“The president Sarikaya has gone completely mad! He’s threatening to use the Metal Gear to launch an invisible nuclear strike on the United States soil, if the American troops do not retreat in the next hour.” She further explained the situation, which I could barely recollect.
Although being the truth, last thing I could remember was that me and my unit were watching the Metal Gear fend off the Peace troops, alongside the Turkish Army, the biggest and most dangerous one I had ever encountered, and a Gear Ray was already the most dangerous weapon in the world.
“I brought you back to life, because it’s not too late to stop this madness!” The next words which caught my attention:
“So you’re whom saved my life. Are you an expert of this or something?” I said, still incredulous at her remarkable skills.
“Of course I am! I’m the one who invented this operation!” She responded, striking me like a punch in the ducts.
I was reborn that day, to kill.

Chapter -1 Reborn to kill.
That wasn’t a good reason to drop my weapon but neither to point it to those whom saved it, so I lowered and at the same time let the doctor go, which he stumbled away, whimpering in fear;
“Thank you for trusting me. Now if you would follow me, we have a lot to talk about and not very much time” These were the doctress next words, it looked like I had no time to rest.
Meanwhile the soldier at my feet regained consciousness, slowly getting up, useless to say that when I tried to help him he reacted very aggressively, getting up-close to me, dead-stare in my eyes before enchanting some angry gibberish.
“Tell your man to get the fuck out from my face, before I snap his neck” I couldn’t stand his breath alongside his stare;
Once again as the woman spoke, the soldiers obeyed.
For some reason, everyone was following the lead of that gorgeous and young doctress, I was tempted to ask but for the time being I decided to play my cards right, I was still in enemy territory and in desperate need to recollect the recent events, feeling like a mice trapped in a maze infested with snakes. The doors operated on a password security system, following the woman I over sighted with the corner of my eye and it wasn’t hard to memorize the six number password.
“This way, please. I’ll explain everything” Had no choice to oblige.
The doors opened to a derelict pseudo-hospital, the waiting hall was filled with severely injured soldiers and civilians and the rest of the staff trying to keep them alive no matter what, but as I saw it, half of them wouldn’t have made it. Once I stepped out, everyone eyes was on me, like I was some kind of freak escaped from the circus.
“Do you remember our exact location?” She then asked, catching me off-guard.
But there was no use, trying to remember would only cause me unbearable headache.. so we kept walking through the corridors, until she broke the silence:
“As I thought. Don’t worry about your memory, they are not gone, you are simply looking for them in the wrong place. Simple therapy will be able to bring it back” She explained the memory loss to me.
At least it was releaving to know they weren’t gone. But it still wasn’t clear to me, so I asked on what she ment.
“There is no simple way of explaining it. Normally rehabilitation would take weeks, but we don’t have much time to spare. It’s better if I show you directly” She said upon standing side-way from another giant door.
I wasn’t sure what to expect so I decided to spare the questions, an indistinguishable malodor of a rotting corpse welcomed us once we got through the doors, a second operating room that would’ve been identical to the former if not for the second adjacent table hosting a body, covered entirely by a blanket, the doctress then got close whilst I stood to watch.
“Please, promise me you’ll be strong. I know you are” She was preparing me, but for what? Whilst slowly uncovering it.
And so step by step I got closer, a strong feeling of tension overwhelmed me, it was even difficult to get my legs moving once further close..
“For what exacly..” I said while approaching the table as she finished uncovering the corpse.
And what I saw.. was something that no soldier should ever see with its own eyes, himself lying in pieces on a cold table, destroyed and shredded to a point which he didn’t even look former human.
And my mind went blank just upon seeing such a horrible sight, I couldn’t just process the event, everything was unreasonable.. how could I just be standing on the side of my own dead body? Half of me was just gone, exploded away.. my rotting organs on the table, blood spilled everywhere and my only remaining eye left staring horrified to nothing.
“I’m sure you are familiar with the replicating operation..” She then broke the unbearable silence
“What on earth..?” Were the only words I could only speak.
“I know this is difficult, but please! Be strong! There was no other way of saving your life than this!” Then she replicated, making a step back from me.
There she was at it again, getting scared as losing all her confidence. Me in the other end couldn’t stop staring at my own corpse, still processing the whole situation: “replicating operation” she had called it, the name ringed a bell in my brain, but once again there was no way of remembering anything at all.
“What did you do to me exactly..?” I unwillingly asked.
She looked straight at me, a dead cold stare, sending shivers down my spine, so she turned around and grabbed a small mirror, looked like she had planned all of this, gave away her whole personality, deeply in contrast with the positive persona she was showing to me;
“It’s difficult to understand, but I’m sure that your AntiMetal-Gear Unit has already heard about the Tuskish Kopya Units” Then she explained, walking towards me.
The AMG Unit, my unit.. a platoon composed of about thirty soldiers, five in each unit, the very best the American army had to offer, deployed in search and destroy missions to sabotage Metal Gears threats around the world, but it was all I could recollect. The Turkish Kopya Units were a whole different story, soldier minds replicated into Bio-organic artificial bodies; but of course, I thought till this day that couldn’t be that true..
But it wasn’t just a rumor.
