Have you ever wanted to draw something but you fought due to your skill level at the time you decide not to do it
This happens all the time! I mostly avoid complex poses because I think my skill level is not high enough. When that happens, I switch to scribbling in my sketchbook so I can get the idea out of my head without paying attention to perfectionism. After that I often scrape my original idea and move on to something else.
Fun fact: most of the time I come back a year later to revisit my scraped ideas with a better skill set.
Practice is the key 👍🏻

How do you find the motivation out of the blue to start drawing?
Do you feel like drawing or do you find yourself drawing (as if just happens) or do draw frequently just for practice?
Or, you don't even think about it much, just start drawing plainly and randomly?
Most of the time I start drawing whenever I have inspiration. That usually happens out of the blue while watching a movie or looking out of the window. I know it sounds cheesy but I find beauty in random objects. Just looking across a room can spark an idea.
It‘s even easier with fanart: I already have the character, now all I need to do is find a situation I can throw it in :)
