Even before Tesla revealed the Cybertruck last November, other companies - both brand-new start ups and long-established automakers - had already announced plans for electric pickup trucks of their own. Ford, for example, released a video last summer of a battery-powered F-150 prototype towing - at low speed and for a relatively short distance - 1.25 million pounds of freight train cars filled with other F-150s. Even Ford admitted the truck was "towing far beyond any production truck's published capacity".
Most recently, Nikola, a company that makes hydrogen-powered semi trucks, announced plans for its Badger pickup. Nikola says the Badger will have a 600 mile total driving range, including 300 miles from lithium ion batteries and another 300 miles from a hydrogen fuel cell.

Creating viral marketing
The average person has 5 social media accounts, for which they spend 1 hour and 40 minutes every day browsing. That’s 28% of all time on the internet. Among the youth those numbers are higher. So, how should a business engaged a potential customer out of that pool beyond the traditional sales pitch?
Looking at effective businesses and how they engage customers. What differentiates your enterprises branding and accounting for often limited marketing budgets, how will they find you in the mobile age?
A pretty simple strategy: Do things in real life that warrant an unexpected reaction, capture it on photo, or better video, and then share it online. Tell a quick, entertaining digital story. Come up with things - in connection with your product or service - that will get a reaction out of people, turning on the camera, and capturing that reaction is digital dope!
Digital marketers try to create general, all-encompassing content for their clients. Creating a promo video showing the product, but the video lacks a narrative. Sure, it’s well-shot, it looks great and it’s professional, but nothing happens.
Take the opposite approach. Throw professionalism and quality out the window in order to preserve the thing that moves the needle: a surprising outcome.
Viewers / visitors of that social media content will remember AND associate that with your brand, perhaps share with their friends and give you what your strive for: ROI - in that case NOT return on investment but return of interest!

Described as "a senior official in the Trump administration," Anonymous offers a firsthand account of one of the most consequential presidencies in American history paints a chilling portrait of the president as cruel, inept and a danger to the nation he was elected to lead. The author describes senior officials waking up in the morning "in a full-blown panic" over the wild pronouncements the president had made on Twitter. The book depicts Trump as making misogynistic and racist comments behind the scenes.
“I am not qualified to diagnose the president’s mental acuity,” the author writes. “All I can tell you is that normal people who spend any time with Donald Trump are uncomfortable by what they witness. He stumbles, slurs, gets confused, is easily irritated, and has trouble synthesizing information, not occasionally but with regularity. The 259-page book - which is published by Twelve, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing/Hachette Book Group, goes on sale November 19th 2019. You can pre-order your copy - this item will be shipped to Mexico - here.

In 2006, New York City designer Ari Saal Forman dropped a limited run of Menthol 10s, a one-of-a-kind sneaker that drew inspiration from and took a shot at Nike and Newport. Written right there on the tongue, Ari explained that the shoe was “dedicated to the two brands that have taken the most and given the least.”
Once the companies got word that the shoe was out, they did everything they could to get it off the market. Ari wound up getting a cease-and-desist letter from Nike and facing an aggressive lawsuit from Newport.
To this day, he’s not even legally allowed to own a pair. VICE met up with Ari in Manhattan to hear the inside story of why he made the Menthol 10s, and why he took on a legal battle in the name of conscious consumerism.

Facebook larger than census
The Wall Street Journal reports Facebook measurement metrics face scrutiny again after a research analyst found the social network’s advertising platform claims to reach millions more users among specific age groups in the U.S. than the official census data show reside in the country.

Facebook told potential advertising partners that it could reach 41 million 18-24 year olds in the US. However, according to official US census data, there should only be 31 million people of that age in the country.
Facebook’s age data is based on what users report when they register, which may be inaccurate.

Users also might open multiple accounts, which could also contribute to the mismatch between the social network’s numbers and official government statistics.

Why videos go viral
When a video is shared online, and click numbers explode, part of the game is certainly also a huge amount of luck, too. Good quality and talent do not necessarily guarantee that a video or an artist receives the attention that's due to him.

Whether it's American band OK Go, German singer-songwriter Alex Diehl or icon Adele, they all have one thing in common: Their videos have generated millions of views across the internet. What are their secrets?
The basic elements of highly successful online videos are really just fundamental principles of human interaction, and you can apply to nearly any form of communication (especially marketing).
google_ad_client = "ca-pub-8733588191385036"; google_ad_slot = "6623693650"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 60;
While there's no way to guarantee that anything will "go viral," studying and applying those basic elements can significantly increase the impact, engagement, and sharing of the marketing pieces you're already putting together. Marketing is expensive, so you might as well make it count for as much as you can.

Brand on a personal level
Branding on a business-level is common, but today branding is becoming just as important on a personal level.

After all, you might work for a business that works with other businesses, but it’s people working with people and that’s what makes business relationships valuable.
