“Gracious friend, you have been chosen to visit our lovely city… come to Wondrous Elsternwick, near the nexus point of the multiverse!”

No matter who, what, where, or when you are in the wider multiverse, you have received a fine written letter, inviting you to take a vacation to Elsternwick, a beautiful riverside town!

In this amazing place, Magic and technology have come together to make all sorts of fantastic inventions, and its proximity to the “Nexus Point” has caused all sorts of strange things to pop up in the nearby forest… you can choose to help with the research of these anomalies, go on adventures unrelated to them, go on your own journey to understand the bizarre things that populate these lands, seek your own fortune, or simply unwind in the beautiful town of Elsternwick as a place to relax! You’re free to leave and return home at any time as well, no strings attached!

The town is always changing with the seasons, and its many events, given all the strange things that can happen with the multiverse!

Given their pride, they have invited everyone, even rough types and villains are allowed in town! So long as they behave, of course...

Elsternwick is a Discord RP server, we allow all sorts of fun plots & events to happen, and there are many interesting places to visit and explore! ��All the while you’ll be having your own kind of unique happenings with your character, be they an original character, a fan character for something already else set up, or a canon character!

We’re a group that focuses on the lighter aspects of roleplaying (as well as crossovers), the fun and adventure that can come about from unique interactions in a wondrous setting, while also allowing for the potential of some more serious plots, and allowing you take your own pace in both reply speed and plot progression! We are also very laid back, chill, and friendly to practically everyone!

Seasonal and Story Events for every season! Both Seasonal and Story focused events happen throughout the year!

NPCs can be played by the moderator team, or even just regular players as long as they fit and can have fun stuff done with them! You can even promote an NPC to a full player character if you like them well enough!

Get your muse a job! Elsternwick is always hiring with many jobs, some simple, some complicated, and some inspired by places from across the many different universes! You can do these to help inspire threads, get rewards for your muses, or simply add flavor to other RPs!

“Dungeon Runs” of varying flavors semi-regularly, have your character investigate the mysterious ruins for the thrill of combat and loot! You never know what might be lurking down there!

“Expeditions” that take you beyond Elsternwick, to other towns, and even worlds beyond your own, and other places beyond your wildest dreams!

Dedicated dice rolling bot allows for combat with some stakes, and outcomes one might not expect! (Dice aren’t used for every action!)

Not a fighter? No problem! There’s plenty of odd jobs around the city waiting for you! You could also always help with puzzles and negotiations!

All formats of Roleplaying Accepted! (Text/Script, Paragraph, even long form!)

New areas and locations being added constantly, some depending on characters coming in, and some being “unlocked” for completing events!

Carefully, she listened, it seemed like hers, there was limits to the magic, it seemed like she could control the roots, but not actually make them grow or become bigger... good to know.

“Ahhh... I see, that makes sense I guess. They wouldn’t have much energy since they were just made, I guess>” The girl asked with a shrug.

“Still! Your magic sounds really neat and cool. I guess there are some benefits to focusing on just one... you could learn to do a lot more with one and focusing on it!” Aria had found that focusing on one school at a time did help her get better over time, as opposed to spreading herself very thin, after all.

Of course! Aria could always… well, not always, but with a decent chance of success tell when someone was uncomfortable, so a change of topic was very necessary, it seemed. Well then. onto plants!

Given some of Aria’s history, she was a bit mindful of plants. “And some can eat me-… yep! Like that!” Carnivorous plants that were happy to feast on unprepared adventurers. She quieted down and let Nettle fixate and share information about plants.

“I’m something of a survalist so I can tell what plants to not mess with, stuff like poisonous ones or ones that’ll eat ya… but you can just make them grow, right?”

Huh? That..actually snapped her out of it. Make them grow? Yes, she certainly could do that but not out of thin air. Or rather…perhaps she could but there would be no point in it.

“ I would need seeds for that or have another plant nearby. I can’t just create them…even if I could they wouldn’t last very long. “

Such a skill would be more akin to an illusion spell which she could do but seeing how she had mentioned that knowing more than one type of magic was illegal she chose not to admit that.

That change in topic was definitely welcomed. Thinking about the Emperor made her feel..unsafe. She knew that his Coven approached her parents once and it wasn’t a nice encounter by any means. Since then she worried that they might harm them because of her. It really was in her best interest to keep a low profile either way.

“ Yes plants are so fascinating! Not only are they a supplier of oxygen but are also vital to the land’s ecosystem! Especially, since we have many plants here that eat meat or even just chew their prey into smaller portions for other beings to consume- “

Ah yes, she was definitely focused on that topic now. So much so that she had completely forgotten that she was just rambling at this point.

“Emperor...?” A pause. Well, there’s already a huge change from her world. Mewni was largely Matrimonial, with Queens and Princesses being up on top. But Nettle’s expression gave her pause, she blinked, preparing herself for the worst.

“Hide it…?” … The girl frowned and gently placed it underneath her cloak. “Ah… well, it does whatever kind of magic I want to, I just need to use my imagination, but… really? You can only do one type of magic here? So the vine thing you did is all you can do…!?” Well, that didn’t sound terrible, but it sure sounded restrictive! Aria couldn’t imagine being stuck doing one type of magic, what if she was stuck in a situation where that one type of magic wouldn’t help at all?

“Is there um…a  reason for that? Or is ti a long story? Either way, I’ll listen. I’m used to hiding my wand anyway…” The girl mumbled with a sigh. “I can only practice with it around people I trust. If someone high up in my world saw me with the wand I’d be in big trouble.” Confiscation, probably being sealed, or worse, sent back to her own time period… it wasn’t good.

She was half right about that. Of course she could do more plant magic and perhaps combine it with other magic but that act was forbidden. The only thing keeping her from doing that was really just the law and secretly planning not officially joining a coven.

