Something really short that's been in my mind for years and waiting to be written down. (Ignore the punctuation and grammar errors, English is not my first language, and I'm still figuring out how the punctuation in fiction works.)

You (the reader) are also a ninja – used to be in the Foot clan, one of the highest-ranked generals. After years and with help from the turtles you managed to escape and start a new life. You even found love in the most unexpected circumstances and the least expected person – at first your enemy, then a savior – Leo. However, being in a relationship with a ninja while being also a warrior yourself can be tough. Not many people have such experience though – being warriors, and mutants, risking their own lives, fighting evil, saving the world, and having the most fantastic and dangerous life one could possibly imagine. This isn't your typical relationship situation, and as such sometimes it gets really complicated – how can you navigate this and solve problems, when no one has ever been through something like this? Sometimes unusual relationships require unusual solutions.

I know we all like to say ‘when Leo makes a joke it means he’s stressed’ 

But LISTENNnnnnn

He’s got it cranked up so much in the movie.

He immediately undermines Raph, runs off by himself AND tries to grab the thing even when Raph CLEARLY has it.

He’s nothing but jokes and sarcasm during the entire first act.

But this is wildly out of character for Leo. Especially the running off on his own part.

The kid does not like being separated from his team. The best examples of this are in Portal Jacked! and Man vs. Sewer.

AND in Man vs Sewer, Leo takes charge immediately!

(and of course all the little moments sprinkled throughout the show of Leo being a good Leader but I think Man vs Sewer is the best example of ‘Leo’s gonna end up the leader’)

SO WHY IS HE BEING SUCH A LITTLE SHIT IN THE MOVIE?!

BECAUSE HE’S IS TRYING TO GET RAPH TO TAKE BACK THE LEADER ROLE!

Almost every time he’s goofing off in the movie’s first act he seems to direct it to Raph the most. He is actively trying to rile Raph up, to the point Raph actually goes after him with his mystic powers.

Because he doesn’t see himself as the leader, he’s the ‘face man’

And he’s terrified he’s going to fail his family as the leader.

So he’s trying to show them that by being an absolute nightmare child and hoping Raph will get fed up and take the leader role back.

(now with a continuation after I rewatched the movie with this hc in mind)

The day is almost over (in my time zone) and I just have to say that even if we don’t get more of rise, they went out with the biggest bang they could.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely want more and will never stop wanting more, but if this is it, they put their heart and souls into that movie and it deserves every ounce of hype and then some.
