I had always just assumed that everyone in middle school did camping field trips but everyone not from southern california that i spoke to always seemed to be like ???? about it so looking back I had a very lucky middle school experience in that regard.

Looked at the school website and it looks like they're still doing it! I'm glad kids still get to experience the wonders of Arrowhead, Catalina, and Yosemite. Best weeks of my childhood tbh.

I grew up in southern California and every class in sixth grade would take a field trip and go to a camp for a week and this is absolutely bewildering my wife cause she's never heard of sixth grade camp
