okokok get so ready. we’re only gonna do america worldbuilding in this post but if u wanna know about smaller topics uhhh lmk.

so basically this takes place in present day america, but things went so much worse in the 2016-2020 trump presidency, we realized that we fucked up massively and implemented socialism to the governing system. this means medical care is free, taxes are much easier to pay, etc etc. this also included changes to the police/legal system. we haven’t worked out the specifics of what that means quite yet but basically major changes are being made to the way officers are being trained and educated, hopefully leading to more equal treatment of all groups. (i know that the police in general suck but they are in fact a large part of the story and this is still america so. sadly they aren’t fully abolished in this timeline) these changes are still being made across the nation, so some locales and states are more progressive than others, this specifically applies to blue states. so in swing states and red states. where the story takes place, the changes either are being made very slowly or aren’t being made at all.

that’s basically it for now!! i know the original post said it was a successful socialist state but it is gonna take a while for it to get there

I'm keeping an eye out for heat stroke in my area and I can't figure out what a full body flush would look like on dark skin since all the pictures are just fake training pictures. Anyone have video/pics of a heat stroke flush on black skin?

my hot take is that if we can all accept that teenagers do cringe shit online sometimes, we should also accept that they sometimes have really bad takes about politics or ethics. "im literally a minor" isn't a catch-all excuse for bigotry, but if a 13 year-old posts a bad take, that's an opportunity for education, not hate. and if that 13 year-old is 20 now? absolute dick move to bring up the bad take they had when they were 13.