“ Not quite but…the Emperor says that combining different types of magic is against the Titan’s will or something. In fact, if you join a specific Coven the rest of your magic capabilities will be sealed away. “

Nettle explained rather bluntly, almost looking around for a bit just to check if anyone could be listening to them.

With a grin, she nodded and let Nettle go on and talk, she was very eager to hear the answer.

I guess that makes us alike, I’m a Magician, pretty much! I cast magic, a witch casts magic too… and I saw you casting a spell not long after I got here!” She said with a smile.

So everyone here… as long as they had a magic gland, could cast magic? Well, that certainly was interesting!  Only Mewmans with the royal wand could cast magic, and eventually, could cast spells without it. But these… they could just cast magic willy nilly? What a nice place!

The demons here definitely looked rather non human as well so perhaps both of their worlds did have something in common! Except for the magical capabilities and even those had it’s own set of rules. Although,..they weren’t here since the beginning.

Nettle glanced at the wand again, her expression darkening a little. That..could become a problem that was for sure!

“…I see but…you should probably hide your wand. Especially if it does..more than one kind of magic. It’s forbidden to know more than one kind of magic you know? “

The girl nodded, before tilting her head. “Wait… so this island’s built on top of a dead thing? That’s… interesting!” Despite this (kind of gross) revelation, Aria didn’t seem shocked. She’d been to numerous dimensions, so this was hardly anything bizarre to her. “I see.. that kind of makes sense.” The girl said,c crossing her arms and looking down.

“So I’m Mewman… what are you? I’m curious!” The magician asked with a grin

“I saw you use magic so I guess it’s more accessible here…” A different kind of magic, but still magic!

The concept of Mewman’s still intrigued her. After all, was there really a difference between them and humans? They both seemed so feeble perhaps? Maybe that wasn’t the right word but what else was there to describe her current theory?

Nettle tilted her head to the side as she heard her question, almost having to think about it herself for a minute. She had never thought of herself as human nor as a monster! At least not in the species sense.

“..I am a witch! There are demons too but..I think overall we’re all witches. “

Aria was humming and rocking back and forth, a big smile on her face, she was so happy someone was just so interested in both her and where she came from! Usually most other dimensional residents didn’t really care, but this… this was a nice surprise.

Blink, blink. She stood there and let Nettle touch her face. The Cheek Marks felt a little warmer than the other parts of her face, almost as if they could be a conduit for energy, if need be.

But! QQuietly, she nodded… and got a bit of a strange look on her face

“B-bile on my heart? Not that I’m aware of! As far as I know all the stuff inside my body is the same as a Hum-… well, maybe not a human, like I said we’re different species. We might have some other stuff inside but we definitely don’t have a bile attached to our heart…” Now Aria was interested in hearing about magic here! They… needed a special organ to cast magic?

She had almost been so absorbed in her need of learning more that she almost hadn’t realized how close she was to the other. Nettle promptly took a step away, trying not to make a huge deal out of it. She just..had to focus onto the task at hand!

“ Oh is that so? Fascinating! As far as I know the Boiling Isles are build upon the deceased body of the Titan…so I am assuming we just evolved that way because of his remains. “

Aria was looking at the side as she talked about how only a few people could have magic at a time. A sigh escaped her lips. “Kinda wish others could use it but, that’s just how it is where I’m from.” A shrug. “Oh well!”

She nodded, before holding out her wand, allowing Nettle to have a much better look. Oddly, it didn’t seem to have any source of power, at least on the surface, so whatever fuelled it had to have been on the inside, it seemed.  “Also! It changes shape depending on who holds it, so it’s like… um…” A weird face fell over her as she tried to think.

“Emp…Empathic, it’s Empathic!” She nodded in response. “So if you hold it it will change shape. It used to be a different shape for me, more like a chalice, but now it’s a more proper wand!” And this was after a little horse climbed inside…

“And not everyone has these!” The Girl said, pointing towards her cheeks, which displayed a pair of silver goblets. “Only those with magic where I’m from have these!” Which, of course, meant the royal family… and anyone who had been exposed to the radiation of the wand enough.

All of that was so fascinating! Such a strange artifact. Hopefully no one from the Emperor’s Coven would see her with that..or at the very least believe that it was just a mere toy. She might have to cover up the other’s ears though.

However, all that concern got thrown aside once the other mentioned  the marks on her cheeks. Without realizing how sudden and strange that might seem, Nettle leaned forward and placed her hands on Aria’s face.

“…Huh…is that so? So..does that mean not everyone in your realm has a bile attached to their heart? “

…!? A look of surprise, curiosity, and most notably, interest flashed across the girl’s face. This stranger… what was that? They drew a circle in the air, and vines caught it? That looked… suspiciously… like… Magic!

AS her eyes were fixated on the vines catching the creature, she was brought back to reality very quick by a question.

Human? Haha… well, she at leas tknew where she was.

“Ahh… Boiling Isles, I see!” … She’d never heard of such a dimension in her life. Oh well, new things.

Now, secondly…

“Human? No… close though, I’m Mewman!” She nodded in response. “We’re a lot like Humans but apparently we can do magic if we have something that can channel it.” The girl explained, shaking her head. “Might be some more, but yeah we’re… similar” Was that a good enough explanation? Aria didn’t quite know…

But! If there were more questions, she was happy to answer

There definitely would be more! As of now she smirked at the other’s words. She probably shouldn’t have corrected her. Because now she knew that Aria wasn’t from here at all. Humans weren’t a common thing here and neither were Mewmans!

“..Ah, is that so? You know…humans usually don’t come here and neither do Mewmans. It’s actually the first time I have heard of your kind. “

Objects to channel magic? Definitely different from them! Nettle wondered if that meant that the other’s organs were different too.
