i actually adore making new friends, i’m realizing... i was so jaded from depression and dysfunctional family/immense trauma when i was younger. i thought that everyone was ‘like that’ and life seemed unappealing and cruel. but there are so many creative, empathetic, and clever people out there to learn from and enjoy. it makes me more comfortable with the idea of moving far somewhere. i can make friends like a charming little bird when i’m unafraid. that’s the life that i want. one so full of unafraid-ness, laughter like champagne bubbles, the sweet warmth of skin... everyone/everything will not be nice and easy - who expects that? - but it will be tolerable, i will continue to be loved, i will continue to learn, i will teach others what i’ve learned, and life can be a slice of a beautiful storm
