@thedailycampix So is there a ranking system for how good mercenaries are? And if so, how good are you? Do you have any mercenary role models?

“Now, what you’re describin’ there buddy sounds a lot like one of those.. rescue teams, I think that’s what they’re called anyways. 

Now, they’re all well and good and like.. they’re real stand up Pokemon. I have a lot of respect for them! But in the end they’re kind of like.. scared of getting their paws dirty. 

We don’t have ranks, we just have reputation. We got a pretty good rep to be honest, but that just comes from our high success rate and advertising.. it’s not structured like ranks!

 As for merc role models.. like we’re all competitors so as much as we might respect the occasional other merc we meet, it’s smart not to idolise them...

Emma: “Woah! Your fur is super pretty- haha..uhm.. OH right the question. Uh WELL, for us we’re a self employed band, so we just kind of decided to become mercs and then DID. We made a name for ourselves, advertising and building a reputation. Takes a lot of hard work for sure though, I guess it’d be easier joining an already established group though haha~!”

Charlotte: “It’s way easier when you flirt your way into getting jobs though, right?”

Emma: “H-Hey! Is it such a tragedy to use a little extra encouragement? ANYWAYS they asked us all a question.”

Jonathan: “Well, I decided to become a mercenary because I like helping..and I figured I might as well do it full time.”

Charlotte: “Okay then, mister good guy. I wanted to be a Merc because it’s exciting. You can’t get this kind of excitement by working behind a desk in some shop. Plus I've always had a pretty easy life, if I can help make other's lives easier and also get paid for it? No brainer.”

Emma: “Of course helping people is the biggest perk of the job! It’s always nice to see a happy face when we get them, but being.. known is pretty good too. You’re not just some nobody.. it’s good to feel like you mean something, like you’re wanted! The.. majority of the time anyways haha!”

What's the difference between Mercs and PMCs?

“A good question my blue buddy! The clue is in the name though! A Private Military Company is just that, military. Mercs however can be paid to do all sorts. You wouldn’t hire a PMC to go picking berries when you need to restock quickly.. things like that, the little things.”

"You got it baby. We’re mercenaries, so like, there’s tons of parts to our job. Essentially though, we get paid for doin’ things people want done. Whether people want personal protection to an event or fighting bandits attacking a village, picking berries or even wanting someone gone. That’s what we do!”
