never heard your voice much, only quiet responses to Poppy and uncomfortable greetings, so it made him feel special when you expressed your emotions on his actions.

He told you it was fine, he’s been doing it for so long so he doesn’t mind. But you had other ideas, leaning your head on his side you quietly reach your hand out for his and hold it gently. Your touch was so light he could barely tell it was there without looking at you do it yourself.

“I think..I might nap. I’m tired of everything today.”

He’s never heard stared at you for a moment before smiling softly, he was glad you trusted him so much that you’d willingly take a nap while leaning on him.

“Alright..sleep well then Y/n.”

He wrapped an arm gently around your shoulder, he couldn’t just deny you comfort when you were tired and were falling asleep, so now he’s obligated to not get up.

It’s like when a cat purrs on your lap and now you have no choice but to wait until they move til you do something else(you know what you’re doing).

By the time you woke up you were pleasantly surprised to see Doey lying on the ground with his arms around you, in a firm yet comforting hug.

Jack was ecstatic, he hasn’t felt cared for by another person in so long. And to have said person fall asleep by his side just made him want it more.

Matthew was glad, he was glad that you were getting rest while also caring about Doey. He never thought any of the scientists cared, but you weren’t a scientist, just a past employee so he figured you were just nicer than the others.

Kevin did NOT give af and I’m leaving it at that(he almost cried from comfort).