“The Kopya soldiers are created from people which willingly accepts to train under the Virtual Reality system, to be deployed in battle as soldiers or in the streets as law enforcers, inside a soulless artificial corpse. I don’t know how to tell you this, but today you are reborn as the first VRless Kopya soldier, a true clone!” Then proceeded to explain, how in the hell I was able to see my own corpse behind different eyes, a crazy and frightening story that revealed to be nothing else but the truth.
In that moment she handed me the mirror, I almost couldn’t face it, but it was no time to be weak, so glanced over the reflection and revealed a horrible sight, it felt like I was wearing a dead skin to hide the monstrosity beneath;

Chapter 00 Clinging dearly to life
An explosion. An explosion is the only thing that I could remember, big and loud, feeling the percussions from the ground, directly through my muscles, my bones.. was I hit by a grenade? Could’ve someone finally put me at peace? I couldn’t tell, I was feeling no pain, I couldn’t feel anything at all and it was driving me insane. In my line of work i had taken many lives, a gunshot through the silence followed by the empty noise of a body falling to the ground, nothing else;
There wasn’t anything more certain than this on a battlefield, the second after the body touched the ground, to understand that a life had just been taken.. but for ourselves it was a completely different story, there was no way to know when ours would’ve been taken, and this weak thought, slowly slipping away, is what was driving me insane. Was I dead or not? I couldn’t open my eyes, my mouth wouldn’t spill the faintest sound and my body wasn’t responding, then I soon realized that I wasn’t lying dead, but surely neither alive.
Untill..
A weak beep pierced through my eardrums as if an M42 just fired a round in my close vicinity, it woke me up in an instant, making me realize something else, and it was that my mind and my body were drifting away in an endless void, which I could only refer to as death itself.
There I found myself clinging dearly to my own life.
Ironic.
The constant beeping was getting louder the more I grasped away from that void, I was trying to recollect the events that led me in that situation, but I couldn’t, most of my memories weren’t there anymore, it felt like I had just accidentally deleted a file, by mistake from a computer, something important gone missing in a blink of an eye, with no way of retrieving.
Just another nameless soldier on a battlefield, that’s whom I was but my mission, my allies, my goals.. gone;
And that fear of losing it all.. brought me back to life in an instant, and it hurt like someone tore me apart just to put the pieces back together, so I grasped for air and my eyes opened by itself in complete shock.. only to find myself surrounded by medical stuff, soaked in blood and armed men on the nerve, surrounding me completly.
“Welcome back to the land of the living, Mr.Wolfox” A female spoke, one of the doctors, with a calm but yet confident voice.
She knew my codename, but I had no recollections of her. So I jumped out of the cold steel bed in which I was lying, feeling countless plugs being pulled away from my back and the first thing that I did, was punching out cold the first armed man close-by, grabbing the rifle and taking one of the doctors as my hostage, they weren’t exactly looking trustworthy, and the woman’s Russian accent set me off to feel in danger.
“Nobody moves!” I shouted, pointing my guns towards everyone in the room.
They panicked, they felt as much in danger as I did, the soldiers immediately pointed their Soviet AK74s on me, taking tactical cover against anything that could stop a bullet, not exactly the reaction of any ally I’d trust with an inch of my life;
“Please, Mr.Wolfox! Calm down, we intent no harm!” The woman spoke again, I could feel the fear on her lips
But no chance I’d be listening to her, but I had to act fast, my body was weak, my muscles not responding coordinately alongside my own senses, the eardrums ringing ferociously to the point it was hard to understand the faintest sound and my eyes adjusting to light as if I had never seen it before.. I had to get out of there, so I immediately began to scout the room for the painless way out, it was an operating room alright, a bit too much outdated and colored in blood for my taste, but no windows, no air ducts and the giant security door on the other end locked firmly whilst the weird table which I had just gotten out, didn’t look anything like a regular operating table, it had wires sticking out everywhere, plugs and a computer screen flashing a big error on its side, the soldier themselves didn’t look like rookies, I felt like if I hadn’t done my move, I wouldn’t have stood the slightest chance. The doctress seemed like the only one able to speak English, everyone else kept talking in a language I couldn’t recognize anymore, even if feeling very familiar;
So my eyes directed to her and in that exact moment, one of the two remaining soldiers got out of his cover, to protect her with his own bodies:
“Who the hell are you people?!” I asked firmly, demanding an explanation.
That’s where the doctress gently shoved the soldier away, although being an vip by the looks of it, she had guts but at the same time seemed like if she knew I wouldn’t have shot her, whilst the other doctors seemed to not comply with her choice, mouthing her angrily, while looking towards me with cold eyes, longing for my death.
I didn’t like that stare, so I moved my rifle away from the soldiers, to the doctors:
“Ehi! Shut it and let the woman talk!!” Was my demanded, but it looked like they hadn’t got any of it.
There I noticed a change in her eyes the moment the attention was back on myself and with a smile on her lips, she began walking towards me.
“It seems that even after death, you haven’t lost your chivalry, Mr.Wolfox..” These were her next words, like in the beginning, calm and confident, before raising an hand and demanding for the soldiers to lower their rifles, I didn’t know at that point if they were to be trusted, but it was certain that at least that Doctress in charge, wasn’t an enemy.
“Death..?” I asked incredulous, basically confirming everything I felt to that moment.
“It also seems that you have lost memory, but it was to be expected. Exactly three days ago, you joined the afterworld for a short time. But it wasn’t your time to go, me and my colleagues brought you back to life..”
