Last month, we had to spend a lot of money we didn't have on our cat snowshoe because he became very, very ill and needed hospitalized ($7k). While he is much better now, he now costs a lot more to take care of due to his kidneys. This means spending $80 for a bag of prescription dry food that lasts us 2-3 months, arthritis medication (for both cats), and prescription wet food ($4 a can). The only way we can get him to eat the wet food is to mix it with meat baby food ($16 for 12 jars. This lasts 3 days when it was only Midnight eating it.), which we were already doing for our 22 year old cat Midnight. So, it's gotten significantly more expensive.

The problem is only one of us has a job. We are both disabled. We've only been able to get by with people helping us buy at least the baby food, which if you'd like to do so, you can find it here on our needs list. We just need help until I can get a job or my partner can find something better. I have to go do my food stamps interview which would help significantly with affording the baby food, but due to the state I live in I'm not even sure I'll have medicaid for long, let alone food stamps.

We need some help

This past Saturday we had noticed our 17 year old cat Snowshoe has been acting off for a few days. He's a very skittish cat and old, so we initially thought his arthritis was bad due to weather. We ended up going to the vet on Sunday because he wasn't eating. We dropped nearly $400 but they didn't have answers for us, because it was the end of the day. They told us if he gets worse to take him to the vet ER.

We ended up taking him there Tuesday. He was extremely lethargic and not eating or drinking. We agreed to let him stay there overnight so they could try getting him to eat and do some X-rays and other tests. They kept him for two days (nearly $3000).

It turns out that he has a UTI. We brought him home tuesday and he was eating and drinking. However, Wednesday into Thursday (today, it's 6:25am as of this post) he hasn't eaten. He's drank a lot of water, but he's refusing to eat. He's extremely lethargic and not doing good. We're calling our vet when they open so we can get him in ASAP.

But this is all at a very steep price, especially with my fiance having to miss work. We still have another cat who can only eat meat baby food (she's 22) on top of general bills and being able to feed ourselves. Below I'm leaving my d0n4tion info, but I also have commissions open!
