I live for the moment Jeremy and Joshua finally reconcile. I imagined it in so many ways. There they are at Griffith Observatory, Noah's favorite place. Jeremy gazes at the city bellow, unsure of what to say. At his side, Joshua is a mess, lit cigarette in one hand, bottle of scotch in the other, bloodied knuckles and nose dripping fresh scarlet. It's awkward, uncomfortable, and... oddly familiar?

"Noah would've liked him," Joshua says, then takes a swing from his bottle. "Your boyfriend."

The lack of heat or disgust on Joshua's voice eases a bit of the pressure on Jeremy's chest. He smiled faintly, trying to visualize the Jean and Noah side-by-side. "Perhaps. Mainly because they'd just say "hello" and proceed to ignore each other."

"Bingo." Joshua says and clicks his tongue. He inhales a lungful of smoke, gazing the skyline in apparent thought. "He'd be proud of you."

Jeremy chuckles weakly, refusing to believe something so preposterous. "Would've he?"

Joshua puffs a plume of smoke in a long sigh. "After he was... gone, everyone changed. We became husks of our former selves. Except you." Joshua said, then turned to meet Jeremy’s eyes. "You're the only one who changed for the better. He would be proud of you."

Joshua stubbed out his cigarette on the parapet and upended the bottle on the hillside bellow. "I am proud of you."

At that moment, Jeremy felt a pain cross his chest, a grief that threatened to swallow him whole. "I miss him." he sobbed.

Joshua turned his empty eyes back to Los Angeles. "Me too."

Like girlie pop has one book to give us an adequate ending for all of that. I have faith... I do have faith... but Im really scared its misplaced
