Why would she not blame the giant monster for giant monstering in the middle of San Francisco?
Cate is seriously staring to annoy me. How do you obviously know the US military is shady and violent, but still blame Godzilla for the G-Day disaster?

succession is a great show bc a character will say that they sent more than a few liters of their own blood to someone and it's not even like in the top 3 important things that happened in the episode

okay listen I saw all these gifs about Syd and Carmy and I was like ye that’s cute and then I watched the show and I was DELIGHTED to find out that there are no romance plots. And also no romantic chemistry in that kitchen like come on. Maybe Syd and Marcus if you squint but mostly it’s just a show about a bunch of fuck ups trying to get their lifes together and finding community and I respect that pls never change, The Bear.

Season 1 Ginny was a coward who blamed everything wrong (with her own actions) on everyone else and lied to her friends. Cheated on her boyfriend and blamed Georgia for everything and was generally unlikable even when she had legitimate reasons to be upset. Ginny was all attitude and no communication and no accountability.
And I'm sorry I'm not one of those people who will excuse behavior just because of age or sex. If you're old to yearn and seek independence and individuality then you're old enough to be an accountable and self-aware young adult who operates in a world where other people exist.
I think Ginny in season 2 is written so much better. Because now we can see, hear, and understand her viewpoint and her struggle more. Ginny is able to express what is wrong or that something is bothering her. She takes responsibility for her own actions and is more empathetic as a friend and more open with her friend group. The problems with Georgia also have more depth and nuance added to each episode. They actually communicate and Ginny can confront what's bothering her to the best that she is able to.

I'm only two episodes into the new season but Ginny and Georgia is really good so far.
It's incredibly complicated because Ginny is going through a lot emotionally and finally dealing with her emotions instead of just displaying bratty behavior to hide herself. Ginny is getting the help Georgia never did, thankfully. She has a therapist and someone safe she can describe her childhood to. Ginny can explore her feelings and she has someone who can help her find positive ways to deal with her trauma - if Ginny decides to continue with her sessions.
Georgia is finally fed up because she has been through so much herself and for much longer. She's only 30-32 and has two children and comes from an abusive childhood. Georgia has spent her life in survival mode for herself and her children. She has learned to live in her trauma but never face/deal with it. Georgia cannot communicate her trauma and her decisions to ANYONE let alone her daughter because it's so much piling up over the years. Not to mention Ginny and Austin are children. They deserve the truth but are they emotionally and mentally able to process Georgia's truth? I mean, no. That's why Ginny ran away in the first place and doesn't prod Georgia for the truth. Ginny avoids having that truthful conversation about Georgia's past because she's not old enough or mature enough to understand her mother's trauma. Ginny is only a teenager.
And what is Georgia supposed to do? She already info dumped she was sexually abused as a child and ran away. Now she's supposed to tell Ginny things like she killed her abusive first husband out of fear, Austin's dad threatened to kill her, and Kenny was a sexual predator making moves on Ginny so Georgia killed him?
What is teenager Ginny and child Austin supposed to do with that information?
So nothing is being said or communicated between mother and daughter at this point because how can they navigate their trauma to connect with each other?

I'm so proud of Kit and her continued growth. This was her best episode I'm so happy about how she ended this season.

I would have loved it if we got more of Airyk and figured out what his deal is/was.
From the first episode, we can see he's not exactly taken seriously. He's seen as the flirtatious -maybe screw up- prince while Kit is treated with more dignity and more is expected of her as the princess. Sorcha's little outburst in the hallway during the banquet was telling as she lashed out at Airyk stating not to involve himself in things for which he had no understanding. Which I took to mean, the responsibilities of ruling/royalty.
That was the only bit of Airyk's character we have gotten in the entire series thus far. If the plan is to turn him evil then there's no real stakes of losing him because he's barely a character to the audience. Kit turning evil is more dramatic and gut wrenching than Airyk at this point.
I wish Willow had more than 8 episodes to work with. This is one of the few shows I believe could benefit from large episode seasons.
