[hol’-os] is a sequel to our performance [ˈdaːzaɪn]. We are reflecting on how we as communities respond to the way we increasingly interact with each other through devices, machines and media and how this ‹processed› information changes the way we perceive the world and the people around us. Recent events have accelerated the shift from direct human interaction towards virtual and digital communication. These changes can not only have profound effects on our physical and mental health, but also separate us from the people around us and make it harder to communicate sensitively and compassionately.

DRIP - audio generative Water- & Light-Installation from michaelias on Vimeo.

Drip is a audio generative Light- and Water-installation that experiments with the audiovisual potential of water and it’s elemental effect on human beings. Hard Light is pointed on two cast-iron bowls that are placed after each other inside of a dark surrounding and the water-surface is reflected on a white wall behind them. In a controlled rhythm water drips down from the ceiling into the rear bowl. The resulting concentric circles in the reflection are motion-tracked by a camera and generate sound. Through the use of an Exciter (Sound Transducer) this generated sound is transferred into the front bowl, where the reacting and vibrating water starts to create sound-reactive and hypnotic shapes and forms in the reflection on the white wall. XXMO is an experimental fashion and lifestyle label that was founded in 2015 in Innsbruck, Austria. Starting with the chapter eclipse it describes a dystopian saga that is built on and continued in the second chapter escape (2016.) The xxmo-universe expands and changes with everybody who wears or works on it. The goal of label is a critical approach to fashion and the fashion-industry itself. The conclusions are presented in continuous and conceptual collections. xxmo understand clothing as a form of message and create (textile) components that stimulate reflection and collaboration. These thoughtful, minimalistic and multifunctional products intend to offer individual adaptations to every body size and form. The pieces are produced in small editions and are most often unique. For patient people, xxmo also offers personalized and customised products.

COMO tu quieres - whoever you want is one part of xxmo, which stands for COllaborative + MOde (Fashion). The ideas are developed and produced collectively through the continuous exchange of like minded people, who are able to work both flexibly and independently. The label works interdisciplinary with NGOs (IT-Syndikat, Cunst&Co, Spielraum Für Alle, endlich*Store, dieBäckerei ... ), Start-ups and creatives in the field of architecture, film, literature, graphic novels, music, culture, science, (web)-politics, technology. Como is mainly about the joy of experimenting, self initiated learning through the combination of different methods, skills and perspectives. Finally, through collaborative exchange, como creates useful and artistic results that are a joy for producers and wearers with regard to both the environmental impact and the source of labourers.
