8th June 2025: New Setting: Added the option to Unlock All Book Genres, removing EA’s mood, career, and skill restrictions—just like in Write Books Overhaul! • Find it under Notebook Settings. • Disabled by default, so you can play your way. Updated genre display names to match the new style: • Energized ➜ Action & Adventure • Playful ➜ Rom-Com Writing Competition improvements: • All competition genres now show up in their own dedicated pie menu under the Notebook (only while active). • No more scrolling to reread the original notification! • Competition notifications are now clearer and easier to follow.

Write Letters: Level up by writing heartfelt letters, or even apply for a job the old fashioned way; by snail mail!

Write Articles: Craft engaging articles, and if you're not totally tech-adverse, transcribe and upload them online, or sell them to a Freelancer Agency. Want to stay off-the-grid? Send them off to a magazine or newspaper for some extra § instead, via the mailbox!

Child-Friendly Section: Even younger Sims can get in on the action with their very own writing features. Now they have their own genres too, and can take part in the unlockable Writing Competitions!

Power Outages

Hey everyone,

My favorite mod used to be Flerb's Power Outages, but it was throwing out LE's and generally misbehaving. I tried to fix it, but ended up deciding it was easier to make my own! This is completely made from scratch, and works differently.

Your Sims can experience power cuts during storms (Seasons is a required pack), that can last for hours. They will have different buffs depending on their traits and lifestyles.

I've set the probability of a power cut during a storm to 20%, but there are (easy) instructions to change it in the attached readme.

Call Me, Maybe? (Beta Release)

Hey everyone!

Tired of random NPCs blowing up your Sim’s phone like they’re starring in a telenovela? Same. That’s why I’ve created Call Me, Maybe?, a brand new mod that finally puts your Sim in charge of who can call or text them.

This mod is now in BETA, and I’d love your feedback as it evolves! 💬

📱 What it does (so far):

Sims must exchange numbers before NPCs can call or text them. (I've left in the Grim Reaper call & Wrong Number calls.)

No more unwanted calls from random acquaintances, old flings, or that one guy your Sim met at GeekCon 3 weeks ago.

Block feature! If someone’s getting on your Sim’s nerves, just block 'em. Byeee! 👋

New “Exchange Numbers” interaction under the Friendly category— but be warned, the other Sim might say no!

If you have Get Together, the romantic “Exchange Numbers” interaction now also counts as sharing your number. ❤️

Send Number or Block/Unblock a Sim directly from the Relationship Panel — perfect for managing contacts quickly.

Blocked Sims can’t call or text, and you can unblock them anytime from the same menu.

Bosses can still contact your Sim about work, and drama calls (like crushes or social events) only trigger if the Sims have exchanged numbers.

🧠 What’s planned:

Custom Phone Settings Menu—Choose whether your Sim shares their number automatically or asks for permission first.

Per-Sim Contact List—View and manage exactly who has your Sim’s number.

New Social Interactions—Like "Ask for Number", "Give Fake Number", or "Revoke Number" for extra control and storytelling fun.

Reputation Impact—Giving your number to too many Sims might affect your Sim’s reputation… or attract unwanted attention. 👀

Caller ID System—See who’s calling before you pick up, with special icons for friends, crushes, exes, and more.

Privacy Traits Integration—Shy or Loner Sims may be less likely to give out their number, while Outgoing Sims might hand it out like candy.

Blocklist Consequences—Blocking someone might cause tension, awkward encounters, or even a bit of drama (if enabled).

Since this is a beta, things may still be a little wobbly—but it’s already making my Sims’ lives so much more peaceful. 😌

This pack brings you 20 brand-new one-level part-time jobs—designed for Sims who need a weekend gig or just a fun side hustle. Whether it’s teens making extra cash or adults juggling parenting or studying, this mod adds tons of flexibility and realism to your game.

🔹 What’s Included:

20 unique part-time jobs with realistic roles.

One-level structure—no promotions, just simple, satisfying work!

Chance cards for unexpected events and dilemmas, with over 300+ possible outcomes!

Daily tasks (phone OR computer—your choice for maximum flexibility).

Custom uniforms for extra immersion. They're all base game compatible, too.

Overmaxing: Sims can keep leveling performance past max, earning a small pay boost for top effort.

Boss Calls: Occasionally, your boss might call during the week asking if you can cover an extra shift.

Choose your shift: AM or PM—whatever fits your Sim’s schedule best.

Switch it up anytime using my Switch Branches mod—jump to any other job in the pack easily. UI Cheats has this feature too; just right-click on your Sim's career.

8th May 2025: Hi again, please redownload, as Patreon managed to corrupt the file.

This file is a core script library that contains all the shared resources needed for my mods that previously had separate script files (does not currently include my old retired careers). To reduce clutter and simplify updates, I’ve consolidated everything into one single script file.

What This Means for You

✅ Only ONE script file needed – If you use multiple mods by me, you no longer need separate .ts4script files for each one. ✅ Delete outdated script files – You can safely remove all my other .ts4script files except for midnitetech_RenameWorlds.ts4script (if you have it). ✅ Lot51’s CoreLibrary is still required – If a mod explicitly states it requires Lot51’s CoreLibrary, you still need to keep that installed.

Installation Instructions

1️⃣ Delete all older .ts4script files (except for midnitetech_RenameWorlds.ts4script). 2️⃣ Place midnitetech_modlibrary.ts4script in your Mods folder (no more than one subfolder deep). 3️⃣ Make sure script mods are enabled in your game settings.

This will ensure all my mods function properly while keeping your Mods folder neat and organized. 🚀 Patreon (free)
