THE WELL Doctor Who review thing :D (MAJOR SPOILERS!)

Hi everyone, Mel here!! Sorry for the silence over here, I've been a bit busy lately, I don't really want to get into it at the moment though..

Anyway! A bit different from my usual posts today, some of you might not know but I'm actually pretty into Doctor Who, and there was a brand new episode yesterday! So I thought I should post a review of it! : D

Now, this DOES contain major spoilers for The Well, so PLEASE, if you want to watch it, watch it before reading ahead!!!!

Hopefully you've seen it now and MAN what an episode. First off, really good acting. This goes for all the recent episodes tbh,,and that twist, MIDNIGHT IS BAAAAACK BABYYYY WOOOOOO and they executed it PERFECTLY! I enjoy that the midnight entity seemingly changed it's approach cause of it's previous defeat, it shows that it's still an intelligent creature. I also think that the fact nobody knows what Earth or Humans are is very ominous. Has me excited for the season finale though! And that Mrs. Flood appearance is also quite interesting, I HAVE to know what she's gonna do… And the actual ending. God. Amazing way to end it, it's not 100% confirmed if the entity did escape and is now in that ship, but it leaves you thinking. What if? 10/10 episode, no misses so far this season. Excited for the next episodes!!

URBAN LEGEND 6: Killswitch

Real throwback here, it's another urban legend about an actual video game's existence!! So, pretty much, the story went that this game was made, only 5,000 copies released, and that when you died in game, it deleted itself from your system entirely. It also had 2 playable characters, but you could only complete one because, y'know, deleting itself. Seems like a pretty stupid idea to have 2 routes, but only let the player do 1 lol.

OPINION!!

I mean, it's good and all I don't HATE Killswitch, but I don't really have too strong of an opinion on it. That's really all I've got to say on it.

VERDICT

Not real, it's a short story published in "The Melancholy of Mechagirl", which is just a collection of short stories. It does have fan-games recreating it, so technically it's kinda real? But it's origin in the story is false.

Decided to get a screenshot of just the game this time. Also, I'm not making this up when they renamed it to god damned Walkway Zone. "QUICK! What do we name the bridge zone knockoff?" "Oh yeah let's call it friggin' WALKWAY ZONE."

Small update, I opened the game in Fusion emulator, and it's basically just a recolor of the SMS Sonic 1, I'll play through it to see if anything different.

I suck at this game so it might take a while.

I found a rom hack or a bootleg or something on a weird rom website. The game is titled Bluski's Wonderful Quest and it looks pretty weird. Don't worry, I already scanned it for viruses, there aren't any. Maybe it's worth checking out?

Now this one is a weird one. I haven't been able to find ANY information on this, so I did some digging. I found a romsite with the game, and while I didn't get a screenshot as it may be a virus, (making sure not to trust anonymous users on Tumblr lol,) I did save an image of the box art

Now, this looks... weird. The quality here isn't good enough to be box art. Also, this is just a recolor of Sonic with a bowtie. Not really creative there is it?

Since I can't find any information on this, I'll post my findings on the game here! Nice to help out yknow?

URBAN LEGEND 5: The Freezer So this is a legend from Saints Row 2, and this one is your basic run of the mill "Oh if you clip out of bounds here and walk for a while, you'll find a secret!", but this time the secret is a mysterious humanoid thing that freezes your game when it gets too close to you. Except unlike those other rumours, it's an actual thing in game, you can actually find The Freezer in Saints Row 2. OPINION!! I LOVE The Freezer, there's something so cool about the fact that this thing that sounds like it should be a creepypasta is real! I just don't know how else to express how cool The Freezer is lol. VERDICT 100% REAL, and super cool too!!

URBAN LEGEND 4: U R MR GAY

Ok, this one is simple. If you read the letters with little shines on them in the Super Mario Galaxy logo, you would see the letters "U R MR GAY" or, "You are mr gay". Simple as that.

OPINION!!

I think about this one a lot to be honest. It's just really funny, the thought of someone at Nintendo making this logo and deciding to "hide a hidden message" in it for no reason is just so stupid. Especially with it saying the reader is "Mr Gay" like its some kind of playground insult lol.

VERDICT

It's real, yes, but I highly doubt the message was intentional, even in the slightest.

hi mel, I don't think many people talk about this thing but it's quite funny in my opinion, I don't know much about it, but basically there was this game called paccie and apparently it's basically a ripoff of pacman and it's lost media. Again I don't know much about the story but I find it really funny

URBAN LEGEND 3: Paccie

Paccie is an urban legend(?) of a game that was supposedly a ripoff of Pac-Man, made by Phoenix Games. The game is infamous for the box art, (how could it not be, it's the only remaining piece of the game lol) showing a green Pac-Man next to a purple apple. It looks pretty ugly, but this can wait for the next section lol! Apparently the box art was stolen from a ray-tracing competition, which Phoenix Games is known for doing.

OPINION!!

Personally, with how little info we have on this, I don't really know what to say lol. The green Pac-Man has ugly textures, also, why does it have teeth haha. I don't know what else to say, we only have the box art after all!

VERDICT

Nobody really knows if it existed or not, but one things for certain. If Paccie existed, it never got past the production phase.

URBAN LEGEND 2: FNAF 2 Stingray

Stingray is an urban legend about this virus version of FNaF 2, (funny this is urban legend 2 lol), where after you beat night 5 you'd apparently get this weird eyeless Chica jumpscare then get jumpscared by the Puppet. After that apparently you just got all your data hacked, pretty weird right? Anyway, this was disproven because the Chica image was from Ultimate Custom Night, and the virus was allegedly from 2014, their bad lol! However this version was apparently based on a real virus, crazy right? It still stole your data, but opening any sms apps made it display an image that was like "nuh uh!! you're being hacked haha!!"

OPINION!!

Stingray is an interesting concept, and although it just sounds like a bad creepypasta, I really like it! The eyeless Chica thing jumpscaring you with the Puppet following a minute or two later to steal your data is kinda scary, I don't want my data stolen anytime soon!

VERDICT

Unless time travel is real, Stingray is a fake urban legend. However that doesn't mean that it's all fiction, as it apparently has basis in a real virus.

URBAN LEGEND 1: Polybius Ok so, Polybius is a pretty well known story but I'll explain it still. Basically, the story goes that this arcade machine just showed up in a bunch of US arcades, and these men in black (not the movie lol!!) would show up and get some data from it for unknown purposes OPINION!! I think Polybius is really cool, I like the idea of this weird, possibly government related arcade machine thats collecting data for unknown purposes, and the way its kept pretty vague really improves it in my opinion VERDICT Polybius is pretty obviously not true, if this game was in so many arcades there would be some gameplay footage but there's absolutely nothing anywhere online. Unless some footage actually surfaces, Polybius is FAKE!
