New York Knicks
I have been a diehard Knicks fan for years, and last season was our first very successful season since I can remember. This offseason the Knicks made some very promising moves and built a very stacked roster. They are one of the top teams in the NBA currently and most analysts have them at 4, but there is one very big issue. They cannot perform against the top 3 teams. They are 0-7 against Boston, Cleveland, and OKC this year which is very very scary as a fan. For some reason, they just cannot put it together against the best. The Knicks have a star studded lineup with 2 All star starters yet can't seem to win. I am still optimistic they can turn it around come playoffs but one has to wonder if they can actually pull it off.

Colorado
I have been in Breckenridge Colorado with my family for the past couple days and there are a lot of pros, but also a couple cons. This is my first time ever coming to Colorado and to be honest I love it. My sister went to boulder and has a lot of friends that live in the surrounding area so it was only a matter of time before I got to visit. To start with the pros, it is absolutely gorgeous. The scenery is breathtaking and the town of Breckenridge itself looks straight out of a hallmark movie. The surrounding ski resorts are some of the best in the country and from the looks of it, its true. The food is amazing and most of the people are very nice. Now for the Cons, there aren't many but they're pretty major. The cost of living here is through the roof. Absolutely everything is expensive. Comparing it to South Carolina is a completely different situation. The infrastructure to combat snow storms and ice could also be a lot better in my opinion. We were stuck on i70, which is the only highway to breck from Denver, for over 7 hours which is absurd. I feel if there is a wreck its not difficult to clear a path, de-ice, and allow cars to move slowly but surely to their destination.

Super Bowl Halftime Show
I personally didn't care for the halftime show but I greatly respect the artistic aspect of it. I normally don't care for any Super Bowl Halftime show so it wasn't really a surprise that I wasn't too into Kendrick Lamars. I enjoy a lot of Kendrick's music but I don't think that he should have been performing, especially since he performed a disstrack? I just didn't think it was on brand for the NFL. I think that Lil Wayne should have performed since its his home city and it would have meant much more to most people, and it would have carried much less drama. I also don't think rappers should do the halftime show since a majority of it you can't even understand because its mumbling and low mic quality. I think it should be much more of a concert/show instead, its geared more to making the show look good on TV and they disregard how it looks in person. Overall I think the halftime show has been going downhill in every aspect since they started having rappers do it.

Superbowl
Sorry for not posting for a little while, but in other news the super bowl results are what everyone in America had hoped for! I have never been happier seeing a team lose than watching Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs lose. I hate the Eagles because I am a Giants fan, but I had to root for my boy Saquon. The Eagles absolutely manhandled the Chiefs, to the point the refs couldn't even do anything about it. There were some questionable commercials during the super bowl which I thought were funny but couldn't believe someone actually spent time and money to create them. Overall I found it to be a great outcome and couldn't have been happier to watch the Chiefs lose and watch that Cooper De'jean pick 6.

The NFL is rigged
Before you read I ask you take it with a grain of salt. This is speculation of course, not fact. I enjoy conspiracy theories and sports so this theory just combines the two. Now i say this after watching Josh Allen and the Bills lose to Patrick Mahomes for the millionth time. I am beginning to get tired of the NFL having a golden boy (Patrick Mahomes), and I hate that they make it so obvious. There were numerous plays in the game against the Bills where I was up screaming at the refs through the TV because it was just so obvious. The Worthy catch (should be interception) and the obvious conversion on 4th down by the Bills which was ruled a turnover because of the most blatant short spot I have ever seen in my life. Thats just the recent Bills game alone. I guarantee you can go back and watch film of every game and see two-three calls like those in the Chiefs favor. All that being said, the NFL is rigged for their golden boy.

Why the Gamecocks should have been in the CFB Playoffs
The South Carolina Gamecocks should have been in the new 12 team college football playoffs. They beat numerous top 25 teams, should have lost 2 games but had some questionable calls in the LSU game, and they were the hottest team in the country going into the playoffs. They beat a higher ranked Clemson AT Death Valley, yet Clemson still makes the playoffs because of conference. The college football committee needs to value strength of schedule much more than a teams record. Teams like SMU and Boise State should not have made the playoffs (let alone have a first round bye), and it showed when they both got absolutely trounced by real playoff teams.

Lacrosse Goalies
Being a lacrosse goalie is no easy task. You're the last line of defense, and every save counts. You face pressure all game, and though getting scored on is bound to happen, the key is to stay focused, stay confident, and always be ready for the next shot. Shots come fast, sometimes over 90 mph. In order to succeed, you need to Anticipate the shooter’s move and react quickly to make a save. As a goalie you also have to understand your angles depending on where the shooter is. Goalies also see the whole field, so it's crucial to talk your defense and make sure everyone is one the same page. Being a lacrosse goalie takes a lot of skill and focus, but it’s also one of the most rewarding positions on the field without a doubt.
