GOODBYE!

After a year and a half of being here and gaining close to 2,000 followers, I have decided to start a new. I am still keeping Selyn, but I am completely changing her background and making an entirely new Tumblr. I’ve met and wrote with so many great people here, but I’m unfortunately not going to be able to interact with many of the people due to the new AU I have decided to play out. 

I wanted to thank absolutely mun everyone who has ever written with me and every muse who has made an impact on Lottie, good or bad. You guys are all amazing people, and I highly suggest each of you to each other! Thank you all, again, from the bottom of my heart. The list of people in this are in no particular order, and I tried my best to include everyone, so I am so sorry if I accidentally left anyone out. Until next time!

her nostrils flare a little wider, a smile awkwardly settling down on her features as she looks at the text, among the many others that were left unread. her cheeks go rosy with embarrassment as her smile grows, fingers hovering over her phone. who would imagine that she would have gotten close to the lottie ? from texting the wrong number to a blossoming friendship with someone whom she once considered her idol — still does, actually. it must have been the fates’ good day for that to happen !! however, what malia probably regrets most is leaving all of that behind for canada in june. they still kept in touch but nothing probably beat actually meeting in person. her fingers start typing out her reply.

i.  is there a snack you like to eat while writing? honestly, there isn’t any particular snack i eat? i just munch on whatever’s available at the moment so there’s a variety. however, i tend to lean more towards sweet things. i also drink a lot of water while writing, more so than snacking. i have my tumbler cup and straw with me most of the time. it makes me feel dignified.

ii.  what time of day do you usually write? it’s not really a matter of when i write because it’s mostly a matter of whether i have the motivation/inspiration/feeling to do it. but due to time and whatnot, i write more at night.

iii.  where do you write? in my room, for the most part, but i’m not opposed to writing down things that come into my mind on my phone or notebook wherever i may be.

iv.  how often do you write a new novel? i have never written novels; i’ve never had the patience to sit down and carefully plan out a story line chapter by chapter. believe me, i’ve tried and it turned out terribly cliched and all i could think of were possible scenes that could happen in future chapters. all my attempts were discarded in the end. however, if we’re talking about short scenes — i do those almost frequently, should an idea or some sort of inspiration strike me. it’s no joke, i’ve got plenty of different (short) scenes involving different characters that i’ve made up especially for a particular scene. like most scenes involve different characters.

v.  do you listen to music while you write? not really? i’m not really an audio kind of person so whenever i play music before i write, i always end up turning it off in the middle of writing. it kinds of ruins my train of thought.

vi.  what’s your writing utensil? paper or laptop? either one will do but recently i feel as though writing on the laptop is far easier? it’s probably because i don’t have to cancel anything out if i make a spelling mistake or grammatical error. it’s cleaner.

vii.  do you have a special pre-writing ritual? yes. i pray to apollo, god of poetry, and athena, goddess of wisdom, to grant me their blessings so that i can write to my fullest potential in order for everybody to read amazing decent writing. i’m kidding. jokes aside, i’d have to say i don’t really have any special thing i do before writing.

viii.  what do you do to get into the writing mood? read a book, watch a movie, listen to a song and so on. a lot of things put me in a writing mood and get me really inspired. so i’d have to say nothing?? i’m so sorry i’m so useless in answering these questions but for real. i don’t usually do anything.

ix.  what do you always have near the place you write? whatever that was already there?? um, myself?? 

x.  do you have a reward system for word counts? i don’t do anything like setting word counts for myself because i feel it restricts me in a way? i don’t know how to explain it. so no.

xi.  is there anything else about your writing process your readers don’t know? i think a lot about the words i’m going to use. it’s kind of weird. i always check up the meanings of the words i’m not sure of and double check until i’m certain it’s the appropriate word for the context that i’m writing it for. the same applies for phrases. also for some reason i’m very particular about how i word each sentence so i always read through whatever i write before saving them. i tend to reword some of my sentences so it would… flow(??) better when i read it. basically, i edit my writing a lot. but i’m never satisfied with it because it always seemed kind of stiff/awkward to me.

Lia is adorable for someone their age, blossoming, if he may add but he never did say that out loud although he finds bliss in being kind to everybody he meets. There’s a proper time for that, but not when they were taking the subway after he promised to walk her home as well.

It’s still a long way, people are leaving one by one until they are the only ones left in the coach. Chances are, after all the laughter, spending the day at the arcade and cafe, causing troubles with strangers, no doubt that she’s worn out since he’s watching her jolting her head back with her eyes closed.

She’s definitely falling asleep.

He gently wakes her up, hands at her sides to guide her in resting her head on his lap . His fingers run through her hair, not moving much in case that will wake her up from the quick nap she’s going to get.

soa almost kept her movie tickets until it would expire. fortunately and just in time, her friend showed up and she immediately stood up to greet her with a hug. ❝thank goodness, you’re finally here. i thought i was gonna watch this movie alone. what took you so long?❞

she welcomed the hug with open arms (haha, get it?), embracing soa as tightly as she could. as she pulled away, malia offered her friend a sheepish grin . “sorry!! i had to cover a biiit of my colleague’s shift since he was late. so i kind of rushed here. buuut to make up for, i could... hmm... pay for the snacks?”

she looks at the man warily, eyes shifting to the side. it’s suspicious; what kind of favour did he need to cause him to act in this manner? she should be on her guard. “hey... you know... i don’t do anything that would dishonour my family’s reputation... if that’s what could be at stake for me if do this---” a gulp “---favour of yours.” even though what came out of her mouth is completely and utterly ridiculous (he probably wouldn’t go that far), she’s pretty damned serious it’s almost hilarious.
