I knew when I came here that a month would fly by and that I was probably overly ambitious about what I wanted to accomplish while being here and working full time (albeit remotely) with only a week off at the end to do all the things I wanted to do. But on this trip I brought one of the last remaining containers of my mother’s ashes as I always said I wanted to plant a lemon tree with them in the garden of whatever house I’d end up in France.
