This intro by Cassandra khaw feels like the same conclusion a lot of us came to, certainly I did. I’ll have to show the forward some other time because it’s sublime, there’s even a little section for looking at a daft he marked up at the end of the whole book.
To be honest I didn’t think that we would get genuine empathy in a retrospective about am. But it helps that she actually read the book but still
I never thought I would actually be able to own a hard copy of Ellison’s works without saving a good 300 or so. No words censored, all down on ink and paper

I like the idea that Ted just summons demons to yap at them, he needs a captive audience and he thinks that the demons are more trustworthy than the other survivors (they all definitely hate him) he does this instead of asking for anything useful

I couldn’t decide on if I wanted a completely natural skin tone for war, his horns are bits of armor fused to his skin but it doesn’t read sadge
All horsemen should not look completely human, they are concepts given form (of Nephilim) but war is the most human out of them. Famine pestilence and death all happen to the rest of the natural world but wars are much more abstract. Is fighting for territory a war?
