All the information that's coming out from the Democratic Party's internal polling and staff only makes me more infuriated by the minute.

They knew how unpopular Joe Biden was but still chose not to have a primary. They knew that campaigning with the fuckong Cheneys of all people would hemorrhage their base (along with all the other right wing pivots they made) and STILL pompous thought that it'd be fine.

Everything I'm hearing just further proves that you can't truly trust liberal politicians (esp the DNC) to ever change and get back to their working class party roots. That's gone forever.

I really can't see myself becoming conservative as I get older. If anything, I've become more leftist as I've gotten older. maybe it's because I was educated in a predominantly white, Christian area and saw how ugly white supremacy still lives. worked in sales where I made commissions off of people going into debt or bad credit for a dirty, used couch. my dad telling me how Fidel Castro fought for the Cuban people. or seeing friends not have enough food in their fridge and apologizing for it. those experiences are too hard to shake, even if I ended up rich somehow lol.

Like, the Democratic party is taking on policies they vehemently rallied against 4 years ago. They've completely stopped talking about police brutality. They barely mention climate change now (and even push for fracking now.) They're "build that wall" anti-immigrants now.

They took being against the death penalty off of their policies list, they stopped talking universal healthcare anymore, and they send billions of "lethal aid" to a genocidal state while "working around the clock to get a ceasefire."

The dems will always run toward the center and forget about the massive constituency of actual progressives. And when/if they lose, they blame the left for not voting for their right wing policies. So frustrating

This election cycle is giving 2016 vibes. And that's not a good thing. The one difference being that everyone knows Donald Trump's a shithead this time around.

But also, Kamala and the democratic party feels like they're throwing this election in the trash every time she speaks publicly. Enough with this centrist bs. Progressive policies are massively popular and yet they run away from them like they're cancer.
