Welcome to the Meriwether Manor Things like that only happen in stories. That’s exactly what Timothy and Jean Meriwether told themselves when they adopted Megan, and their new little girl started to move the faucet water with her hands. When she started to boil the bathtub water, and freeze the pipes. Their baby was different, she was special, and they were fascinated. Maybe there were more, and from then on they sought out to find kids with these abilities, with magic built into their bones. They went from orphanage to orphanage, searching for children like Megan. They expanded their house just to help them, to teach them to control their powers, shelter them from the cruel world that might never accept them. Welcome to Meriwether Manor, a home made for things that only happen in stories.

don't mean to burst anyone's bubble...but we're prolly gonna close down meri. it was dead for a long time, and we've suddenly got a bit active again, but in my opinion it's not gonna last long.
i'm not 100% sure yet, but me and Carol talked about closing earlier but i'll talk to her again.
yeah this sucks and i'm sorry. but i'll be so busy with work over break and Carol will be busy too i believe and we've got to cut the weakest link.
i'm really really sorry guys.
after i talk to Carol, i'll make the official official announcement.
sorry D8

Aaron Reid ◆ Age 20 ◆ Time Manipulation ◆ H. Christensen
Aaron has always been a reckless kid, doing anything to get his hands on a can of beer, even almost getting himself killed by a nose. Most people think he’s crazy for being so incredibly rash, he’d make a bigger profit that the guys at Jackass; and they’re right. Aaron has never accepted what he is. Instead of thinking of it as a gift, or a power, he thinks of it as a curse. After all, he didn’t have the happiest or simplest beginning to find out about his power. It wasn’t very complicated either. His dad was an alcoholic, he hit him and threw bottles at him as well as his mother, but Aaron was never a coward, and had always looked out for himself and his mother, a run-down weakling, taking two shifts at every job that he was hired in to take care of them both, giving her more than he ever gave himself. He was going to sleep one night, his eyes weighing more than his entire body, unusual for him because all his life he’d had insomnia, and when he woke up, he was in the past. He was invisible to all around him, but he cold touch and watch them, although not replay moments. He discovered that his mother had forgiven his father for cheating too many times that he’d lost count, almost killed him, and his mother had never defended him when he’d spat hostility and disgust at his son, neither did she defend Aaron when he hit her. When he woke up, his mother had arrived home drunk. His anger had taken over him and he slapped her hard, but he could never hate her. He could never forgive himself for resenting her, or her for betraying him deeper than anything, but most of all, the worse, was that he could not forgive himself for hitting her.
He ran away after minutes of staring at his mother’s shocked, disturbed face, leaving everything behind. He didn’t know how long it took for him to find Tim and Jean, but as soon as he did, he broke down. He went crazy and he told them everything in yells. They took him in, yet once in a while, he’d have his breakdowns and sometimes attempt suicide, break everything in his way, his anger at himself for not forgetting the fact that he hit his mother, for not forgetting his mother, he’d be strong enough to beat up the Hulk. He hasn’t had any of those breakdowns for a while, but the depression is still under there, under that layer, waiting to boil up. He covers it up with more layers, pretending he’s a natural asshole and inserting curse words as every second word, drinking more than his father but not at all once, of course, because there’s a chance he could have his breakdown. He’s the guy for drugs that you go to, but almost never does them in public, and although everyone thinks they know everything about him, they know nothing, even Tim and Jean don’t truly know him, never have and never will. He’s very cocky and befriends next to no-one, but fools most people into thinking they’re pals, although he’d kill that person without a second thought if he truly had to. And he holds a grudge against girls, treating them like whores and never sleeping with one for more than one night, and after that night, forgetting about their existence; they’re an object of sex, nothing more, nothing less, he doesn’t do small talk with them and if they don’t want to fuck him, well, fine, he’ll find another better than her. Who cares? He’s already forgotten her name. Very few people know of his power; he ignores the burden thrust upon him although he can’t quite control it, so it comes once  in a while, shoving more painful memories down his throat and tightening the belt to the little scrap of false sanity he has left.

Andrew "Andy" Burke ◆ Age 23 ◆ Resurrection ◆ J. Morgan
Growing up, Andrew didn’t have an easy childhood, really didn’t have much of one at all. His family was extremely poor, living in squalor. The pantry was never full, the milk was sometimes expired, and he didn’t have enough pairs of pants to last him the week. He and his two siblings worked nearly full-time to help out his parents, whose relationship was strained as it was regardless of other stresses, though they refused to divorce because of their Catholic faith. He worked at a small grocery store, owned by an African American, in one of the seedier areas of Boston. He made time to do school work when he could and he was naturally intelligent, but his job took most of his time and he took extra shifts whenever possible, often having to leave his younger siblings at home alone, which he was never comfortable with but he had no choice.
When he was sixteen he was asked to take the night shift one day in the summer. which meant working until midnight and then closing, and of course he accepted since he’d get overtime pay. That night, the store was robbed, and Andrew was shot and killed. His parents were told as soon as the police showed up at the scene. Two hours later, Andrew woke up, fully alive though a little sore where the bullet had pierced him - there was a small scar - and walked out of the hospital morgue. He showed up at his doorstep, not thinking about the effect his presence would have - he’d been dead, after all. His father answered the door and Andrew knew even as he tried to explain that it was a futile attempt. It was unnatural, that he was alive, it wasn’t Christian, and his parents were convinced he was some creature from hell.
Andrew was turned away from his own home, forced to live on his own. He discovered he was able to raise other things from the dead, too, though it was tiring, more than a little debilitating, and he needed a longer recovery period if what he was trying to bring to life was a larger life form. He was too afraid to try to raise a human from the dead. The Meriwethers heard of him when he took a cash-paid, secret job with one of the Meriwethers’ close family friends who wanted his old dog raised. The friend told the Meriwethers, and they convinced him to come to the manor. He was as bitter about his power as his parents, grew up thinking himself an abomination, but he has no love for Christianity, either, since it was that faith which cost him his family. Sometimes, when he was at his most vulnerable, he’d pray, but it wasn’t a common thing. He tried to never abuse the power, using it as little as possible, but its use spiked with his anger. He grew to become a counselor at Meriwether, looking to do some good with the power he’d been given.

When you begin to make more girls can you make a Milla Jovovich FC?
She's older, so if we did she'd probably be a counselor. But we'll see what we can do~ -Ali
